Chapter 25 - golem

After their first execution in the kingdom of KIREZO was a success and their symbol had been placed at the scene, they left as the dawn wind blew and pierced their thin skin.

"Hey kid, can you make a flying machine?" asked Venus.

"A flying machine?"

"That'd be great, so we don't have to walk everywhere!" said Dina.

"But that's hard to make," said Gamma.

"Hm... Making something that can fly isn't difficult, but the problem is whether it can carry all of us or not," Arya explained.

"I see..." Everyone looked disappointed.

"But I'll try slowly."

"Where's our next destination, Ar?" asked Dina.

"To the east. They say the city is called IARES, and like TYUIA city, they're also actively capturing children."

"We're going to destroy all of them, right, big bro?" asked Gamma.

"Of course! I don't want more people to suffer!" Arya said while patting Gamma's head.

Gamma's cheeks turned red.

"So how many days is the journey?" asked Venus.

"Hm... The townspeople said around four days."

"Oh yeah! What if we make an automatic vehicle that runs on land?" said Arya.

"Huh?!" they all shouted.

"Can you make that, Ar?" asked Dina.

"I think I can try to make a vehicle out of golem. But yeah, it can't fly."

"Make it, please! I'm tired of walking!" said Venus.

"Make it, big bro!" Gamma said excitedly.

"Alright, I'll make it. You guys rest for now."

The three of them rested in the forest as the sun began to rise, while Arya started building the vehicle. The time Arya spent building the vehicle, which resembled a car but without an engine, took about a day and a half because he kept failing and retrying.

"Haaa haaa... Finally!" said Arya.

"Woah! But will this one actually work, unlike the last ones?" asked Dina excitedly.

"It will! Just trust me!"

"Cool!" said Gamma.

"Hooo..." Venus looked intrigued.

"Come on, try getting in first, this fits everyone."

"Alright!"

"But... why is the interior so big, Ar? From the outside it just looks like an ordinary box," Dina asked curiously.

"Yeah, it's so spacious, like a house," said Gamma.

"So we can lie down in here too?" asked Venus.

"I added Spatial Magic as well. It was exhausting because I kept failing. And it can be operated by anyone as long as they channel magic into it," Arya explained.

"So we can use it too?" Dina said eagerly.

"Yes, alright, I'll show you how to use it," said Arya. "First, channel your magic into the steering wheel here and then just say your destination, like 'Go north' and it'll move on its own. Even if there's a turn, it'll turn by itself." Arya explained.

"Woooo! So cool! It moves on its own! Unlike horse-drawn carriages that shake a lot, this doesn't shake at all!" Dina was amazed.

"Right?! You're allowed to praise me, you know!"

"You're amazing, big bro! You're a genius!" Gamma praised.

"Hahaha! Keep praising your big brother, Gamma! I really am the best in the world! Hahaha!" he said proudly.

"Amazing, kid!" praised Venus. "But... how much time can it save?" Venus asked.

"Hahaha!" Proud. "Good question, Venus. This can save ¾ of the travel time. For example, if the journey takes 4 days, we'll arrive in just 1 day," Arya said.

"Amazing! Only 1 day of travel? And we can lie down too?!" said Dina as she sprawled out.

"Hahaha!"

"Honestly, you're straying further from the definition of a human," Gamma said flatly.

"Even if you praise me like that, you won't get anything, Gamma! Kuhahaha!"

"Incredible," Venus thought to herself.

And so their journey continued and they reached the destination city in just one day.

"Alright, we're close to the city, it's better to stop here so we're not seen by too many people," said Arya as he stepped out of the vehicle.

"Alright," they all got out.

"Hooaaam! Good morning. I'm still sleepy!" said Dina with a sleepy face.

"Good morning, Reisa-chan," said Venus with a seductive tone, still looking like she just woke up.

"Good morning, All!"

"Why are you all acting so lazy?" Arya asked with a disappointed face.

"With a journey this comfortable, who wouldn't be lazy? Lying down while snacking... it's like we're on vacation," said Dina.

"Should we stop using this then, so we don't get lazy?" Arya asked seriously.

"What?! No way! We have to use this vehicle forever!" the three of them shouted.

"Even you, Gamma? Haaa... Alright, let's head to the city."

"But before that, you guys should take a bath to freshen up. Here, take some soap and toothbrushes."

"Earth Craft!" Arya created a bathhouse with Earth magic.

"Venus, you're a water magic expert, right? Can you fill it with warm water?"

"Of course, leave it to me! Water Warm!" Warm water flowed.

"Alright, you guys go take a bath. I'm heading to the city first, call me when you're done," Arya said as he walked away.

"Okay, big bro! Be careful!" said Gamma.

"Come on, let's go in Gamma!" said Dina, pulling Gamma's hand.

"What?! You're going to bathe too, Dina? This bath is for me and Reisa-chan!" Venus said irritably.

"What?! Who do you think you are? I'll bathe with whoever I want!"

"You're so annoying!"

"Enough, big bro. Let's all bathe together," Gamma said, pulling both of them.

"Let's go, Reisa-chan," said Venus flirtatiously.

"Let's go, Gamma," said Dina softly.

They both smiled sweetly at Gamma, but their sharp glares clashed like two lionesses ready to claw each other.

The morning sun began to pierce through the leaves, shining down on the large box-like vehicle now parked at the forest's edge. The scent of dew mixed with the smell of soap from the newly made bath.

"Huuu, so refreshing!" Venus sighed.

"Yeah, big bro! After such a comfy journey, bathing together is the best!" said Gamma.

"But he didn't leave any food here, huh," said Dina.

"You can't eat in the bath, big bro!"

"Hahaha, alright then!"

"But... who is Arya really? You're his childhood friend, right, Dina?" asked Venus.

"Yes, I'm his childhood friend, but four years ago Arya suddenly started acting like an adult."

"Acting like an adult?"

"Yeah, he built an abandoned village using magic. Even though we'd never learned magic before. He built farms even though the village didn't have any smart people, built clean water systems. And so many other things like a real adult."

"Haha! Men can suddenly grow up because of circumstances, huh!"

"Big bro Arya is really amazing!"

They continued bathing for 15 minutes.

"Come on, Gamma, don't take too long," said Dina.

"Okay, big sis."

"Huuu, that was refreshing!" said Venus. "But what about the bath? We're just gonna leave it?"

"I'll contact Arya first."

"Ar, we're done. Come quickly," said Dina.

"Alright." Arya closed the call. "Teleportation!" Arya warped back to the previous forest.

"So what about the bath, Ar?"

"It can be destroyed. There's nothing left behind inside, right?"

"No, big bro! We've taken all our stuff."

"Alright. Earth Cancel!" The bath crumbled and leveled with the ground. "Earth Vacuum!" The water was absorbed into the earth without leaving a single trace.

"Amazing!"

"Let's go," said Arya. "Walk or teleport? You should move your body a bit by walking."

"Let's walk, big bro!"

They walked toward the city.

"So, what did you find in the city, Ar?" asked Dina.

"Just like the previous city, I didn't see a single child."

"It's the same situation, huh," Venus said softly.

"I'll look for the hidden room again, okay big bro?" asked Gamma.

"Yes, I'll leave it to you, Gamma."

"Yes! Just leave it to me!"

They arrived in the city of IARES. The city looked normal smells of food and tea mixed in the air, people sat at food stalls, the market was bustling. But not a single child was in sight...
