The emergency call came through while Seraphina was attempting her first real rest since giving birth. The Paris safe house had finally achieved a few hours of quiet—Emma Chen was sleeping peacefully beside her mother, the resistance members were catching brief naps between crisis management calls, and even the constant monitoring equipment had settled into steady, reassuring rhythms.

Then Marcus burst through the door, his face pale with urgency.

"Ma'am, we have a Code Black situation. The Fontainebleau refugee camp is under siege."

Seraphina sat up carefully, Luna still sleeping against her chest in the carrier. "Details."
