Chapter 18 - The Fall of Blackhorn

Smoke swirled through the shattered landscape like the last breath of a dying world.

Dong slowly turned his head, his long black hair drifting in the burning wind as his eyes

cold, lifeless, hollow

scanned the destruction he himself had created.

Corpses. Ash. Scorch marks twisted into the earth like ancient scars.

The air trembled where the Dimension of Fire had split reality.

Dong stood alone in the center of it all.

His voice escaped his lips as a faint whisper, almost swallowed by the wind.

"Was this worth it…?"

For the first time, there was no rage in his tone.

No fury.

Just a quiet emptiness.

He placed a hand over his chest.

"I feel lighter… but my heart is still heavy."

A long silence followed.

Only the crackling flames answered him.

Then like puzzle pieces falling into place Dong's expression changed.

He understood.

"I'm carrying thousands of dead souls… that's why it's heavy."

His voice deepened, emotionless yet profound.

As if he was speaking to himself… and to the dead watching him.

But then he remembered their crimes.

And the weight on his chest loosened.

"But my mind tells me the truth…"

He looked down at his hand steady, unwavering.

"…all of them had killed thousands of humans long before I killed them."

His gaze fell upon the owner's severed head lying quietly in the dust.

Dong crouched beside it.

Not with respect.

Not with pity.

But with acknowledgment.

"Don't worry."

His voice was cold, but something warm flickered beneath it.

"I will take revenge for you… on those people who ruined your life."

The flames dimmed, as though listening.

Dong's eyes narrowed.

He remembered the visions flashes of forbidden memories invading his mind the moment he killed the executives.

"The monster attack at your northern base…"

His voice grew sharper.

"…wasn't a coincidence."

He slowly stood up, eyes glowing dark purple.

"The Blackhorn executives made a deal with that human wolf symbol alliance."

Images flickered in his mind

contracts signed in darkness,

monsters unleashed like living weapons,

the base being torn apart.

"They were the ones who ordered the monsters to attack."

He took a step forward, flames coiling around his feet like dragons awakening.

"I know everything…"

His lips curled into a cold smile.

"…because I saw the memories of the dead."

The wind howled as his power surged once more.

"It's a rare skill…"

Dong closed his eyes, letting the world tremble around him.

The corpses around him seemed to bow in fear even in death.

Dong opened his eyes

and the world looked smaller

before him.

"Your enemies will fall."

He whispered to the dead owner.

"Your story won't end in betrayal."

And with that, Dong walked deeper into the burning ruins,

carrying thousands of souls,

yet Feeling Lighter

than ever before.

The dark clouds gathered above the shattered Blackhorn grounds, swirling like a storm responding to Dong's presence.

Cold wind brushed past the broken corpses frozen in meteor ice.

Dong stood at the center of destruction… his eyes lifeless, yet burning with something far deeper.

He slowly lifted his head toward the pitch-black sky.

Dong (quiet, heavy):

"I will rule this world… and I will change it."

But then, something darker crossed his mind.

That wolf-shaped symbol carved on the bodies of Blackhorn executives…

That wasn't their real emblem.

Dong clenched his fists so tightly that veins surfaced across his arms.

Dong:

"That wolf symbol… it's only their branch."

"Their real name is the Satan Devotees Alliance."

The sky rumbled as if the world itself recognized the name.

Dong:

"One of the strongest underground alliances in the entire black market."

His voice became deeper.

Dong:

"Hellfire Illusion Technique… isn't just any forbidden art."

Dong's eyes glowed dark purple mixed with crimson flames.

Dong:

"It is one of the top divine skills belonging to Satan themselves."

The weight of that truth settled like a curse across the battlefield.

A single boy… wielding a skill that belonged to the abyssal overlords of the underground.

Dong's fingers slowly curled until his entire arm trembled with rage.

Dong:

"Satan Devotees…"

He exhaled sharply, breath turning into mist from killing intent alone.

Dong:

"I will destroy every single one of you."

Lightning cracked behind him, illuminating his silhouette on top of the mountain of corpses.

A boy who had slaughtered a guild alone.

A child who held divine hellfire.

A being who declared war on the strongest black-market alliance.

And the world trembled…

for Dong's path of destruction had only begun.

The night was silent again.

Too silent.

Dong slowly walked back to his room, each step echoing through the empty mansion he had taken over.

His face was blank… emotionless… as if the massacre still replayed behind his eyes.

Inside the dimly lit room, he lifted his right arm.

Without hesitation

CRACK!

Dong twisted his wrist and snapped one of his hand bones back into place.

