At this moment, the Senju siblings stood outside the Uchiha Casino. No need to think twice—you already know what our "great philanthropist" was planning.
"This casino really is luxurious!" Nawaki exclaimed, nearly blinded by the dazzling golden structure.
The entire building resembled a giant torch. The entrance, shaped like an open tiger's mouth, gave the whole place a birdcage-like appearance, with numerous blade-shaped decorations lining its exterior.
"The Uchiha clan sure has money. Now *this* gets me in the gambling mood!" Tsunade grabbed Nawaki's hand and pulled him inside. The moment she stepped in, she found herself once again dazzled by the extravagant interior.
"Why are there so many lights on during the daytime?" they both wondered aloud.
Indeed, this casino was designed by our young prodigy, Shen. The centerpiece of the interior was a massive egg-shaped sculpture. Bright spotlights beamed down, casting patterns resembling coins across the room. The ceiling featured a grand painting of a pirate ship, while the carpet design mimicked a spiderweb. Readers familiar with Macau will instantly recognize where this design came from. As for all the hidden meanings within—well, we suggest readers look them up yourselves, because if the author-ling wrote them all out here, he'd get scolded for churning out filler content.
Tsunade stared excitedly at the various gambling tables filled with different games.
"Would either of you like something to drink or eat?"
A staff member dressed in black approached the pair and politely asked.
Nawaki, always suspicious, immediately raised his guard. "You mean they're giving out free food and drinks? Don't tell me there's no trap here. That just doesn't sound like the Uchiha."
The employee smiled as she replied, "These are completely complimentary, madam. And should you feel tired, we also have hotel accommodations available right next door. Plus, the entertainment facilities upstairs are open to all guests as well. Our Young Master specifically emphasized that every guest deserves the finest service possible."
"Haha! This *is* paradise!" Tsunade laughed, hands on her hips.
"Sister, I'm gonna bankrupt the Uchiha!" A sly grin spread across Nawaki's face.
The casino staff remained unfazed, recalling their training guidelines in her mind:
Rule One: Make every guest feel at home.
Rule Two: Serve with utmost hospitality; fulfill every guest's needs.
Rule Three: Never turn off the lights—keep guests fully alert.
Rule Four:
And most importantly—never let that mark escape!
"These must be the 'marks' our Young Master warned us about. Time to start reeling them in!"
The Senju siblings suddenly felt a chill run down their spines.
"Why is it so cold in your casino?" Tsunade asked curiously.
With a smile, the staff member replied, "Respected guests, our Young Master believes cooler temperatures help maintain a clear head."
"Oh! Didn't expect that kind of thoughtful consideration," both siblings responded naively, clearly missing the hidden implication.
"Please, take your seats."
"Thank you very much."
After seating them at a table, the staff member slipped a quiet signal to the dealer before leaving.
Right. Keep calm, huh? More like they want to freeze your brains out so you never fall asleep—just keep betting. Don't be fooled into thinking this casino's generosity comes from kindness.
You're overthinking. They'd love it if you never came out at all. Plus, every single odds in the casino are specially calculated. Even if you win for a day or two, do you really think you can keep winning forever? And those bright lights inside will blur day and night for you. Some people don't realize how many days they've been there until they've gambled away their entire fortune. Like they always say: It's a sure bet gamblers lose. You'd be better off working than wasting your time here!
Following instructions, members of the Akimichi clan arrived at the food district on Commercial Street.
"What's a fried chicken burger? And what exactly is spicy hotpot?" The chubby Heiji stared dumbly at the dazzling variety of shops when suddenly a loud shout snapped him out of his daze.
"Uchiha Hotpot Grand Opening Special Offer! Get a free meal by ordering the Devil Hell Spicy Broth and finishing everything you ordered!"
"Heiji, let's go there."
"Alright, Father!"
Thus, the village's most voracious eaters marched rowdily into the hotpot restaurant. The owner warmly welcomed them while smirking inwardly.
So naive. Being able to eat doesn't mean they can handle spiciness. That broth was so spicy even the Uchiha genius dared not touch it.
"Boss! One serving of every item on the menu per person!" The Akimichi clan head and Heiji's father boldly placed the order with a wave of his hand.
"Father, won't Choza eat too little this way?" Heiji asked while holding up a three-year-old child.
"No problem. Your little brother needs to eat more meat to grow up strong." Heiji's father shrugged unconcerned.
"I'm fine, Onii-san Heiji," Choza declared cutely, expressing his great love for eating.
Observing Choza's enthusiasm for food at only three years old, Heiji's father exclaimed proudly, "Good! Truly an Akimichi man!"
Shortly afterward, the restaurant staff brought five large pots filled with blood-red broth and placed them before the Akimichi guests. Its roiling surface sent involuntary chills down their spines.
Heiji stared at the broth, visibly uneasy. "So this... this really is the Devil Hell Spicy Broth?"
"Alright everyone, let's start eating!"
At his father's words, the Akimichi clan members poured the food from their plates into the hotpots enthusiastically. Their hearty manner made the smile on the shop owner's face even broader.
"Water! Water!" choked out an Akimichi member after gulping down half-cooked food.
"Is it really that spicy?" Heiji's father scoffed as he put a piece of beef into his mouth. The next second, his expression changed drastically. "It's killing me!"
Heiji's chopsticks shook violently in his hand. The piece of meat he had just picked up slipped right back into the pot out of sheer terror. Right now, he just wanted to leave immediately. After all, even his father, the biggest eater in the entire clan, found it too spicy. He didn't think himself capable of enduring it.
"Everyone, this broth was personally blended by our second young master. It's definitely made entirely from chili peppers. Absolutely non-toxic and safe to eat." Worried these Akimichi guests might stop eating, the owner quickly reassured them promptly. "Also, please take your time with the meal since all dishes have been served."
The Akimichi clan members stared at the seething crimson hotpot broth before them, shivering involuntarily. They all felt that the person who named this dish was truly a genius—eating this meal might literally send them to hell.
Heiji's father, the clan chief, waved his hand frantically after gulping down two glasses of water, panting, "Don't… don't stop! Keep going!"
"Father, this really is broth from hell! This is way too much!"
"The Akimichi clan must never waste food carelessly! Heiji, this is our family's ancestral teaching!"
Heiji immediately swallowed back his protest upon hearing his father's words. With trembling hands, he picked up a slice of meat and popped it into his mouth. "Father, I've swallowed it!" With tears streaming down his face, he grabbed his glass and chugged the entire drink after swallowing the meat.
Seeing that even the young master had started eating, everyone else followed suit, swallowing their food with eyes brimming with tears. At that moment, on the very brink of hell, they each silently vowed that once today was over, they'd never again touch this soul-crushing hotpot.
