The call came through normal channels at sunset, exactly twenty-four hours after the revelation about the Progenitors.

Seraphina was reviewing alliance deployment reports when Isabelle's number appeared on her secure phone. Not a burner line or encrypted communication, but the same contact information she'd carried for twenty-three years. As if nothing had changed. As if they were still sisters planning weekend shopping trips instead of enemies preparing for cosmic warfare.

"Hello, Sera." The voice was exactly the same—cultured, slightly breathless, carrying just enough warmth to suggest genuine affection. "I heard about the unpleasantness at Warwick. I hope you're not injured."

"Concerned about family welfare?" Seraphina kept her tone neutral despite the fury building in her chest. "That's touching, considering you spent the night feeding intelligence to forces trying to kill us all."
