Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Summon

Inside the tower: A pure luxurious hallway with light torch flickering showing the entire room.

Endless, in his actual humanoid form, slowly walks towards the hall.

His footsteps echo whenever he gets close. The carpet beneath his feet was indeed woven from real hold threads but intertwined with strands of otherworldly materials - shimmering like stardust and faintly with magical energy.

The golden fibers seemed pulse with life of their own, occasionally revealing subtle patterns that shifted and change before his eyes.

The carpet led towards his throne.

The air around the throne felt charged with spiritual energy, causing small particles of dust to float and dance in the ethereal light.

While his features humanoid creation, where all kneeling before him. While he walks calmly in between them.

The humanoid figures remain perfectly still, their eyes fixed on the ground. The atmosphere was thick with both admiring and awe. This was their moment of their loyalty to their creator.

Woooshh.

A tail slowly moves around the throne.

Behind the throne was surrounded by an impressive display of dragons heads, each one representing a different breed. Some had multiple heads, while others sported fearsome horns and razor-sharp teeth.

The dragon silent waited for their creator.

The dragons eyes glowed.

A silent moment fell over the hall as endless reached the stone steps leading to the throne. The creatures whispered ceased, and all eyes remained fixed on the ground.

Once, he slowly sat.

The throne itself seemed to radiate power, its ancient pulsing with an almost heartbeat - like rhythm.

Ding...

A sudden rang noise.

The throne interface materialized before him - a holographic display that hovered in the air. The system interface was both modern and ancient, combining advanced technologies with mystical symbols.

Ploop! (Ding sound)

[Welcome back Endless.]

The warm greeting message floated above the throne, written in both English and an otherworldly script that seemed to shift and rearrange itself.

Endless chuckles, "I never thought I'll be in this tower in person."

The system detected his unique ability to comprehend the language, adjusting its interface to accommodate his understanding.

The screen once again rearranged.

The holographic display shifted, presenting information in a format that he could easily comprehend - a detailed overview of the current state.

[The tower will now be active]

[Connected to the server]

[Floors being add]

[Scanning...]

So many info popping in the screen. While endless was getting amazing by the features of realistic holograms. This was a game system where he had the controls.

"Sweet..." He muttered.

He slowly peers throughout the hall.

The diverse creatures remain kneeling, their bodies tense with anticipation as their ruler surveys them from his throne. Some glance up briefly, quickly averting their eyes when they meet his.

Their face reveal a mix of fear, curiosity, and submission acceptance of their position as their subject.

Inside, endless mind was like at "aw." He wasn't showing with his straight expression. He kept showing less emotion, keeping his character as it is, knowing how excited he is from within.

Ploop!

The pop-up screen displays a live feed of surroundings forest, where various demonic entities prowl through the dense trees.

Kekeke... (Laughter)

Goblins scurry between bushes while sharpening their wooden stake hunt in the shadows.

Endless slowly look at other screen.

The screen shows in a distance that he can see dragons circling the sky, their scale glinting in the sunlight as they patrol the area around the tower.

Beep! Beep! Beep! (Alarm)

A sudden alert sound echoes through the room, causing several creatures to flinch.

"Mmm... search," his voice changed.

The system heard his command.

The pop-up screen shifts to show a different area - a breach outside of the tower.

A dozen knight figures are attempting to reach the tower wall, and he can hear the distance shouts and horses of marching towards them.

"Interesting... We have guests, but sadly. I don't have time. You all can see my tower, but you won't be able to get in without my permission."

He waves his hand.

To shut off the screen and look towards his creatures.

"You'll remain inside. Until you are order to leave the premises," his word is serious and firm.

They all remain their position.

Each and everyone understands his command.

***

Back at the MistWood kingdom.

"Hey, did you see that yesterday?"

"What you mean?! Of course! Everyone see it. How could anyone not see that big tower over there."

The buzzes with frantic activity as news of the tower spread. Nobles gather in their hall, discussing strategies and sending scouts to investigate.

"Did any news come from the scouts?"

"No, sir. We are still waiting for the orders."

"How did it appear right under our noses?"

"We found numerous creatures roaming and attracted to that tower."

"It seems like we're not alone. We're all curious about that damn tower."

The royal advisor whispers about the potential threat, while the knight prepares to guard the outside kingdom in case a worse scenario. The tower sudden appearance has caused widespread unease among the kingdoms inhabitants.

The advisor huddled together in the war meeting room, their voices hushed but urgent.

The advisor steps forward.

"Your majesty, this tower could be a work of dark magic. We must investigate further immediately."

A map of the kingdom lies spread across the table, mark with notes about the tower's surrounding areas.

The king said, "Any sudden movement from the tower?"

The advisor shook.

Their were no news yet or any suspicion activities.

The king spoke again.

"Have our scouts reported any activities from within? Are they friendly or hostile?"

A map of the towers surroundings shows various markers indicating scout position and camping while patrolling the area.

One reply back to their majesty.

"So far... none..." He responds with a respectful tone.

The king's brow furrows as he studies the map, his fingers tracing the lines marking the towers perimeter.

"No activity? That's what worries me the most. If they're not hostile, what are they planning?" The king's felt unease.

They still don't know what's inside the tower.

