Chapter 5 – Goddess of the Earth Gaea's Divine Diary
"Mummy it is ok, you will get better." Looking at my daughter with gentle eyes I told her to live her life happily. Find a man you love and start a family, our race is very long-lived so live a good life. After closing my eyes I think of my few lingering regrets.
Leaving my daughter all alone and not getting to see the man I love once again are truly my biggest regrets. As everything goes black I feel a sharp pain, then I wake up in a lounge by myself. In front of me was an old man with wrinkles covering his face. It was the same face I remember who saved me from the forest, the same face that would always leave me alone but it is the face I love.
"Zeus!" With tears running down my face he hugs me. "Where have you been for the past 10 years."
"I'm sorry, I wasn't able to check on you sooner Gaea." With tears starting to stream down his face he continues his explanation.
"I am the creator of this world, of many worlds. I couldn't return for our daughter's sake. If I had returned she would have awakened as being a demigoddess. Even if I was to try to contact you using my oracle ability there was a chance she may react to my divine energy. I wished for her to live a normal life even for a time."
As I look at Zeus in disbelief I asked, "Are you truly the God who created the world I am from?" As I push myself away from him to look into his eyes he responds.
"Yes I am, look at that Gaea" Pointing towards a window that had its curtains drawn until a brief moment ago I looked outside. Planets were flying around us until it passed by one and they stopped. After looking at the planet that has stopped by the window I looked at Zeus.
This is your world but there is something more important to discuss. It's about our daughter, you have two choices. Option one is to let her live her life back in your original world, Once she becomes an adult you can go down and speak to her to see if she wants to become a god. Option 2 I will create a new world and you can live as a family there once again. I have paused the world at the moment of your death, So you don't have to worry about our daughter. So take your time and think about it"
After taking a deep breath I told Zeus my choice, "Option 2, I don't want to leave her by herself."
A few years have passed since the day I originally died. Since Zeus cant interact with our daughter he made me the goddess of the earth. Zeus fast-forwarded the world to a comfortable point. The only difference was this world has little mana. Zeus called this type of world a technology-based world. After Zeus made me a god I took the appearance of a human. He said that humans are one of the best races for tech worlds or something like that.
I have been a little worried though recently since my little girl hasn't made any new friends. She told me they are all scared of her due to her pointed ears and the scary vibes coming from her. When Zeus found out he wanted to destroy the town. Even though Zeus said those things I doubt he would actually do it though.
It has been a few months since I found out about my daughter being picked on for having pointy ears. Zeus made a recent discovery, Aura has begun to awaken her godly powers and that is part of the reason why the kids were scared of her.
We realized even though I would teleport to the opposite side of the planet when I went to talk with Zeus. I was left with very mild amounts of his divine energy inside my body. His energy naturally got incorporated into me. Since Zeus's power is the purest form of natural energy my Earth Dominion naturally absorbed it. So before I headed back I could only sense my divinity.
It's been 5 years since I died in my original world and my daughter looks around 13 now. She has recently started to follow a boy around. He was the first friend she had made since coming here. I'm pretty sure she has a crush on him because he is the only thing she talks about. Zeus threatened to smite him if he dares to lay his hands on her. I told him not to make our daughter's only friend disappear or she would be sad and he just grumbled.
A few days ago Aura came back crying because her crush got hurt while fighting with other kids. When I asked why he was fighting them she cried more, telling me it was her fault because they were calling her a demon and he got upset. Looking slightly surprised, I told her that is what people do to protect the people close to them and she should be happy that her crush protected her.
Since that day I have been trying to stop Zeus from sending the boy to the other side of the planet. He is grateful he has been protecting her from the kids bullying her so he downgraded his punishment from smiting to banishment? The punishment is because our daughter wants to get married to him.
It has been 6 years since we came to earth and Aura has awakened her powers. Her crush got injured by pushing her out of the way of a car. When she was on her way home she didn't check the road and nearly got hit. Zeus teleported her to him and healed the boy; however by the time he paused the world Aura had already destroyed the car in her rage.
Since our daughter can't control her powers we have forbidden her to descend to the lower worlds. She was very upset and her power lashed out proving our point. Luckily because we were in Zeus's divine realm we didn't have to worry about deaths since it's impossible to die in the divine realm.
I would often check on our depressed daughter, we both felt bad for her since she wasn't able to see her crush anymore. We decided to run earth at the normal speed, and allow Aura to help us manage our worlds and promised her that if she can learn to control her powers we would let her descend to earth.
