Chapter 172: The Eyes of Death
Suddenly, you found yourself suppressing the effects of the Wolfbane. Your hand stabilized for a moment, and in that instant, you grabbed the dagger!
Pfft!
You didn't try to parry the incoming sharp claws, but instead, from your kneeling posture, you thrust the dagger upwards, along a black line beneath the Borisin's crotch!
"Awooo—!!!" The Borisin, who had been smug just a second before, instantly froze, his expression twisting into extreme agony. He let out a horrifying shriek, covering his lower body as he fell to his knees. "My… my… my lifeblood!!!"
This sudden scene made all the Borisin freeze. Their smiles vanished, replaced by shock as they stared at you, who had just been as humble as dust, but now had eyes as fierce as a wolf.
You didn't think; your body had already acted! Holding the dagger, you aimed at the clearest black line on the fallen Borisin's neck and slashed down fiercely! There was no resistance. The feeling wasn't like cutting through tough flesh, but like a hot knife slicing through butter. The dagger slid silently along that black line.
The Borisin's scream abruptly ceased as his massive head separated from his body and rolled to the ground, the shock and pain in his eyes forever frozen.
"Bastard! How dare you kill our people!"
"Kill that little bastard!"
The surrounding Borisin finally reacted, roaring as they attacked you! You immediately rolled to dodge, and in the chaos, you cut a Borisin's thigh.
"What?!" The Borisin looked at his wound in disbelief. It was only a shallow scratch, which should have healed instantly. But it didn't. The wound not only didn't heal, but it rapidly expanded, black death energy spreading from it, quickly draining the flesh of its vitality!
"My leg! What's wrong with my leg?!" he shrieked in terror. In a few breaths, his entire leg turned into decaying, dead flesh, and he crashed to the ground.
This scene stunned all the Borisin. You, for the first time, actively took a deep breath of the Wolfbane-filled air. Strangely, its effect on you was minimal. Something within you had awakened. The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception allowed you to see "death," while the Blessing of Abundance allowed your body to quickly adapt and develop resistance!
In the chaos, a claw left several deep wounds on your back. Intense pain struck, but immediately after, the wounds began to heal at a visible rate!
"How is this possible?!" The Borisin were shocked. "This kid's recovery ability… is even better than ours…"
You didn't give them time to think. Small and agile, you weaved among them, constantly cutting those "lines of death." A dagger cut a Borisin's ankle; his foot immediately lost all vitality, and he collapsed. Another's arm turned deathly grey from a tiny wound. Fear spread among them.
The gray-furred leader finally roared and lunged at you personally. "Little bastard, don't get too cocky!" He was too fast; you couldn't completely dodge. Sharp claws left five terrifying wounds on your chest. You only grunted and, with a backhand, struck along the thickest black line on his neck.
The leader's roar abruptly ceased. He covered his neck in shock, but couldn't stop the loss of life. "You… what kind of monster are you…?" He crashed to the ground, never understanding.
The remaining Borisin, seeing their leader dead, finally broke down and fled. But you didn't let them go. For your parents, for Jiang Li, for survival—you chased and slaughtered them one by one.
When the last Borisin fell, you finally exhausted all your strength, your head throbbing, and knelt in the pool of blood.
[Successfully annihilated the Borisin squad, Villain Value +500!]
"Bro… Brother…" Jiang Li's trembling voice came from behind. You turned and saw her staring blankly at you and the bloody battlefield. There was no fear in her eyes, only worry.
"Brother… you're hurt…" She stumbled towards you, tears streaming down her face.
"It's okay, these injuries will heal soon," you forced a smile. "We… need to leave here quickly."
You knew there were other Borisin on this ship. You pulled your sister, hiding and dodging through the starship that had become a living hell. But the ship was completely occupied. Finally, utterly exhausted, you could only take your equally weak sister and blend into another group of captured survivors. You lowered your head, reining in all your killing intent, transforming back into that inconspicuous Foxian cub. Then, you were escorted by the Borisin like cargo onto their massive warship…
