Chapter 12 - The Rescue God Risei

Kei Yakuchi hesitated for a moment when faced with these three options.

Actually, from a purely rational perspective, the first option was definitely the best.

Because "Option Two" would offend Furuta, and "Option Three" was even more unwise.

Kei Yakuchi had already gained abilities by fusing with Uchiha Madara; being transformed into an artificial Half-Ghoul through experimentation was completely redundant.

This thing not only provided him with little help but also carried significant risks.

In the early parts of the original work, Akihiro Kanou performed thousands of experiments using Kamishiro Rize as a donor, and only Kaneki Ken, Kurona, and Nashiro truly succeeded, reborn as "Artificial One-Eyed Ghouls," with a success rate of only 0.25%.

No matter what, Kei Yakuchi could not risk becoming an artificial Half-Ghoul and gaining 50 fusion points; if the experiment failed, he would either die or be crippled, and the failure rate was extremely high.

As for the problem with "Option Two," the reason it would offend Furuta is that the "falling rebar incident" was actually orchestrated by Furuta himself.

According to Furuta's own account in the original work, he helped Kamishiro Rize gain freedom, but Kamishiro Rize, after escaping the Washuu Family, completely ignored him, only caring about seducing men and then preying on them.

Therefore, Furuta retaliated against Kamishiro Rize, deliberately planning the "falling rebar incident" to make Kamishiro Rize a donor, suffering ceaselessly.

It seemed to be due to Furuta's yandere and petty personality, but Kei Yakuchi believed this was just Furuta's excuse.

Analyzing it from a deeper perspective, one can see that Furuta had long been filled with pessimism and despair about this world; even if Kamishiro Rize hadn't done those things, everything Furuta later planned would still have happened.

His goal was very direct and simple: to destroy this world; whether it was joining the "Clown Organization" or making Rize an experimental donor, all his actions were paving the way for "Dragonification."

He even intentionally pushed Kaneki Ken to the throne in the later part of the original work; on the surface, it seemed he was opposing Kaneki Ken until the very end, but some details reveal clues that he had prepared two outcomes from the beginning.

One was to completely destroy this world using "Dragon," with all humans being transformed into Ghouls by "Dragon gas."

The second was for him to be defeated by Kaneki Ken, and "Dragon" to be killed by Kaneki Ken, making Kaneki Ken, as the One-Eyed King and savior, possess extremely high prestige, capable of achieving a temporary and relative peace between humans and Ghouls.

However, Furuta himself might have preferred the outcome of world destruction, as all humans becoming Ghouls would also thoroughly resolve the conflict between humans and Ghouls, and there were indeed solutions for the food problem.

Of course, these were all Kei Yakuchi 's speculations, with no particularly reliable evidence.

In any case, Furuta had to create "Dragon," otherwise, neither outcome could be achieved.

Then the only candidate for the experimental donor was Kamishiro Rize, the purest-blooded "Washuu," because only the Washuu bloodline could "Dragonify," and an artificial Half-Ghoul also needed to be created, and this Half-Ghoul needed to have the Washuu bloodline from Kamishiro Rize.

Historically, a naturally born Half-Ghoul appeared in the Washuu Family, known as the true "First One-Eyed King"; only he successfully "Dragonified," and everything Furuta did was modeled after the "First One-Eyed King's" Dragonification process, making Rize a necessary sacrifice.

As for Furuta's personality, it's hard to say if he was truly that petty.

If he really had such strong control over Kamishiro Rize and was so petty, Kaneki Ken would have died during that "falling rebar incident"; it would have been effortless for Furuta to retaliate against this "love rival" with no background.

In summary, if Kei Yakuchi were to save Kamishiro Rize now, it would be equivalent to obstructing Furuta's "Dragonification" plan, and he would inevitably offend Furuta.

"As expected, I still can't let go..."

After much consideration, Kei Yakuchi still decided to return to that place and rescue Kamishiro Rize.

He did not deny his double standards; if it were another Ghoul he didn't know who wanted to eat him or cruelly toy with him, let alone save them, he would definitely kill the other party if he had the ability.

But the other party was Kamishiro Rize, a character he felt was tragic and pitiful.

Kamishiro Rize was extremely miserable after becoming an experimental donor, sustaining her life with nutrient solution that barely provided nutrition, because Ghouls' regenerative abilities are strong and they do not die easily.

Undergoing countless experiments and having her Kakuho organs extracted countless times, coupled with the physical torment and long-term lack of human flesh, eventually led Kamishiro Rize to become directly insane and disoriented.

Finally, she became the core of "Dragon" and was only freed when killed by Kaneki Ken.

Kei Yakuchi felt a deep sense of dissatisfaction when he saw Kamishiro Rize's ending like that.

Now that he had transmigrated to this world, how could he not change the regrets and dissatisfactions in his heart?

...

Kei Yakuchi quickly returned to Kamishiro Rize's side.

Looking at the tragic scene before him, Kamishiro Rize was unconscious, pinned under some rebar.

He used all his strength to move the rebars off Kamishiro Rize's body, thankfully, Ban Ye's taijutsu also brought him physical qualities far superior to ordinary people, otherwise, rebar of this weight would be impossible for an average person to move.

Before Kamishiro Rize could be discovered by passersby and reported to the police, Kei Yakuchi quickly left the scene, carrying Kamishiro Rize.

Before leaving, he also looked up at the top of the construction site but did not see Furuta's figure.

It seemed Furuta had already left, but he didn't know if Furuta had seen him rescue Kamishiro Rize...

As for stopping the bleeding and similar operations, there was no need; Kamishiro Rize's regenerative ability was much stronger than that of an average Ghoul, and she would heal herself quickly.

Having no other good place to go, Kei Yakuchi took Kamishiro Rize directly back to his home.

Ding! The host has completed Option Two, receiving a reward: 10 Fusion Points!

He carried Kamishiro Rize to the bed, lay her down, and sat beside her, slowly waiting for Kamishiro Rize to heal and wake up on her own.

Kamishiro Rize, who had been frequently preying, had no shortage of rc cells in her body, and her regeneration speed was quite fast; Kei Yakuchi didn't wait long before Kamishiro Rize woke up.

The moment Kamishiro Rize opened her eyes and saw Kei Yakuchi , she instantly remembered being knocked out by rebar, and she instinctively thought Kei Yakuchi had ambushed her.

So she suddenly stood up, her Kakuugan (Ghoul Eye) appeared, and four Rinkaku Kagune immediately emerged from her waist.

Seeing Kamishiro Rize awake, Kei Yakuchi calmly reminded her, "Calm down first; I saved you."