Agony shot through his nerves, but he didn't even blink.

Dong (calmly whispering):

"I need pain… or I won't feel alive."

He wrapped his hand with healing cloth and used a weak regeneration technique.

Enough to stop the bleeding.

Not enough to erase the pain.

He wanted the pain to stay.

He sat on the corner of the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling until the darkness faded into dawn.

---

Morning – Entire Kingdom in Chaos

As the first sunlight reached the kingdom, whispers turned into panic.

Those whispers became screams.

Those screams became news that spread like wildfire.

"Blackhorn Guild has vanished!"

"Their entire continent headquarters… destroyed!"

"Thousands dead!"

"No survivors except ruins and ice meteors!"

Within minutes, the rumor solidified into undeniable reality.

Every adventurer.

Every noble.

Every black-market dealer.

Every assassin group.

All of them trembled when they heard the truth.

---

Inside his room, Dong raised an eyebrow.

Dong:

"That was faster than I expected."

He thought Blackhorn's secret party location, hidden behind Black Mountain, would delay discovery for weeks.

But the destruction he caused…

The frozen meteor craters…

The flames that never stopped burning…

The screams and broken bodies…

It was impossible to hide.

Dong (quiet):

"So the world knows…"

He tightened his half-healed hand, the pain grounding him.

Dong:

"Good. Let them fear."

THE NEXT DAY THE WORLD TREMBLES

Scene 1 The Continental Adventurer Union (CAU Headquarters, East Continent)

A massive round table.

Twenty SSS-rank guild masters sit in silence.

A holographic image of Blackhorn's annihilated territory floats in the air ice meteors, shattered land, bodies frozen mid-scream.

The Head Commander slams the table.

Commander:

"Who… who has the power to erase a Top-10 Assassin Guild overnight?!"

Guild Master #4 (trembling):

"Blackhorn has over 40 SS rank and multiple SSS ranks. I refuse to believe they fell to a single person."

Guild Master #7:

"Look at the destruction! No army marched there. It was an instant wipeout."

Commander:

"Investigate every anomaly in the last month.

A monster?

A forbidden spell?

A new demon class?

I want answers!"

The room shakes as the decision spreads across the continent.

---

Scene 2 Holy Sword Empire (High Noble Meeting)

The Emperor sits on a golden throne, eight dukes kneeling.

A servant delivers a scroll.

Servant:

"Your Majesty… Blackhorn Guild has been… wiped out."

The Emperor's eyes widen.

Emperor:

"Impossible. They were vile criminals, yes… but powerful ones. Who could erase them so completely?"

Duke Rowen:

"There is something strange, Your Majesty."

Emperor:

"Speak."

Duke Rowen:

"There are no flames, no weapon marks, no footprints…

Just a landscape shaped by magic beyond our classification."

The Emperor grips his throne.

Emperor (low voice):

"A new powerhouse has emerged…

and they are not afraid of blood."

---

Scene 3 The Underworld Council (Top 5 Blackmarket Leaders)

A dark underground chamber. Black candles. Masks. Shadows.

The council gathers.

Leader of the Crimson Fang:

"Blackhorn… gone. Their entire upper chain, erased."

Poison Matron:

"We should celebrate. Less competition."

Shadow Lord:

"You fool. Can't you see?

Something that kills Blackhorn so easily…

can kill us just as easily."

They all go silent.

Shadow Lord:

"Find the culprit. Immediately."

---

Scene 4 The Northern Magic Academy (Top Students' Gossip)

Teenagers whisper across the courtyard.

Student 1:

"Did you hear!? One of the strongest assassin guilds vanished!"

Student 2:

"How? Who?"

Student 3:

"My professor said… maybe a God-tier mage."

Student 1:

"No way! If a god acted, we'd feel the pressure."

Student 3:

"Then what kind of monster did this…?"

They all shiver.

---

Scene 5 The Satan Devotees Alliance (Unknown Location)

A long dark corridor.

Black candles burn with red flames.

A demonic sigil glows on the ground.

A hooded figure kneels.

Hooded Member:

"Elder… Blackhorn has fallen."

The elder's voice echoes like ten souls speaking at once.

Elder of Satan Devotees:

"Blackhorn was our obedient dog…

yet someone stepped on our property."

The ground cracks from the elder's aura.

Elder:

"Find… the one responsible.

Bring me their soul."

The flames turn pitch black.

---

Scene 6 Back to Dong

Dong sits on his bed, expression blank, looking at his half-healed hand.

Dong (quiet):

"Let the world shake.

I don't care."

But deep inside…

He feels it.

A storm is slowly forming around him.
