Chapter 2 - a new body with a new purpose destined to reshape his life

Falling deep in a completely different world. A shallow voice was calling out to him, urging him to wake up. "Wake up, my king. Wake up." Jason's eyelids fluttered open, and he saw three figures standing over him.

As his vision cleared, Jason took in his surroundings. He was on a battlefield, surrounded by strange creatures and eerie landscapes. The figures around him seemed to be waiting for him to rise, and one of them - a female elf - suggested putting him back to sleep.

But before she could cast a spell, Jason's hand moved of its own accord, grabbing the elf's wrist. "I'll take it from here," a voice that wasn't his own spoke.

The elf and the other two figures bowed their heads, acknowledging Jason as their king. "Yes, my king," they said in unison. Jason was confused and disoriented, unsure of what was happening or who he was supposed to be.

But before he could ask any questions, his body suddenly burst into flames, propelling him into the air like a rocket. Jason felt himself soaring towards the battlefield, his senses overwhelmed by the chaos and destruction around him.

As he descended towards the ground, Jason saw a group of soldiers - the silkslayers - slaughtering civilians and soldiers of the ark lord castle. The silkslayers looked up, noticing the fireball hurtling towards them. Jason's body seemed to be moving on its own, driven by a fierce determination to protect the castle and its inhabitants.

"Hold!!!" the general of the silkslayers bellowed, as his soldiers formed a curved shield to protect themselves. The civilians nearby scrambled for cover, sensing the impending chaos.

"I am Alkarene, the lord who never runs from death," the body spoke in a voice that sent shivers down Jason's spine. But Jason, still trapped in Alkarene's mind, protested, "I don't know who is talking, but I'm not Alkarene, I'm Jason, and I'm certainly not a lord!"

The mind of Alkarene responded, its voice laced with irritation, "We are kind of in the middle of the most epic, god-like intro, and you seem to be distracting me at the moment. Except you want to take over and fight all these bloodthirsty silkslayers yourself, shut the hell up."

Jason gulped, realizing he had no choice but to watch as Alkarene charged forward. With a burst of flames, Alkarene crashed into the silkslayers' shield, sending them flying and igniting a thirty-one-meter radius of fire around him.

Seven silkslayers soldiers rushed to put Alkarene down, but he blitzed towards them with supernatural speed. Alkarene shoved his hands into the chest of one soldier, ripping out his heart and shoving it into another soldier's mouth. The soldier's eyes widened in horror as Alkarene sent the body flying towards two other soldiers, causing them to tumble down the stairs.

Another soldier leapt down to Alkarene's position, spear in hand. "You could have run, but you decided your fate with your hands," Alkarene sneered, his eyes blazing with fury. Jason was terrified by the mind that controlled this body, which seemed to take pleasure in the carnage.

As three soldiers closed in on Alkarene, along with the one in mid-air wielding a spear, Alkarene took a deep breath. Time seemed to pause, and the music "I Can Do Anything" by Christopher Lennertz kicked in.

Alkarene moved with incredible speed, his body a blur of flames as he beheaded two soldiers with swift precision. The spines of the soldiers hung from their heads like gruesome trophies, and Alkarene used them to pull himself up into mid-air.

With a flick of his wrist, Alkarene used the spines to wrap around the legs of the soldier in mid-air, and then ripped them off with a force that sent blood gushing everywhere. The soldier's screams were cut short as his legs were severed, and he crashed to the ground.

As the general made a break for the exit, Alkarene gave chase, his movements fluid and deadly. "You are going nowhere," Alkarene sneered, grabbing the general by the neck and pointing a knife at him.

The two soldiers without heads still moved, their bodies twitching in a macabre dance. But Alkarene was already in a different position, holding the general hostage. He tapped his leg, and time resumed its normal flow.

The soldiers without legs fell to the ground, their bodies lifeless. The general struggled in Alkarene's grasp, but it was futile. Alkarene's eyes gleamed with a devilish intensity as he held the knife to the general's throat.

"You are going to pay for your crimes," Alkarene hissed, his voice dripping with malice. The general's eyes widened in terror as he realized his fate was sealed.

"As you can see, if you want this to go on, I'll happily oblige or take your bloody ass out, now!!!" Alkarene's voice was laced with menace as he glared at the remaining soldiers. They didn't need any further encouragement, fleeing in terror and leaving the general alone.

"Now we have unfinished business," Alkarene growled, his face twisted in a snarl. He dragged the general by the head down to a high edge in the castle, the general's eyes wide with fear.

"Look!!, look!! At the pain you've caused," Alkarene spat, his voice dripping with venom. Jason felt a strange connection to Alkarene's emotions, as if their hearts were linked. He could feel the pain and anger radiating from Alkarene's body.

The general struggled to turn his head, his eyes scanning the carnage below. He saw the bodies of the dead, the blood-soaked stones, and the devastation that he had caused. He knew his time was running out.

"Any last words?" Alkarene sneered, his grip on the general's neck tightening.

The general's eyes met Alkarene's, and for a moment, Jason thought he saw a glimmer of defiance. But it was quickly extinguished, replaced by a sense of resignation.

"Your fate shall be their fate," Alkarene declared, his voice echoing off the castle walls. Jason felt a shiver run down his spine as he realized that he was somehow connected to Alkarene's words.
