The temperature in the room seemed to drop about ten degrees. Everyone stared, mouths hanging open in disbelief. Sally looked like she might faint. The guy with the phone nearly dropped it.
Even the guards froze mid-step, suddenly looking a lot less confident about the whole "throwing me out" thing. But it was Vivian's reaction that really caught my attention.
All that smugness? Gone. The disdain? Vanished. The anger? Completely evaporated.
