"Sis, are you okay? You look a bit pale," said Jacob. He was looking at me with eyes filled with worry. His eyes made my heart stir for a moment.
What the hell am I doing?
I shouldn't project my worries on Jacob. It's not good for a child's growth. Yes, I should smile a bit.
Smiling weakly, I replied, "Nothing. Everything is fine with me. Now, eat your veggies. You should focus on that."
Jacob pouted, "I don't wanna!"
"You should eat your veggies, kid. Not everyone gets food to fill their stomach." An unfamiliar voice entered my ears.
I quickly turned back and saw a woman with sunglasses looking at us. She had a shoulder length hair. Her eyes and hair were both red in colour. She was smiling at us.
"Jacob, did you miss me?" asked the woman, waving at Jacob.
My blood ran cold. I snarled, "How the hell did you come in?"
