Finally, the long day came to an end. Yichen grabbed his bag and glanced at the tablet, making sure his boss's schedule for tomorrow was set. With a small stretch, he headed toward the elevator.
Inside, Manager Lu was already waiting.
"Yichen, what about dinner together?" Lu Nian asked with a friendly smile.
"That sounds good," Yichen replied, stepping in beside him.
Yichen hesitated before speaking. "Manager… do you think our boss has some kind of mental sickness?"
Lu Nian kept his eyes on the road once they were in the car. "Nope. Why do you ask?"
Yichen lowered his gaze. His mind was still tangled with the words that echoed from the office earlier. "It's nothing. I'm just…" He trailed off, unable to continue.
Lu Nian glanced at him briefly before returning his focus to the road. "Don't stress yourself too much. Boss has always been like that—cold and distant."
When they arrived at the restaurant, Lu Nian pushed open the door. "Come on, let's go."
