Chapter 10 - Volume 1 Journey Chapter 10 Mystery

It is said that misfortunes never come singly, and this is especially true in the Sealed Forest.

The bait intended to hunt the red-tailed vulture was devoured by the small landowner of the ground area, the Hell Three-headed Dog, and the evil dog, having fallen into the trap and gone berserk, followed the scent of the adventurers into the camp.

In fact, from the moment he entered the area, LAN discovered that it was the territory of the Hells. Anita, rarely, made a joke with everyone, calling the Hells "Little Landowner", but this name was unusually apt. At this moment, the king of the magic dogs was driving the other animals in the area to attack their camp.

The lower monsters, unwillingly, rushed in through the main entrance of the camp, made a circle and slipped away, and the higher ones, after a few spells, also slipped away. LAN didn't even practice auxiliary spells, and most people were just symbolically driving away the monsters.

The berserk Hellheaded dog finally realized that this group of people was not an easy nut to crack, and calmed down to drive away the lower monsters around.

LAN stood up and Anita held the pair of daggers in her hand.

The Hellish Three-headed Dog, after all, is a high beast, and when serious, it will definitely not be easier to deal with than Karen.

One after another, summoning magic arrays lit up on the ground, and Hellhound appeared one after another. Even LAN's face showed a solemn look. "Everyone, be careful not to get hurt. The curse attached to their minions will make healing ineffective."

The Hellish dogs quickly formed a line under the roar of the Hellish three-headed dogs.

"The three-headed one." There was a firmness in Anita's gaze, which seemed unfathomable to others, but in LAN's eyes she was extremely direct and candid, though he did not know why she had pleaded so almost helplessly when they first met.

Anita Talia is very powerful. Even if she were to face the Three-headed Dog of Hell, she might not lose. However, LAN doesn't want her to reveal all her abilities so soon. After all, a saint who emerges out of nowhere is very likely to be coveted by others. A girl who has no idea how to get along with people will easily become a victim of the mundane world if she is not careful.

As LAN set out to cast spells of assistance and defense on everyone, he was lost in his thoughts about Anita, a pure saint as white as a sheet of paper, and was not sure he could protect her.

In addition to the Hells, the Hells Scorpion was summoned by the Hells Three-headed Dog. These scorpions, which liked to attach themselves to the hells, often stung people when they were having an extraordinary difficulty. Although the stinger in their tails was not fatal, it also had effects such as paralysis and retardation. What was worse, these negative states were difficult to be expelled by magic before the toxin was cleared. Of course, this is in the case that Zhilan is really an apprentice.

The divine technique of Holy Light, which is practiced by Pastor Tenth-level Light, can expel the negative state from all people within the range. And for LAN, it would be easy to perform the divine power technique of the Tenth-level Light Sacrifice, but since he was an apprentice, he was happy not to use a wide range of divine spells with additional positive states.

But Anita did not think so. She would end the battle as quickly as possible, so the 'Miracle of the Holy Light' that almost covered the entire battlefield also appeared as she transformed the fighting energy into the divine attribute.

A divine spell that can only be used by a level 20 Light of the divine.

LAN frowned slightly, probably because he was thinking too much, he didn't even notice that a tiny Hell scorpion was approaching him from behind.

But LAN was lucky, though, the Hell scorpion that tried to sneak up on him was unlucky.

On the front, a Hellhound broke through the line of defense and pounced on LAN. LAN took a unhurried step back and happened to step on the Hellscorpion that was just trying to sneak up. Though on the verge of death, it was a beast after all, much more tenacious than a normal animal, and struggled to pull out the venomous needle from its tail.

LAN seemed to realize what he had stepped on and stepped back again, but just as he had seen what was being stepped on, the ill-fated scorpion's head was stepped on by the Hellish dog, and the scorpion, whose head was being stepped on, struggled desperately and thrust its poisonous needle hard into the Hellish dog's big foot. The poison, which is not yet lethal to a man, is almost negligible to the Hellish dog, but the pain is inevitable. As soon as the pain-eating dog raises its head, it meets the silver longbow that appears out of nowhere in LAN's hand.

Probably because the distance was too close, a silver-white current shot through the dog's roaring mouth and from its abdomen nailed the dog's hind leg along with the ill-fated scorpion to the ground.

The magnificent silver-white light net quickly devoured its target, and the Hellhound's wailing before death made all the Hellhound retreat a little.

LAN's expression remained calm as he raised his head to look at the Hellhound fighting with Anita, and then raised his bow again, but this arrow was not aimed at the Hellhound. Instead, it burst open a huge rock beside Anita, and with the bursting sound came a scream.

"Gargoyle!" Simon Xia, without a moment of surprise, summoned several ice and fire element arrows. This monster was very resistant to magic, and the stones were hard, and ordinary swords could hardly cause any damage to it.

Fortunately, though, there happened to be both ice and fire elemental mages in the team. Under the guidance of Simon Xia, the single element might not deal much damage to the Gargoyle, but now even the lowest fire element arrow, when combined with the freezing spell, can cause the Gargoyle to crack constantly until it turns into a pile of rubble.

The Gargoyle and the Hellhound are not Allies. They were trying to pick the cheaper one, but LAN pulled them out and it turned into a three-way melee, though the pressure on the little Black Cat Adventure team was much lighter.

Anita Talia successfully chopped off two heads of the Hell Three-headed Dog, nimbly retreated to LAN's side, and her right forearm was stained with a large patch of blood. The dagger was left in the left hand, and the original dagger in the right hand was stuck in the last living head of the Hellhound.

