Chapter 6 - Chapter 5.

"Hey Kiddo, it's time to wake up." Her pleasant voice came to me like a nice music I never got tired of hearing. I pretended not to hear just to hear her speak again. "You're gonna be late if you don't get up kiddo. Someone might beat you to the bathroom."

I heard her footsteps moving towards the window and I tiredly sat up. I put on my glasses just in time to find her lighting up a cigarette by the window.

"Good morning," I chipped with the most biggest smile I could muster.

She looks sort of surprised at my enthusiastic tone, but she cleared her throat and faced the window without replying as she began smoking without care.

"What time is it?" I asked as I stretched out my stiff limps.

"It still amazed me that you always ask me that question knowing there's no answer to that. How many times will I tell you that neither of us have an equipment for telling the time." She reminded sounding slightly annoyed.

I looked down in guilt and mumbled. "Sorry," I guess I was sort of used to it already, and I've always wanted to do that, just to he certain that I really have someone with me now.

"Whatever, just go get ready for school kiddo. I still need to get to work early today."

I resisted the urge to watch her smoking her cigarette. Even though I hated the smell, I would have to admit that she looks so hot doing it.

As I picked up my towel, I asked her, "why do you call me kiddo? You don't seem that much older than me."

That's actually my lame attempt to ask her of her age. She looks quite young. Maybe a year or two older than me, but I am completely certain that she isn't more than twenty.

She stared at me and I watched her blew out smoke before speaking, "the fact that I am older is enough for me to see you as a kid. Even if it's by a year, you're a kid to me."

"Wouldn't it be better to call me by my name? It's Gianna." I offered just in case she wasn't aware.

She rolled her eyes and looked back out the window. "I know, I just don't want to."

I pouted in disappointment. Now she knows my name and I still don't know hers, and she refuses to call me by my name even when I offered she should.

Is she that determined not to get attached to me?

Maybe she's just really ashamed of getting involved with someone like me.

I sighed sadly. "Okay," I mumbled and trudged towards the direction of the bathroom.

Maybe she doesn't like me, and maybe all she does for me is out of pity, but I don't care. No one ever cared enough to pity me, and even though I'm not really happy that what she feels might be pity, I will work towards changing that feeling of hers to something else.

I'm going to get through that cold exterior of hers.

As I dressed up for school after a bath, Teddy returned from the bathroom and I tried not to ogle at her smooth naked legs and mouthwatering tattoos.

She's so hot!

When turned around and caught me staring, and she raised a brow at me. I quickly looked away blushing in embarrassment.

"Do you need something?" She asked.

My blush deepened, and I looked around for an answer. Thankfully, I found her jacket neatly folded on my mat beside my pile of books.

"Um, not really. I just wanted to hand you your jacket." I quickly crouched down and picked it up, then I stretched it out to her with my head still lowered. "T- Thanks for yesterday."

She didn't take it, and when I lifted my head to stare at her, my eye caught sight of her cleavage. The towel was hanging dangerously low around her chest, and I blushed and dipped my head lower.

"Keep it," she said. "It gets really cold sometimes. Take it to school with you. You might need it."

My heart tingled and I stared up into her cold grey eyes. She was looking back at me with a stern expression as if warning me to refuse.

Why should I? The jacket is so warm and it smelt like her. I would keep it forever.

I grinned widely and hugged it to my chest. "Thanks so much Teddy. I'll protect it with my life."

She scoffed and returned to dressing up. "It's just a jacket. No need to make a big deal out of it."

She was wrong though. It's not just a jacket to me. All she has done for me through this past months, I would treasure it for all eternity. I will never forget the woman who made me feel like I was also human.

"I... I'm leaving now. I'll see you in the evening." I offered one last smile and turned towards the door.

"Hey, have some money for lunch before you leave." She stretched out some dollar bills to me.

I looked down at it in surprise, "but you gave me more than enough yesterday. I still have enough change with me."

She rolled her eyes as if annoyed, "I know you still have some change with you. Use that to get breakfast, use this for lunch." She took my hand from my side and pushed the money into it. "Eat something nice, and stay away from those pricks I met yesterday!"

Her kindness brought happy tears to my eyes. I sniffed trying my best to hold in my tears. "Thank you so much Teddy."

She rolled her eyes again and turned away from me to pick up her today's cloth from her mat. "Go on ahead. Stop looking at me like I gave you the world. It's just a few dollars."

The world cannot be compared to what she gave me. Who wants a world that's filled with so much pain, suffering and cruelty when I can have even just one person do something nice for me.

She is my world now. The one person my heart could not stop beating for.

She made me feel alive, she gave me hope of a better future. Seeing how people treat me through all my years of living made me lose hope in humanity, but she reminds me that good people are still somewhere out there.

When I first met Teddy, I thought she was someone mean and cold. Cruel even. Her smoking habit and hot tattoos didn't help in painting a good picture of her. Turns out she was indeed cold, but Teddy was never mean. She had never smiled at me or anyone else even for one day, but compare to all those cruel people who offers you fake smile all day just to stab you in the back later, Teddy is a blessing.

This time, I wasn't able to contain the tears. "Thank you Teddy."

She groaned when she heard me sniff. She kept her back turned. "Don't be a baby and just leave already. You don't want to be late for school."

I nodded and wiped my tears away, my big smile was back on. "Alright, I'll see you later!"

As always I waved goodbye, but she didn't return it.

****

School was normal today, a bit too normal and it was making me anxious.

I haven't caught sight of anyone of my bullies today. It's quite strange because they usually wait at the door for me to come to school just to carry out another of their cruel pranks. Its strange that they were no where in sight.

I didn't even see Ken in math class. Did something happen?

Their absence didn't stop me from watching my back though. I don't know when one of them might pounce on me from nowhere.

I was on my way to the cafeteria after lunch, keeping my head down as usual when an arm was suddenly thrown over my shoulder.

"Hey ugly, do you miss us?" I felt someone else on my other side, and I instantly knew that I was in the middle of two of my bullies. Caleb and Ken. Caleb is the one who had his arm thrown over my shoulder, and Ken's arms were in his pocket as he walked at my other side.

I didn't dare look at them. It took them long enough to attack me anyways. I just hope they do whatever they want to do fast and let me go.

"I'm afriad you'll have to skip lunch today and come with us." Caleb cooed at me like he was talking to a baby.

"Do you even need to tell her shit!" He glared down at me, "come with us to the roof top. We don't have all day." He walked ahead of us and called out to Caleb. "Make sure she comes along."

"Hey why are you leaving me alone with her?!" Caleb yelled with an annoying pout.

"It sickens me to walk beside her." He answered without looking back.

Caleb groaned angrily. "Arrogant prick! Who does he think he is to act like the boss!" He mumbled underneath his breath before shooting me a nasty glare, "now come along freak. What's done has to be done fast."

Without question, I let him pull me along to wherever knowing fully well that I was going to get hurt. But I reminded myself.

You just have to endure Gianna.

Teddy's face flashed in my mind, and instant courage took over me.

A small smile lit up my face.

Just endure Gianna. Every thing will get better soon.

DEADLY REVENGE.
