Chapter 158 - Chapter 158: The Wobbly Roller Coaster

On the roller coaster at this very moment, screams of all kinds echoed one after another.

Duy, who arrived early but ended up buying a rear seat, felt his five senses completely overtaken by some strange force the moment the ride started.

"This roller coaster really is extraordinary. It actually lets me feel the sensation of facing fear head-on," he marveled, experiencing the continuous rise and fall, feeling like he truly underestimated that DJ.

In the front row, Team One had only Nawaki sitting in his seat, both hands tightly gripping the safety bar in front of him.

Shen, Nayou, and Orochimaru all wore calm expressions; such simple up-and-down motions clearly couldn't excite them even slightly.

"That's it?" Nayou felt this level of thrill barely satisfied her needs at all.

Shen slowly met her gaze before raising three fingers to the sky and vowing, "I guarantee, the next part will be extremely comfortable!"

Orochimaru, already eighteen years old, found his expression becoming very awkward upon hearing these steamy words from the front seats.

Even passionate scientists are still human, especially since he himself was a fully grown adult in his original form.

This ambiguous dialogue made him sigh deeply over today's children being so open-minded.

In Orochimaru's opinion, when he was young, Jiraiya almost tricked him into sneaking into Konoha Bathhouse for peeping, which back then already counted as quite "advanced" thinking.

Now, these eight-year-olds' conversation instantly gave him a sense of defeat—feeling disconnected from the times.

"Get ready, we're about to spiral straight to the heavens," Shen warned the other three as he looked ahead at the track spiraling toward the sky.

Nawaki immediately blurted out, "What kind of ghost contraption did you build? What if it flies off the tracks by accident?"

Shen turned around, showing a confident smile, "Trust me, my genius designs have never failed."

However, seeing this smile reminded Nawaki of Team One's previous accident.

Instinctively tightening his grip on the safety bar in front of him, he squeezed so hard that ten clear indentations could faintly be seen.

"Here we go!"

As Shen announced, the entire roller coaster rotated, shooting straight toward the sky.

A sudden wave of dizziness struck Nawaki. With nearly one spin per second, his whole body felt uncomfortable.

But Nayou enjoyed the intense pleasure brought by the high-speed rotation. That thrilling sensation felt so good she almost gasped.

Looking at the little boy beside her who smiled at her, she couldn't help but lift the corners of her mouth.

"As expected, Nayou still prefers this kind of attraction," Shen decided immediately—they would experience every single feature today.

Orochimaru returned to his usual impassive face. He had studied every blueprint and parameter inside out; there was nothing about it that could scare him now.

As the roller coaster neared the top of the spiral section, its speed suddenly slowed down, stuttering forward bit by bit.

Looking downward, Nawaki was so frightened he almost released his hands glued onto the safety bar.

"Shen Uchiha! Why did you build this thing so high? Don't you know this could kill someone!"

Ignoring the shouting behind him, Shen Uchiha seized the moment before reaching the peak to briefly explain what was coming next to Nayou: "The spiral track we just went through makes up one-third of the total length. But the vertical drop ahead is truly the essence of a roller coaster."

Upon hearing these words, Nawaki's body began trembling uncontrollably.

"Vertical drop?" asked Nayou with a slightly delighted expression, though her voice remained icy cold. "So you're saying we'll soon experience the impact of gradually reconnecting with the ground?"

"That's right. We should be going down shortly."

As soon as Shen Uchiha finished speaking, the entire roller coaster hurtled downward at high speed.

This caused Nawaki, who had been about to curse, to immediately shut his mouth tightly and hug the protective bar with all his strength, deforming it slightly.

"Whoosh—"

The sensation of free-falling through the air intensified the passengers' excited cheers.

Within two short seconds, they'd already slid from over 300 meters high—more like three hundred and something—all the way down to ground level.

Nobody could possibly know exactly what Nawaki had gone through during those two seconds that left his legs wobbly and weak, his whole body slumping limply in his seat.

"Ahhaha!" Orochimaru sitting beside him even yawned lazily.