The five fingers of the right hand flexed and stretched, and the dagger of the left hand was handed to the right hand. The golden fighting energy quickly turned silvery white, and it was about to rush out, but LAN grabbed it.

Carefully examining her arm, it was determined that it was just a scratch and nothing serious before releasing her, "Annie, you stay." But she was not allowed to go into battle again.

Looking at LAN with a little surprise, because she withdrew from the fight, the line of defense tightened again.

"Stand inside and support them with spells. Leave the rest to me." "LAN said.

Anita Talia hesitated for a moment, but still nodded.

The bow in LAN's hand began to shoot, and both the Gargoir and the Hellhound were killed in one shot, but not because of Anita's injury, but because he had a vague sense that more monsters wanted to divide the territory!

The Gargoyle was just one of the ones he had discovered. The sky was filled with the colorful vulture, and the wind was filled with the unpleasant laughter of the eagle-body gorgon, and the Hellish three-headed dog was roaring like it was going crazy.

In the eyes of the crowd, it seemed to be the dying struggle of a high beast.

LAN's expression was even more solemn. He had already shot the Three Hells six arrows in a row, but the howls of the three Hells, which were withering in the light net, grew louder and louder.

The gargoyle suddenly receded like a tide, and the laughter of the eagle-body gorgon vanished at some point, while the colorful vultures in the sky gathered frantically, and all the Hells retreated to the side of the Hells.

"Don't go over!" LAN stopped several of his companions who wanted to pursue him. "Back off." There was an uncontrollable tension in his tone.

Simon Xia and Garcia had already cooperated to stand in front of him, and the members of the Little Black Cat Adventure team had retreated behind him, and then the mercenaries hesitated for a moment and followed back, forming a semi-circular formation suitable for defense.

The howl of the Hellhound grew fainter and fainter, and finally it fell silent. It trembled slightly and lay on the ground, and the Hellhound retreated behind it and crouched on the ground.

"What could it be?" Looking at the huge magic array on the ground, Simon. Xia couldn't help asking, not expecting anyone to answer him.

"The master of the Hellish three-headed dog - the Hellish gatekeeper." As LAN spoke, the "Holy Light Spell" representing the Tenth-order Light Priest and the "Divine Power Spell" representing the Tenth-order Light Sacrifice were released.

"Will lose." " When the figure of the great Hell gatekeeper emerged in the air, Anita Talia suddenly said.

Although it was just a planar projection, it had already put a huge pressure on people. Take the little Black Cat Adventure team for example, they had basically shrunk into a ball under such pressure. Gasiah and the four level 14 mages in the mercenary corps are all gritting their teeth and calling out, Simon. Xia and the rest of the warriors also turned pale involuntarily, only LAN and Anita were safe and sound.

The longbow in LAN's hand had already been drawn with a real arrow to break the magic, and in Anita's hand was the "Miracle of the Holy Light" that had not yet been released. Preparing two high-level divine arts in one day, even a saint could not bear it.

Although the projections were not even in physical form, but in terms of body shape, the people were no more than dwarfs just reaching their knees in the eyes of the Hellkeeper.

The gatekeeper looked at the three-headed dog on one side and then at LAN on the other side, and a cruel smile appeared on the ugly corner of his mouth.

The sky suddenly darkened, and the clouds turned a fiery red, swirling over the heads of the people.

LAN was startled, "Crimson!" With his almost urgent call, a red light flew out of his arm, circled him, and then shot straight up into the sky.

"It's Meteor Hell!" Simon Xia even forgot to spread his defense, but LAN's "shelter" protected everyone in time.

The burning meteorites did not fall to the ground as the gatekeeper had expected. Each meteorite was intercepted in mid-air by a tiny red light and vanished in an instant, but that red light remained the same, easily moving through the clouds.

The sky returned to its usual color once again, and the red light followed and landed on LAN's shoulder, and it turned out to be a little bird as red as a flame.

The little bird looked like an ordinary bird, except that it had an extra long plume on its head and tail. The most noticeable thing was the long plume on its tail, just like the tail plume of the phoenix in legend, except that the phoenix had three, while this little bird had only one, and it was much smaller.

The gatekeeper's gaze also fell on the little bird, but merely crossed the bird's black eyes, and a look of terror immediately appeared in his eyes, and his arrogance quickly subsided.

Seemingly dissatisfied with the gatekeeper's attitude, the flame-like bird called out to the gatekeeper, a loud and gentle phoenix cry.

With a "puff", the hell gatekeeper turned into a wisp of smoke and vanished.

Anita Talia's gaze never left the mysterious little bird. She had a feeling that the bird's cry towards the Hellkeeper just now seemed to carry a hint of absolute threat, but when her thoughts turned around and came back, she found that the bird's black pupils were staring at her, and the message conveyed was also a hint of threat and warning.

Anita took a step back in terror. She saw a flash of disdain and pride in the bird's black pupil, and a cheerful cry, which turned into a red light that flashed into the right arm of the waves.

LAN smiled and reached out his hand to her, "Don't be afraid. That guy always likes to bully people."

"What is that?" "Simon Xia asked, his gaze fixed on LAN's right arm, through which he could see nothing.

"My patron saint." LAN replied with a smile.

Anne had come closer, and it seemed that she could only feel at ease by LAN's side, and she was very tired of having prepared two of the most advanced divine arts in a row.

Simon Xia sensed that LAN did not want to talk about it, so he touched his nose and did not ask any more questions. Anyway, if he wanted to know, there would be plenty of opportunities to ask privately.

The monsters around had completely receded, and even the red-tailed vulture was gone, as if warned by some mysterious force that this place had become the territory of that force.
