Grady's POV
Thursday night found me at the bar of the Social Club with my two closest friends, Morris Lorenzo and Darren Torres. Mid-conversation, I remembered the woman I'd suggested to Morris as a replacement for his departing assistant, Paula.
"Hey, Morris, did you interview the candidate I recommended?" I leaned forward, genuinely curious.
Morris took a sip of his whiskey before responding, "That's Paula's department. She's conducting a virtual interview with her tomorrow. From what I gather, Paula's already reviewed her resume, spoken with Diego Carson, and seems quite impressed. I believe she'll offer her the position."
His response was typical Morris—all business, no details.
"I'm intrigued. Abel mentioned she's exceptionally qualified," I pressed, fishing for more information.
"According to Paula, she certainly is," Morris confirmed, his expression revealing nothing.