Obviously, this kind of physical thrill didn't excite him even a little—he was, after all, a scientist completely devoted to research.

"Nayou, how was that climax section? Wasn't it absolutely amazing?"

"Mmhm, I'm very satisfied. Though the time was too short—less than two seconds."

"How about I extend it next time? Could you handle a thousand-meter drop?"

"No problem at all. I think any longer duration would still be acceptable."

In the first row, Shen Uchiha and Nayou smiled as they exchanged their initial impressions.

Of course they were talking about the roller coaster ride—did you think it was something else?

After listening to this conversation, Orochimaru inwardly exclaimed, "Well now!"

He might not have been very articulate normally, but he wasn't some naive newbie who'd never seen the world.

Riding on this 'weird-sounding' roller coaster finally made him understand why Konoha's young troublemaker constantly acted wild and reckless despite being so young.

It appeared this person's mindset had long surpassed certain adults by a huge margin.

Orochimaru then thought about his teammate Jiraiya's habitual despicable peeping habits, which immediately convinced him that their entire generation had long been surpassed by the new one.

"But I refuse to let something like this happen to me!" Having figured everything out, Orochimaru ultimately denied certain thoughts inside his heart.

He had dedicated his whole life to science—the greatest subject of all. How could he possibly waste his precious time on mere biological reproduction?

Moreover, he genuinely refused to accept that after researching day and night, he wouldn't be able to breakthrough into the mysterious field of parthenogenesis—a biological frontier.

"So what should we name our first child?" Orochimaru imagined jumping forward to when the kid would be born, his eyes filled with expectation.

Just at that moment, however, the roller coaster completed its loop and returned to the starting point.

After wrapping up their conversation, Shen Uchiha and Nayou lifted their safety bars and stood up, walking away together.

Orochimaru, still daydreaming about a bright future, immediately snapped out of his thoughts. He lifted the badly deformed Safety Bar nearby and dragged someone with a pale face out of the Roller Coaster.

"RUA!" Nawaki's whole body went limp. After being dragged for several meters, he began vomiting a colorful rainbow.

"Eh?" Shen's good mood, which had risen after finally starting a conversation with Nayou, instantly plummeted to rock bottom.

He swallowed his nausea and excitedly recommended the next attraction to Nayou and Orochimaru, "How about the Pirate Ship? It swings back and forth in the air—it'll be really fun!"

"No problem!" x2

So, Team One collectively headed toward the next destination.

As for Nawaki, who was now weak in the knees and vomiting uncontrollably, he didn't have any choice at all.

On the Pirate Ship, he nearly passed out.

Then, as the Drop Tower launched again, he passed out completely. With each launch, he'd wake up just long enough to pass out again.

Finally, as the sun set, Nawaki foamed at the mouth while his limbs twitched nonstop.

Luckily, they ran into Tsunade, who had been riding the Drop Tower repeatedly with Jiraiya, or else he might have ended up spending the night at the Theme Park.

Tsunade looked at Jiraiya, then glanced at her similarly disoriented younger brother Nawaki. She reluctantly abandoned the man who had spent the entire day amusing her.

She figured that even with her strength, there was no way she could haul both men back to Konoha, so she chose to take only her beloved little brother home.

She made it very clear that it had absolutely nothing to do with kids weighing less.

Not like he'd lose a limb from staying one night at the Theme Park anyway.

Maybe if he was lucky, some kind-hearted young lady would bring him home?

That evening, at the entrance of the Hyuga clan compound, after safely seeing Nayou home, Shen made his way toward the Uchiha clan compound, separated only by the Senju Clan compound.

"Shen, see you tomorrow!"

Shen turned around to look at his friend and felt reassured—clearly, he had been forgiven.

"Sure, see you tomorrow!" he replied with a smile before turning away.

Standing alone at the entrance of his clan compound, Nayou took out a small black notebook from his pocket. He flipped to a certain page and found the entry labeled "Theme Park," then pulled out a pen and crossed it off.

Yet on that very same page were already countless other entries—each detailing various 'crimes' committed by a certain someone.

No one could tell when every single line inside this black notebook would finally get crossed out.
