Chapter 4 - the cry- part 2

Guilherme was confused. His heart was racing, and his mind was in chaos.

"Where's Júlia?!" he shouted, fear pouring from his eyes.

"Son, you don't need that girl… you have your mommy here with you," his mother said, trying to comfort him, not understanding the fire that burned inside him.

"No! I need her!" Guilherme yelled, his voice choked with emotion.

"Guigui…" she tried to call him, but he had already run out.

Guilherme got into the car without thinking twice. The rain began to fall, as if the sky shared his pain. He drove without a destination, passing by all the amusement parks they used to visit together—the one with the old carousel, the rusty Ferris wheel, the mirror maze where she used to laugh so much.

Nothing. No sign of her.

Desperate, he grabbed his phone and started calling. Once. Twice. Three times. Ten. Twenty.

"Pick up, Júlia… please…" he whispered.

Finally, after countless attempts, she answered.

"Hello?" Her voice was weak—barely there.

"Júlia! What happened? Where are you? I've been looking everywhere for you!"

And then she told him. Everything. Without hiding her tears, without lying.

And Guilherme… was silent. A heavy silence, broken only by their shaky breathing.

He stayed there, listening, feeling the world slow down.

His chest tight—but relieved—just to hear her voice again.
