Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Perfect Sculpture

As the two village leaders were discussing the details of the order, Hagoromo's Ship was now only three kilometers away from Sunagakure.

Shen slowed the aircraft before suddenly tossing a large scroll backward.

"!!"

The Wen and Wu brothers were so startled that they immediately jumped apart.

"When we arrive, open this and throw it down. If there's any attack from below, you know what to do?"

"Got it! Not a single shuriken will hit this plane while we're here!" x2

Concerned for their lives, the two immediately patted their chests and gave their promises.

Forget the shurikens—today, I'll spare that organization's finance minister just this once.

(Kakuzu: Do you really think I'm that dumb? You actually believe a shuriken can kill Hashirama Senju?)

Shen glanced sideways at the two, his mind brimming with sarcastic remarks he usually couldn't hold back.

But after a moment's thought, he decided those three characters might not pass censorship, so he gave up on voicing them.

"If they're that scared of dying, can they even handle this?" Changing perspectives, he focused his comments on the brothers' cowardice.

Of course, the transmigrator himself wasn't self-aware enough. After all, ninjas are still human—how could someone not be afraid while sitting in an airplane?

Just like when he first arrived in the Naruto world, hadn't he been terrified of pain? Without his various plot armor abilities, he might have truly become a failed second-generation Uchiha.

This kind of mindset—one that refuses to put oneself in another's shoes—is absolutely unacceptable. Who knows—maybe hundreds of chapters later, these two might take a dark turn?

On top of Hagoromo's Ship, an Anbu member noticed the aircraft had slowed and quickly put away the barrier scroll she had been using.

She had only pulled out this precious item because the speed during ascent had been overwhelming.

Frugality and efficiency had always been the Third Hokage's governing principles. As a pillar of the Anbu, how could she lack that awareness and still hope to rise in rank?

"4 hours, 5 minutes, and 31 seconds. At this rate, future wars may no longer be decided by ninja strength alone," Qing immediately decided to write a detailed ten-thousand-word report after this mission was over.

At the same time, she believed the Uchiha genius behind these inventions must lead Konoha's new research department—even serving as an advisor wouldn't be beneath him.

A talent capable of reshaping the balance of power deserves full support. Sending him on missions is pointless—science truly is the greatest driving force of progress!

Plus, she figured regular lab work might finally keep him busy and stop him from stirring up chaos.

As she kept thinking, she realized even ten thousand words might not be enough—maybe thirty or fifty thousand would be necessary to clearly explain everything to that headache-inducing monster.

At Sunagakure's east gate, over thirty thousand people all gazed up at the massive black triangular form approaching from the sky.

"Quick, look—it has writing on it!"

"Hagoromo's Ship? Is that the name of this aircraft?"

"There's also a red-and-white design!"

Upon hearing the conversation below, the Third Hokage raised his eyes toward the sky.

With just one glance, he recognized exactly what that red-and-white symbol was.

The upper half was red and the lower half white—the emblem of the Uchiha Clan.

"Ahhaha! This little brat really knows how to advertise! What a brilliant move!" Kazushi thought his youngest son's marketing stunt was absolutely brilliant.

Looking at the crowd of over thirty thousand people below, he could already imagine himself swimming freely through an ocean of money.

The Third Hokage mentally unraveled the moment he heard it: "Where's Konoha's symbol?! Did they lose it again?! WHERE IS IT?!"

That's just human nature—get a taste of something good, and you'll always want more. Before long, people start treating those perks like they're normal—and expect even more.

That's why you should know when enough is enough. Like that old saying—win Gaul and then set your sights on Rome. Don't get greedy.

Then again, if he'd actually conquered Shu back then, there might've been no room left in the Three Kingdoms for the "straw-sandal" warlord.

So the Third Hokage, unable to curb his own greed, stretched his neck stiffly and stared straight at Hagoromo's Ship less than a kilometer away, mumbling the same question over and over:

"Where's Konoha's symbol?"

He repeated it endlessly until he noticed something huge being thrown from Hagoromo's Ship.

It came with thick plumes of white smoke—an obvious sign it had just been unsealed from a sealing scroll.

"Konoha's symb—cough cough—why does this look so familiar?" Startled by this sudden move, the Third Hokage broke into a cold sweat.

The Third Hokage knew full well that the Konoha Troublemaker wouldn't let such a golden opportunity slip away. He immediately raised his voice in warning: "Everyone, brace yourselves for impact!"

With that, he crouched firmly down, guessing from the smoke alone that the falling object must be about thirty to forty meters tall.

The clan heads from Konoha quickly followed suit, squatting down too. All of them deeply resented the troublemaking genius flying up in that aircraft.

But they dared only to glare—they didn't dare to speak out or take action. If they really went looking for trouble, there'd be no peace for them ever again.

This guy didn't fear anyone—not even the Third Hokage himself. If he wanted to start dancing at the front, he'd do it without a second thought, right under the Anbu's noses.

On top of that, everyone still remembered the recent feud between the Uchiha and the Hyuga clans.

Back then, they all mocked both sides for acting childish. But if something like that happened to their own clans someday, they surely wouldn't want any part of it.

Those sneaky tricks were nearly impossible to handle without the Byakugan.

"BOOM!!"

A kilometer away, the deafening explosion rippled across the desert and kicked up a storm of yellow sand.

Sand reacted instantly. Over a hundred Wind Release techniques erupted at once, shielding the thirty-thousand-strong crowd from the swirling sands.

"This brat's finished now—even the Sage of Six Paths won't be able to save him!" Kazushi, master of lame jokes, was the first to comment.

Every Konoha ninja rolled their eyes simultaneously, and naturally, Meide—who was born with the Byakugan—rolled his eyes too, forming the ultimate middle-aged eye-rolling squad.

Only Danzo remained unmoved. In fact, his already gloomy face darkened further: "This child will become my greatest threat in the future. I must find a way to deal with him."

Once again, the scheming mastermind got lost in his own schemes.

"This design looks oddly familiar..."

"This has a strong artistic vibe. I'd give it a 90."

"A 90? Shouldn't it be at least a 99, or even a perfect score?"

"Seriously, anyone up for teaming up to go beg him for apprenticeship?"

After over a hundred uses of Wind Release, the smoke released by Hagoromo's Ship completely dissipated. Three thousand people began commenting on the forty-meter-tall sculpture.

Its ivory-like white luster, masterfully sculpted lines, and gracefully poised stance made this large statue truly rival those from the Valley of the End.

The Third Hokage hadn't even fully looked at the sculpture before his eyes widened dramatically, nearly dropping his jaw.

This forty-meter-high sculpture was actually modeled after the current Hokage and Kazekage.

On the left stood the Kazekage, who displayed natural authority. His posture—raising a fist—was full of tension, with the vast sea of white sand behind symbolizing his Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai.

On the right stood the Hokage, balancing on one leg with a staff resting loosely across both hands on his shoulder.

Judging purely from the pose, there was nothing wrong.

It was just their expressions that gave everyone this weird urge—like they just wanted to climb up there and kick it a few times.
