Hello ladies, gentlemen and anything else that finds itself reading this.
You may be wondering why, this fic hasn't updated in a bit, so I guess it's time to both explain and come clean about two separate things.
1) This fic having slower updates, this is due to the fact that I'm focusing on college (this is the main one) and another fic I'm writing. Now, I know what you're thinking, 'but Dr Facilier, we don't want you to update the other one, we want you to update this one'. Now here comes the real kicker, the existence of this fic.
2) This fic was an experiment. Yes you heard me right, it's all an experiment, keikaku and all that shit. I had this idea in my head that, I could get fics to the top 10, not only by them being well written but rather because of one simple combination of factors. A popular character + a popular verse. My results were conclusive soon enough, a resounding yes.
Now where am I going with all this? The point is this fic wasn't born out of my pleasure for writing, which honestly wasn't that big of a deal at first, in fact I felt myself get super invested but that all changed soon enough, I think you can guess why?
The tournament arc. It constricted me. That's why I tried to make it an arc about character development, which I think I managed to execute up to now, if it was well executed or not that is up to you, but still it was a slag to write. So I decided to start a secondary fic where I would have loads more of free room to write arcs, since that's what I find fun, having the liberty to write what I want (which this arc didn't allow since it's so damn enclosed).
Either way I think I explained myself well enough, and while I do enjoy writing this for the most part, this arc was grating beyond measure and the reason for the lack of updates.
I feel like most of you deserved an explanation as for why I wasn't writing this the past few days. Welp this is it.
This doesn't mean the fic is dropped as I will update soon enough, maybe not today or tomorrow but as soon as my writers block for this arc in particular has passed, which isn't a block more like a bump since I know what happens in this arc, (I have an outline for almost all the fic lol), I just haven't found the joy in writing it, so I haven't written it.