The king turns to another advisor, his voice carrying a note of concern.

"Send more scouts, and send the news to each guild in this kingdom. I want each of them to send their best adventurers to scout this place."

The advisor nods.

He then asked the king.

"When you say all guild? Does that include raven, scavenger, and Hunter guild?" He said with unsure.

These three guilds were filled with criminals, psychopath.

The king expression darkened slightly at the mention of those guilds but maintained his composure.

"I guess so... and if they refused?" The advisor nervous tone.

The king's voice turns cold and authoritative as he answers.

"I'll not tolerate it. It'll be treason. They'll face consequences for their actions."

His eyes flash dangerously as he considers the potential consequences of any guild refusing order. However, the king was more worried about the S-rank, and above them are saints and star rank.

The king knows they were the most strongest rankers, but he doesn't have the authority to go against them. They are eligible to refuse any requests from royals knowing their unimaginable power, which was enough to threaten him and the kingdom itself.

The king said, "Make sure you sent them a message. It's not an order but a request from the kingdom. I, the king, am requesting any high-level rankers that are above A-rank. To fully support and help out our kingdom. I'll also be personally rewarded them afterwards for their bravery."

The advisor was taking notes while nodding.

It seems the king was not foolish.

"I'll report it immediately." Advisor said with firm and straight tone.

The king sits and leans back with concern.

***

News spread all over the kingdom. The king is literally requesting higher rankers from the guilds. Even the famous once.

Each guild member was now getting the reports.

[The knight guild]

"Mmm... it seems like I'm going to this unknown tower."

A new figure reveals himself.

The man was no other Alexander fifth. Known as the righteous knight. His class swordsman and his rank is A.

He wears lightweight silver armor that easily stretches and avoids any heavyweight armor that slows his movements. His hair is black, white skin, spiky hair cut, and delicate facial expression.

A his colleagues ask.

"Alexander. Do you need me to accompany you?" Her voice with concern.

His colleague is Anna.

She was his right hand, and also his trusted member of knight guild. Her class is Scout, and her weapons are a dagger and bow with arrows.

She wears a lightweight armor with pure metal. Her hair is blond while her bust is enormous, and her body is slim and thick. Her skin is white while wearing a knight armor suit that barely covered her skin.

Alexander replied, "No, I need you here. Besides, I'm interesting... to see this tower."

Anna nodded without worries.

[The goblin guild]

Three adventures in the meeting.

A man wearing armor coated with black fur. While folding his arm and flexing his muscle and staring at the king request paper.

The guild leader known as Henry.

His rank is B.

His class is a warrior. He carried a long, heavy sword.

And his two formal colleagues.

Jack, his rank is C-rank, and his class is fighter type. His second colleague is Jake, his class is a swordsman, and his class is also a C-rank.

"Let's move out."

"This should be fun."

"Our men are lined up and ready."

The goblins guild was set.

[Scavenger guild]

Inside the guild.

Tons of adventurers were enjoying themselves. These adventurers were filled with criminals.

The intense atmosphere was creepy.

A few women were dancing and showing off their techniques, exposing their private parts. While criminals were enjoying themselves with beers and watching women like a predator.

Each adventurers were showing off their past crimes while groping women left to right. They all heard about the news.

Each member wasn't even considering the king request.

"Haha... that old man thinks is above the law."

"I'm not fucking going."

"I might as well cut the kings throat."

Each were smiling with serious senile maniac expression.

At the upper level floor.

Filled with drunken women.

One particular man wearing a green shirt. Buzz cut hairstyles with waves, white and smooth skin. In his 20s, while wearing silver and gold rings. Eye glow pure red with sinister smug in his face.

His right arm shows three headed snake tattoos in full sleeve.

"Gekeke... this damn king. Thinks he can order me," his voice filled with venomous and devious. While showing a sinful smug on his lips.

This man is an S-rank.

His name is morphious.

He crumbles the paper and throws it away.

"Not worth my time..." His voice filled with venomous and calm. Morphious denied the king's request without even considering the consequences.

The other S-ranker from other guilds responded back.

The strongest rankers in Raven and Hunter Guild refused the king's request. The S-rankers were enjoying their pleasure.

However, they sent their lowest rankers instead.

Back at Chameleon Guild.

The entire guild was looking at the task board. Each were concern about the tower task, while each weren't even sure if they wanted to go or not.

"Tisk... this is crazy. How could we not volunteer?"

"Shit. This is basically telling us to go on suicide mission."

"We only have few low rankers."

Each member was complaining about the kings request. They wanted to refuse, but those below S have to join no matter what.

Paulina with worried expression.

"This is very serious. The king order is absolute." She said with firm tone.

Daniel said, "It seems we don't have to say in this," His voice filled with concern.

Victoria replied, "It seems your shield will come in handy after all."

Paulina was nervous.

She has been wanting to stay away from going on a dangerous quest, knowing well how difficult it was. Now, the king is literally threatened them if we don't go.

She was now looking for a group to party with. However, she needed a group that she could rely on.

"Mmm... let's think," she muttered under her breath.

Then, two figures came across her mind.

"That's it!" She said with excitement. She figured out how she'll survive.

She thought about endless and Clara.
