Chapter 231: We Will Personally Create the God of Xenomorphs of the Main Universe!

By Great Demon Spirit

Deep within a mysterious black hole, the Maltusians had once hidden the Shadow Cabinet.

In the end, after a colossal energy beam powerful enough to tear through countless galaxies erupted, the Invisibles of the Shadow Cabinet were defeated by the meticulously prepared Guardians.

"Next is to return the First Lantern to this world…" Ganthet, leading a group of Guardians, dragged an immense, translucent Lantern Battery out from the Shadow Cabinet.

Even the most critical and fastidious person would have to gasp in sincere admiration upon seeing this Lantern Battery, which glowed with a seven-colored light. It was simply too beautiful.

On this massive, translucent Lantern Battery, intricate lines like a human nervous system flickered with incomparable splendor.

What truly captured one's attention, however, was the person within this seven-colored Lantern Battery.

It was a humanoid creature with a translucent body, also emitting a seven-colored light. The rainbow blood flowing through every vessel in its body continuously pulsed with a beautiful, faint glow.

"Let me out!!"

The translucent man spoke. A single sentence was enough to cause the Emotional Spectrum to vibrate, and it made every Lantern Ring in the entire universe tremble uncontrollably.

At that moment, every Lantern in the entire universe, no matter which type of Lantern Ring they wore—even the Black Lantern zombies—clutched their heads and howled in agony. Their connection to the Emotional Spectrum had been severely affected.

"You are already out, Volthoom. This is our boon to you. A sinner like you, even if you were fortunate enough to possess a near-eternal life like us, only deserves to stay forever in the sunless Shadow Cabinet. It is we who have given you a second chance."

Ganthet's voice was ice-cold. Facing his old friend, he showed an even crueler attitude. "Therefore, you will contribute your power to this world. All things will change because of it, the world will become better because of it, and you will never escape."

Volthoom was enraged, furiously pounding on the colored Lantern Battery that imprisoned him, but it was useless. "You will regret this! I will get out sooner or later, and once I am free, I will finish what I failed to do a billion years ago—I will kill every last Maltusian!"

"What you think is your freedom, but what we must do is use your power to destroy all free will in the entire universe."

"Give up, Volthoom. Against our immense power, you have no chance."

"We have already mastered the Emotional Spectrum, making us stronger than you were back then. Not long ago, we even easily transformed a normal human into a Black Lantern zombie, something even you couldn't do in your prime."

The Guardians spoke one after another, their voices cold and detached.

The outbreak and conclusion of the Blackest Night were not without value to them. They had gained a deeper understanding and mastery of the black spectrum and no longer needed to hide it as they did in the past.

It was no longer just Black Hand who could bestow a Black Lantern Ring upon a living being; they, the Guardians, could do it as well.

Volthoom was visibly shocked. He remained silent for a long while. Watching his old comrades begin to extract the power from his body, he finally spoke in a low voice, "I never thought you would become like this… Talking about eliminating all the free will in the entire universe? The value of life lies in its rich and varied emotions, and you want to annihilate it all? To turn every living thing in the entire universe into something like you?"

"Peace should be the main theme."

"Volthoom, you have no right to accuse us. You yourself are just a madman who has fallen into madness and desire."

"Don't forget why we sealed you away back then."

Volthoom sneered, "That's because you couldn't kill me, so you could only throw me into a black hole!"

The Guardians simultaneously stretched out their hands, pressing them onto the giant, colored Lantern Battery.

"Before long, the entire universe will welcome an unprecedented era of tranquility."

"Volthoom, you will have the honor of witnessing this moment."

"Now, we go to Earth. We have found the most perfect weapon, a weapon more perfect than the Manhunters or the Green Lantern Corps."

"They are living beings, capable of thought, yet they possess a cold-mindedness comparable to machines and the trait of absolute obedience."

"A superior's control over an inferior is absolute. For some reason, this control is even stronger than that of a creator over a robot."

"What's most wonderful is that this is a parasitic race. With a single move from us, we can instantly grant them unparalleled parasitic ability, allowing them to quickly cover the entire universe."

The Guardians, dragging the enormous Lantern Battery, flew rapidly towards Earth, descending under the night sky with the splendor of a seven-colored meteor.

The commotion was huge and would attract the attention of some troublesome individuals, but at this point, it no longer mattered.

They and Volthoom appeared in a xenomorph hive.

A large number of Xenomorphs watched them warily but did not attack immediately, nor did they let out meaningless hisses to sound an alarm. Instead, they moved with cold indifference, surrounding these uninvited guests.

"What perfect creatures. Quieter and colder than even robots. But I keep feeling like they're observing us… Is it really appropriate to abandon the original plan and use these Xenomorphs as the source of soldiers for the Third Army?"

"Relying solely on Volthoom's power to create assimilation machines will leave the Third Army's strength incredibly thin, unable to clear all obstacles in the entire universe. Don't forget, this is the Main Universe."

