By the window, Zhao Yingkong pressed her chest against the sill, her face turned as she watched the zombies in town staggering toward the hospital.
She grabbed a black bag and rushed into the room where Yujin and the rest of the Central Continent team were gathered.
"There are seven Glocks and one AR-15."
These were the weapons Zhao Yingkong had collected on the night they defended the TV station.
She hadn't expected to use them against Freddy, but now, two hours before their return, they had finally become useful.
Zhang Jie didn't waste a second. He picked up the AR-15, running his hands over it slowly, memories of his military service and target practice flooding back. He stepped toward the door first.
"I'll guard the left staircase!"
Zhao Yingkong gave him a quick glance. "Ammo is limited. Don't waste it."
"Understood!"
Nova quietly picked up a Glock and followed Zhang Jie out of the room.
Six guns still lay on the ground. Ruan Wei reached out to grab one, but Yujin spoke up.
"Ruan Wei, Xiao Yehui—stay with the newcomers."
"Zheng Zha, Zhan Lan, and Aunt—you three take the guns."
Ruan Wei's face fell the moment he realized he wasn't getting one. He didn't dare argue with Yujin, though. Instead, he slunk into a corner, sulking with the air of someone determined to coast through the battle.
Yujin turned to Aunt, speaking in a low voice. "Can I count on you to hold this spot?"
Aunt nodded firmly. "If I see anything dirty, I'll just bang-bang-bang!"
"You'll do fine."
After setting everyone in place, Yujin turned back to Zhao Yingkong.
"Take the rest of the guns and ammo. Giving them more would just be a waste. Kill as many as you can, and don't stop until the very last second."
Zhao Yingkong nodded.
"What about you?" Zheng Zha couldn't help but ask.
"If I don't make it back with you all… then I want you to use the Book of the Dead from The Mummy to bring me back." Yujin gave a faint smile. "At least in return for me risking my life."
The moment his words fell, his wings spread wide. With a powerful kick, he shattered the glass window and leapt out of the hospital!
Following Yujin's flight path, the entire Central Continent team finally noticed it—
At the edge of town, a monstrous figure nearly twenty meters tall was charging straight toward them.
Even though its clothes had stretched grotesquely, that classic striped red-and-green sweater and the long, razor-sharp claws gave away its identity immediately.
The undying demon of Nightmare on Elm Street—Freddy!
"Oh god! We're doomed!" Ruan Wei's legs gave out, his teeth chattering uncontrollably.
Zheng Zha swallowed hard. "It's over."
Zhao Yingkong suddenly shouted, "Don't just stand there! Less than two hours left. Hold on and we can live!"
But how were they supposed to hold on?
Flying high above, Yujin's face was full of bitterness.
In the last Alien world, the Lord God had dropped the Devil Team right on top of them.
Luckily, the Devil Team had been arrogant, and Yujin seized their carelessness to barely survive.
But this time, there was no team battle.
The Lord God directly pulled Freddy out—an enemy the Central Continent team was only supposed to encounter much later.
In dreams, Freddy was invincible. Yujin didn't dare clash with him there. He only dared to fight in reality, striking in short encounters.
By exploiting loopholes in what seemed like restrictive rules, they had struggled to survive until now.
But Freddy had already slaughtered tens of thousands—residents of the town, even people from the neighboring city. Now, even without dragging them into dreams, his power was more terrifying than ever.
To endure for two more hours was ten times harder than surviving the last thirteen days.
But if they didn't, they wouldn't even live to see the fifth day.
"Damn it! Lord God, have some mercy! Keep pushing like this, and if Zheng Pangu dies here, you'll regret it!"
Cursing loudly, Yujin charged straight toward the giant Freddy approaching the hospital outskirts!
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Zhang Jie squeezed the trigger madly.
The townsfolk who had once lived ordinary lives, after being slain by Freddy, had all turned into mindless monsters.
They looked like zombies, but far more dangerous. They were faster, their bodies glowing faintly red.
Zhang Jie fired at them, but the bullets had little effect. On average, it took four shots from his Glock to bring down a single villager. And all his ammo combined barely totaled fifty rounds.
[Dream Servant killed. 100 Reward Points gained.]
The prompt rang in his ears, but Zhang Jie's face twisted with disgust instead of joy.
After surviving two horror movies, he finally understood the Lord God's schemes.
At a glance, there were at least five hundred townspeople!
Some greedy ones might have already thought that killing so many townspeople would be enough to return to the real world.
But the problem was, it wasn't that easy to kill them.
A single face-hugger only gave a hundred reward points, and a townsman gave a hundred too.
There had to be something suspicious.
Sure enough, there was.
Just after Zhang Jie killed a dream-servant, he suddenly felt his eyelids grow unbearably heavy.
In the blink of an eye, those frantic townspeople had already rushed down to the hospital.
"Damn!" Zhang Jie reacted instantly.
The more he killed, the sleepier he became!?
He hurriedly sent this news to Yujin through the communicator.
On the other end, Yujin grumbled, "If you'd been a second later, I would've slept right through."
Up in the air, Yujin abandoned the idea of forming seals to use the Great Fireball Technique and watched helplessly as a huge crowd of townspeople charged toward the hospital.
He had no way to stop them.
But he really didn't have time to deal with this.
Before him, the enormous Freddy swung his claws and looked at Yujin with a smug, triumphant expression.
When Yujin was flying before, Freddy had used the height of buildings to leap up and attack him in midair.
Now, with a twenty-meter body, Freddy didn't even need to stand on tiptoe; he could easily lift an arm and swat Yujin to the ground like a mosquito.
"Damn." Yujin remembered the synchronized memories Uchiha Yujin had given him, the memories of being penniless and meeting Masked Obito and Uchiha Itachi.
Frankly, the situation the current Lord God Yujin faced was even more desperate than what Uchiha Yujin had gone through back then.
But no matter what, Yujin would not surrender!
His hands moved swiftly, forming seals one after another, as chakra surged through his body.
Forty-four intricate hand signs were completed, and in the next instant, a massive water dragon materialized in midair.
The dragon opened its colossal jaws, unleashing a thunderous roar before lunging straight at Freddy.
Its fangs struck with precision, clamping down on Freddy's body.
However, the impact did not produce the expected result.
Freddy stood unmoved, his clothes drenched by the crashing waters, yet his body remained completely unscathed.
To him, the water dragon's might was nothing more than a passing drizzle, incapable of causing any real harm.
Yujin's gaze sharpened. Without hesitation, he shifted tactics, forming seals once again and unleashing a Fire Release technique—the Great Fireball Jutsu.
A blazing sphere of flame hurtled toward Freddy.
The fireball erupted upon contact, exploding in a torrent of flames so intense that the surrounding air itself seemed to boil.
Amidst the blaze, Yujin faintly heard two notification chimes, signaling that he had earned two hundred reward points, though his eyelids involuntarily flickered twice.
Yet even under the assault of the Great Fireball, Freddy showed no sign of pain.
He remained standing in place, allowing the fire to rage across his body as if savoring a scorching bath of flames.
