ANCIENT BATTLEFIELD, 1123 A. D.

For a thousand years, war came and wend. Empires crumbled. King died.
But Eron remained.
Panel 2:
Close-up on Eron's face. Calm.
Haunted. A sword wound across his chest -- healing before our eyes.
NARRATION ( CAPTION ):
He was cursed, or blessed -- no one
could agree.
They only knew one thing:
Eron could not die
Panel 3:
Villagers peeking from behind trees, whispering as Eron walks away
from the battlefield, leaving the dead
behind.
VILLAGER 1 ( WHISPER ):
He bleeds... but never falls.
VILLAGER 2:
He's not a man. He's something else
PAGE 2 : PRESENT DAY --
UNDERGROUND CITY OF LIREN
Panel 1:
Neon lights reflect on wet streets.
A massive futuristic city built
underground. Towering monorail
above.
NARRATION ( CAPTION):
Now, in a world of machines and memory
implants, myths have become,files.
Legends, archived.
Panel 2 :
Eron, now in a long coat, hood up,
walks through a crowded street.
Faces blur around him. He hasn't
aged.
Panel 3:
He passes a digital billboard:
"Welcome to year 3125 -- The Age of
Transience"
NARRATION (CAPTION):
But Eron?
He's still here.
PAGE 3 : BAR INTERIOR -- LOW
LIGHT, NOIR VIBES
Panel 1:
Eron sits at the back of a dim bar. A bartender with robotic arms pours a
glowing drink
BARTENDER:
Haven't seen you in years, ghost.
Eron:
That's the idea.
Panel 2:
Someone slams a holo- chip onto the
table. A woman in military gear --
CAPTAIN RAE -- eyes him coldly.
RAE:
You're Eron, the Undying.
I need answers.
Panel 3:
Eron smirks slightly.
ERON:
People say that name linke it means something.
It doesn't.
PAGE 4 : FLASHBACK -- ERON'S
ORIGIN
Panel 1 :
A younger Eron, tied to a stone altar,
lighting striking around him. A cult
in black robes chants.
NARRATION ( CAPTION)
Once,long ago, he begged to die.
They made sure he never could.
Panel 2:
Eron's eyes go white as lighting hits
his chest.
Panel 3:
Back to present-- Rae slams her
hand on the table.
RAE:
People are dying, Eron. People like
you.
ERON:
There is no one like me.
RAE:
Not anymore.
PAGE 5: FINAL PAGE -- THE FIRST
SIGN
Panel 1 :
Eron stands outside in the rain. He
Opens his hand. Blood is dripping --
Slowly, but it's there.
ERON ( WHISPER)
No...
Panel 3 :
Far away, a strange figure in a sliver
Cloak watches him from a rooftop,
eyes glowing faintly.
NARRATON ( CAPTION ):
The immortal has begun to break.