Even though our daughter had many people she could talk to or play with due to Zeus's other wives/Gods she didn't interact much with them. In her free time, she would practice controlling her power or she would secretly watch her old childhood crush. At this point, 10 years have passed since the day of her powers being awakened.
The boy was in his mid-twenties and started working in an office. He would rarely speak to people apart from his friend Jack from work about games. After Zeus healed the boy he erased everyone's memories of our daughter including the incident. However, the boy didn't fully forget and he would periodically ask people if they knew where our daughter was. This even shocked Zeus, he believes it may be a by-product of him being exposed to a high amount of divine energy but I like to think of it as the power of love.
Aura asked me to pause earth while she is still getting used to her powers. At this point, I have taken over the management of a few new worlds due to this world running at a normal speed. Nodding my head I agreed under the condition that she works hard to learn to control her powers.
Knowing from my past experience if I didn't agree I knew my daughter would become more rebellious. She even told Zeus that if he smites her crush she would never forgive him. Even though at this point I'm pretty sure Aura's feelings are more than a crush. Zeus nearly cried when his precious daughter said this.
Around 3 years have passed and Aura can nearly control her power. In a few years, she should be able to descend to the planet again, however, Zeus suddenly called a meeting for all the gods.
Technically our daughter isn't a true deity; however, no one says anything since she is his favorite. While we were at the meeting Zeus informed us of his new method to look for possible new creator deities. He told us about a game he finished creating recently.
There are three achievements available. The first 3 people to achieve one of the achievements he would rebirth into Gods of Creation. Each achievement is harder than the last. He would only give access to this system to the set number of top geniuses in each world and let them compete against each other.
Even though the earth is still pretty primitive compared to the otherworlds. The earth was able to use the game as well since earth reach the beginning of the first tier of technologies.
Later on, that day Aura decided to ask me to unpause the world, "It wouldn't be fair to leave the people on earth out if they could join in also." With a devious smirk, she walks off. Me knowing what she was about to do I went to speak to Zeus.
Our daughter is about to give access to the game to her crush. After telling him this `he was surprisingly calm. "At this point, I gave up trying to stop her from going after him. I have a fair bit of respect for the boy." Looking at Zeus in surprise he continues "You know how he remembers when Aura was still living on earth. Hades and I did some experimenting on that and discovered that a child exposed to divine energy has a minor evolution. Look at the report"
After reading the report it said the biggest change was their lifespans being on average doubled however, the biggest shock was the part about the memory. When they would remove memories of a person after the evolution they could maintain fragments of the memories by using sheer willpower, since we can't use too much power on a mortal without killing them. However, after reading the last bit my heart sunk. The cost of doing so normally leaves them with a much lower lifespan. He would probably only live to half his original lifespan.
With respect showing in Zeus's eyes he states in a clear and calm voice."It would be a pretty painful experience since it slightly damages the person's soul. But it shows how much he didn't want to forget Aura. " after saying this he lets out a sigh.
"I will let her give him the game. Even if he doesn't get any of my achievements I will still reincarnate him as an assistant god for our little girl as a reward for his efforts. "
Bang... Bang! … Bang, bang, bang! While laying with Zeus on his bed all we hear are doors slamming open. After aura runs into the room, she tells us earth has paused with an excited expression on her face.
I open up the system page and I was completely shocked. "Zeus you better look at this, the hardest achievement has just been unlocked."
While Zeus was checking his game I went over to Aura and whispered in her ear. "You better prepare for what's to come. Don't forget that I love you and you can come back any time." After I finished my words Zeus ask to speak to Aura on her own. I wished her luck and leave.
Later on, Zeus tells me Aura is gone and she told him to pass on a message. "Thank you for everything you have done Mother! I love you and we will definitely meet again soon. " After Zeus finished playing back the recording of Aura I couldn't help but cry.

In the prologue when Nathan felt loads of pain when being reborn as a god of creation, Zeus did it on purpose because he was being petty AF about giving aura to him. (I call it rebirthing to help separate when someone is reborn inside the world normally) Nathan also picked up Zeus was being sarcastic when he said so you won't be lonely but Nathan didn't know why.
Zeus kept bragging in front of Nathan in the prologue to make himself seem better than Nathan. He learned puffing out his chest from Aura that's why Nathan has the impression that Zeus is senile. Lmao
