Seraphina's POV
I closed my eyes and bit my lip as his hand reached for the clasp of my bra. One smooth flick and it came undone. Instinctively, I moved to cover myself, but his fingers wrapped around my wrists, firm yet gentle.
"Don't," he murmured, voice low, almost teasing. "You're still injured, remember?"
I froze, cheeks burning. Of course, I remembered. But hearing him say it like that—so calm, so commanding made my pulse race.
Then his hands moved to the waistband of my pajama pants. Every cell in the body tightened. I knew what was coming. I knew, and yet…I couldn't stop the anticipation from building inside of me.
He slid the fabric down slowly, almost deliberately. My underwear followed. I wanted to die from embarrassment. I wanted to vanish into the floor, yet every fiber of my being was electric.
"Open your eyes," he said softly.
I shook my head. No way. Not yet.
"You'll need to see where you're going," he murmured.
