Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

"Lin Changqiang wins!"

"Boom! Congratulations to the host! Side Quest One has been completed. Reward: Glory Announcement—The Road of Tyranny."

Although the outcome had already been determined, deafening applause erupted from the arena. After all, this battle had truly opened their eyes.

Xie Yingying, standing on the sidelines, gazed with a flustered expression at the utterly distraught Lei Li, who collapsed to the ground. After a moment's hesitation, she waved her hand and summoned two younger members of the Xie family to carry Lei Li back to the stands.

"You actually defeated Lei Li! You're incredibly strong!" Wu Yun rushed to Lin Changqiang's side in surprise. Even though he had anticipated this, he was still overwhelmed with emotion upon witnessing it. Lin Dong followed closely behind, smiling, "Changqiang, well done."

"Need I say that?" Lin Changqiang stretched, playfully taking the cub from Lin Dong's arms. Without looking back, he walked towards the audience. "I'm exhausted. I won't be participating in the next round. Lin Dong, the task of reclaiming the championship is up to you."

Under Lin Dong's helpless gaze, Lin Changqiang carried the cub and left, heading straight back to the Lin family's seats. Seeing him return, everyone in the Lin family, even Lin Zhentian, quickly stood up and surrounded him as if protecting a treasure.

"Changqiang, get some rest. The next round will be up to Lin Dong." After pressing Lin Changqiang into his chair, Lin Zhentian patted his shoulder and smiled with concern.

Surrounded by so many relatives for the first time, Lin Changqiang felt unusually reserved, but he quickly nodded with a wry smile. Lin Hong and the others nearby also gathered around, curiously examining the cub in his arms.

"Old man Lei, thank you very much for your gift this time. I hope the handover of Tiemu Manor can be completed as soon as possible. I have always trusted the reputation of the Lei family. You will not let me down, will you?" Lin Zhentian turned his head and looked in the direction of the Lei family with a smile.

"Hmph!" Hearing Lin Zhentian's laughter, Lei Bao's old face turned ashen. He stood up with a gloomy look in his eyes, glanced at Lei Li who was carried back, and the corners of his mouth could not help twitching a few times. "

Let's go!" The gazes from the surroundings made Lei Bao feel uneasy. He glared at Lin Changqiang fiercely, then turned around and walked out of the beast horn field. Seeing this, the other people from the Lei and Xie families had no choice but to follow. This time, they just realized what it meant to lose both the wife and the army.

"Congratulations, Old Man Lin." The men from the Mad Blade Martial Arts School, led by Luo Cheng, approached. He bowed to Lin Zhentian, his gaze fixed on Lin Changqiang behind him in amazement, his voice filled with envy: "The Lin family's greatest treasure is to have Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong."

Upon hearing this, Lin Zhentian beamed, stroked his beard, and began chatting with Luo Cheng.

Although the hunt wasn't over yet, everyone knew the championship was already secured for the Lin family.

  ...

With the hunting competition concluded, Qingyang Town returned to its former tranquility.

In the early morning, on the misty mountain behind the Lin family, Lin Changqiang, holding a claret flower in his mouth, basked in the sun like a salted fish.

In a nearby open space, three human-shaped wooden stakes stood in a row. In front of them, Lin Dong's eyes fixed, and he pressed his index and middle fingers together, tapping one of them with lightning speed.

  "Bang!"

Brilliant Yuanli burst out from his fingertips, and immediately afterwards, the extremely hard wooden stake was instantly blown into a ball of sawdust!

  "Bang! Bang!"

Two more sounds were heard, and the wooden stakes on the left and right also cracked, and sawdust flew out and scattered all over the ground.

"Huh..." Lin Dong calmed down the Yuanli in his body and let out a long breath.

"Awesome, awesome~" Hearing the explosion, Lin Changqiang turned his head to look at Lin Dong and clapped his hands very perfunctorily, "You are worthy of being my brother, Lin Changqiang, you are truly a martial arts genius!" After saying that, he yawned.

"If you are bored, you can spar with me for a while." Lin Dong rolled his eyes in annoyance, and when he saw the other party silently turned his back, he gave up.

"Perhaps, this is what genius is." Lin Dong looked at Lin Changqiang with envy. For the month since the hunt, he'd been diligently training every day, sparring, familiarizing himself with martial arts, practicing techniques, and absorbing Yin Sha Qi. Of the twelve hours a day, he'd spent almost eleven practicing.

Yet, even so, he'd only just now fully mastered the fourth-grade Pure Yuan Finger, and his cultivation was still at the early stages of the Earth Yuan Realm. But what about Lin Changqiang?

Every day, he'd either lie there, sunbathing while enjoying his own practice, or retreat into the back mountains to admire the flowers and fish, falsely claiming to be searching for elixirs. He'd spent less than two hours a day practicing and sparring.

Yet, even such a person, Lin Changqiang, had already mastered the Pure Yuan Finger to perfection! Even more frustrating for Lin Dong was that Lin Changqiang's cultivation was approaching the late Earth Yuan Realm. He sometimes wondered if he'd been practicing while lying in the sun.

"If it weren't for the stone talisman, I might never have caught up with Changqiang." Lin Dong shook his head and whistled into the forest.

As the whistle faded, a fiery red figure darted out of the forest and flung itself into Lin Dong's arms. That fiery red figure was a small, corgi-sized

tiger cub. Its entire body was a fiery red, resembling a blazing flame, a delightful sight. However, the python tail coiled around its back added a touch of mystery. Of course, as Lin Changqiang would say, it was simply adorable.

This little tiger was the fire python tiger cub Lin Dong had chosen a month earlier, named Xiao Yan. After this period of nurturing, Xiao Yan's growth had been astonishing. According to their speculation, it was now comparable to the fifth level of the Body Tempering Realm.

Xiao Yan lay affectionately in Lin Dong's arms, nodding his head. When he opened his eyes, the first person he saw was Lin Dong, followed by Lin Changqiang. After a month, Xiao Yan had come to regard Lin Dong and Lin Changqiang as his closest relatives. Of course, if the two were present at the same time, he would always be closer to Lin Dong, after all, it was Lin Dong who usually fed him.

Just as Lin Dong was feeding Xiao Yan the Ancestral Stone Spiritual Liquid, a pair of evil hands sneaked up on the little tiger, grabbed it, and began to rub it, making Xiao Yan snore in comfort.

After feeding Xiao Yan, Lin Dong grabbed it and placed it on his shoulder. He and Lin Changqiang exchanged a glance, and the two nodded. Together, they went into the grove and began to absorb today's share of Yin Sha Qi.
