Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: The Stone Tablet Inside Naka Shrine

At noon, three days later, inside the newly opened Uchiha News Agency located on the commercial street.

"Extra, extra! The Uchiha's Second Young Master is actually serializing such an amazing novel in the newspaper!"

"Buy a copy of the Shinobi World Daily—you'll not only enjoy brand-new stories but also stay updated with the latest happenings in the ninja world!"

"Just 688 yen for our annual membership card during this grand opening celebration—688 and you won't regret it, you won't be taken for a ride! Plus, get a free copy of Jiraiya, the Third Hokage's legendary disciple, latest novel! This is one of the must-read series for every man in Konoha Year 26!"

Two loudspeakers placed outside the agency continuously looped these promotional messages.

Meanwhile, our beloved Uchiha genius stood inside the office, smiling brightly as customer after customer lined up to purchase annual memberships.

"I didn't expect Pervy Sage's novels to be such a hit. Guess he really is the real deal after all!" A grinning Shen couldn't help but imagine how much his personal treasure stash was about to grow.

After all, the four family members evenly split the shares, each owning five percent.

"Clever of me to show the old man *Temptation of a Good Wife* first. Otherwise, with his usual skinflint attitude, he wouldn't have handed over a dime!"

"Yeah… why did I give each person only five percent back then?"

"Old man's easy to fool, duh! Originally I thought getting one percent would already require burning incense and worshipping Buddha." As Shen was speaking, he suddenly sensed something off. He turned sideways and saw Kazushi smiling sweetly while staring at him.

"You really think I'm that gullible, huh?"

"No way! Old man, you're hallucinating!"

Kazushi chuckled even more delightedly. "You really think I'm that easy to trick, don't you?"

"Old man, you're perfectly timed! The newspaper agency is now yours to manage. I've got class this afternoon at the Ninja Academy!"

"…"

Kazushi stared at the quickly vanishing figure, filled with regret. He had merely come to check how things were going, yet somehow ended up being left behind with this bustling agency to handle alone.

"You little brat, you are finished! Not even the Sage of Six Paths could save you now!" Mentally vowing revenge, Kazushi still managed to keep a bright smile stuck on his face while greeting customers.

His threats, however, piled upon one another endlessly, so much so that if the Sage of Six Paths' chakra ever passed by here, it would likely feel ashamed to be associated with them.

Near the Nama River, Shen was puzzled about how to kill time next.

"I don't want to go to school, nor do I feel like going home. So where else should I go then?"

Lost in thought, he walked forward without realizing he was heading toward a certain shrine.

"The official tournament starts next week. Should I study a few ninjutsu techniques?"

As if drawn by the shrine itself, Shen walked closer without noticing anything strange.

"Shadow Clone Technique? Rasengan? Or maybe catch a couple creatures to use as summoning beasts? Speaking of which, there aren't any Pokémon in the Naruto world... Huh? How did I end up here?"

Shen stared blankly at the Naka Shrine before him, surprised that as the Uchiha's Second Young Master, he had never set foot here before.

Since Uchiha clan members often held meetings around here, it wasn't the best place for him to hang around and do whatever he pleased.

"Why isn't anyone here?"

"Did everyone go to the Commercial Street?" He muttered in puzzlement, standing alone inside the empty shrine.

"We should take care of that stone tablet now," Shen decided. "Otherwise my foolish older brother might activate his Mangekyō later and see these fake records, then start a political rebellion with the clan again."

The Uchiha are doing just fine these days. Who even cares about starting a stupid rebellion? Making money's way better, man.

"Which secret chamber was the stone tablet in again? Whatever, I'll just use Elemental Chakra Mode."

Not wanting to waste time searching for the tablet's location, he concentrated earth attribute chakra and activated [Earth Penetration], sinking underground. He quickly reached his destination.

Unaware of what happened above, Shen continued his descent — while not far from where he'd stood earlier, half a pale-white head silently surfaced from the earth.

"Should I report this to Madara Uchiha? He did say to inform him immediately if anything important happened." The pale white half-head slowly sank back into the earth before vanishing completely, seemingly off to some mysterious place to deliver a report.

Inside the secret chamber containing the stone tablet, Shen activated his Sharingan and carefully examined the inscriptions.

"Hmm, sample collection is nearly complete."

What for? Obviously he intended to decipher the ancient text on this tablet! Who said only someone with Rinnegan could understand it? As a 21st-century transmigrator, Shen naturally preferred using his brain. Since he already possessed supernatural advantages, not utilizing them would be such a waste.

Shen's expression turned very strange shortly after obtaining the deciphered content.

"A deity divided Yin and Yang into two extremes. To restore balance, when these two forces reunite as one, one can grasp the entire phenomenal world (Ten Thousand Phenomena)..." Could this possibly be AB's mistake? Or was Otsutsuki Takako also a transmigrator? How did she know the descendants of Indra and Asura would become the Uchiha and Senju clans? Or had this devoted Xiao (loyalist) actually been following Indra's reincarnation all along?

Countless questions swirling in his mind made Shen feel increasingly frightened. Such alien conspirators capable of plotting over thousands of years were definitely not simple foes. Thinking this way, he began comparing the deciphered text against each inscription mark on the tablet meticulously.

"Who says Otsutsuki Takako lacks power? Without immense strength, how could anyone tamper with a tablet left behind by the Sage of Six Paths without leaving any trace? Isn't mastering Yin-Yang Release necessary for modifying this stone tablet?" Realizing this conclusion instantly caused Shen to break into cold sweat.

From the Sage of Six Paths to Madara Uchiha, nobody had ever again mastered both Yin and Yang chakra natures simultaneously. Even Indra, who had dominated Asura effortlessly at first, died without awakening the Rinnegan. So how had Otsutsuki Takako modified this tablet through others' powers?

Only one explanation existed — she herself must possess mastery over Yin-Yang Release. And without Rinnegan, what allowed her vision into the final sections of this tablet?

Shen absolutely refused to believe this Otsutsuki alien's brain worked like his own supernatural advantage could decipher ancient texts. Either Takako potentially possessed Rinnegan awakening capability, or perhaps these writings came straight from the Otsutsuki homeworld.

"This Naruto world is totally different from what I remember!" Shen shouted, frustrated. "This will get really interesting if the Heir didn't manage to send this loyal Xiao (loyalist) flying into space!" His scream echoed within the secret chamber.

At that moment, Haku had already left to report the situation, and the Anbu member was merely guarding him discreetly instead of spying.

"What? Did this world fix some bugs because I crossed over? If that's the case, wouldn't half of the two hundred and sixty hours of anime stored in my brain become useless? Lord Madara probably hasn't made any plans for me yet, right?"

Temporarily lost about the future, Shen Uchiha used Earth Chakra Mode to recreate an identical stone tablet according to its component proportions. After adding some inscriptions, he left. As for the original stone tablet, he sealed it into a scroll and took it with him—he couldn't bring himself to destroy it because he knew how significant it would become in the future.

If the Sage of Six Paths ever saw the altered stone tablet, he'd probably be impressed—it contained dozens of messages promoting unity and peace within the Uchiha clan.

The Sage of Six Paths, who originally left behind the stone tablet, shared similar intentions with Shen, except this new tablet lacked Yin-Yang Release properties.

This might be the same choice made by the only two people who truly understood this world's truth. The Sage believed love was more suitable for this world than power—but what would our protagonist, Shen Uchiha, ultimately think?