Ganthet said indifferently, "But Xenomorphs are different. We don't need a large number of them, just a portion. We will use Volthoom's power to modify these things and sever their connection to the God of Xenomorphs, turning them into creatures under our command. In an instant, they will spread throughout the entire universe, infesting countless life forms and birthing even more Xenomorphs."

According to the original plan, creating Third Army soldiers with assimilating abilities using only Volthoom's power would take just three months to assimilate all life in the entire universe.

Just like the Black Lantern zombies of the Blackest Night, they would specifically target the living, allowing the legion's soldiers to spread as rapidly as a virus, eventually converting everyone in the entire universe into soldiers under their control.

In that way, an absolutely stable order would be established—provided they weren't hindered by those superheroes.

But how could that be possible?

If the resistance was too strong, the originally planned Third Army soldiers would have a hard time holding their ground.

But Xenomorphs were different. This creature possessed the ability to perfectly extract the genes of its host.

"These are the creatures? So unremarkable. You lunatics actually want to use these things as the source of soldiers for the Third Army?" Volthoom mocked. "I may be a madman, but your minds aren't very clear either, to actually consider putting my power into these beings."

"Foolish, Volthoom. The potential of these creatures is beyond your imagination. They can parasitize any living being and instantly acquire the host's theoretical maximum potential, ultimately replacing the host to appear in this world in an even more powerful state."

Ganthet coolly sized up Volthoom, the look of a predator in his eyes revealing his inner thoughts. "Don't be anxious. Your turn will come soon enough. After we have established order throughout the entire universe, you, the last remnant of free will, will also be eliminated. I will personally select an outstanding Xenomorph for you, allowing it, with its absolute loyalty, to replace you and possess power that surpasses yours."

Volthoom looked at the Xenomorphs outside with suspicion and uncertainty. He couldn't sense any formidable power from them at all.

But… could it be true? Did these Xenomorphs really have such an ability?

He had spent countless eons traveling through various universes at different points in time with his Travel Lantern, and he had never heard of the existence of Xenomorphs.

Perhaps they were a species that had only recently emerged on Earth?

Wait, the God of Xenomorphs… these Xenomorphs have a deity? Heh heh, now this was interesting. It was a pity he couldn't escape this cage; otherwise, he could have wielded the Emotional Spectrum to quickly figure out the situation with these Xenomorphs, and even probe the so-called God of Xenomorphs.

The Guardians acted in unison, extracting Volthoom's power, causing him to let out a pained roar.

But what the Guardians failed to notice was that a tiny crack had appeared on the surface of the colored Lantern Battery that bound Volthoom. Even if they had noticed, they probably wouldn't have cared. They would not abandon their plan to use Volthoom because of such a small risk, as long as they ensured he couldn't escape.

"Just you wait, I will get out!!" Volthoom roared in fury.

"You will, as a Xenomorph," Ganthet said coldly.

No matter how one looked at it, the Xenomorph was just too wonderful. Imagine that future: a seven-colored Xenomorph would chestburst from Volthoom's body, possessing his maximum potential. With their help, this Xenomorph, as a living being, would be fully capable of making contact with and wielding the Emotional Spectrum, all while being absolutely obedient to their commands…

A Volthoom-plus that surpassed Volthoom, yet was even more obedient… No matter how emotionless and desire-free they were, no Guardian could refuse such a creature.

The only thing worth worrying about was the mysterious God of Xenomorphs. However, based on assessments from the Emotional Spectrum and the contents of the Book of the Black, that entity had been active in Universe 3, causing a huge stir, and was currently locked in a fierce battle with Black Hand.

Even if he successfully defeated Black Hand, he might not deliberately come to the Main Universe. After all, there were 52 universes alone, and most of them had Xenomorphs.

"Don't worry too much. The God of Xenomorphs' strength is likely not as powerful as we imagine, at least not nearly on par with those ancient beings from the Sphere of the Gods. Otherwise, why would he remain in the Multiverse? Without being bathed by the 'God Wave,' his strength would be greatly affected," Ganthet said, knowing what his kin were thinking.

The God Wave was a unique power in the higher dimension of the Sphere of the Gods, as ubiquitous as air on Earth. A high-level god could only progress and stabilize their divine power by bathing in the God Wave and accepting its cleansing.

This was also why the ancient gods tended to stay in the Sphere of the Gods. Even if a major event occurred in the Multiverse that forced them to intervene, the gods would generally send an avatar to fight in the Multiverse.

Deploy their main body? Putting aside how heavy a burden a being of multiversal standing entering the Multiverse would be—the DC side was vastly different from Marvel—when the time came for the main body to act, it often meant that all pretenses were dropped and it was time for a fight to the death. Such a situation would rarely occur.

Of course, the Sphere of the Gods also had many universal-level gods, but who would be crazy enough to let their main body reside permanently in the Multiverse when they could enjoy the boost in strength from the God Wave?

"That's right. The God of Xenomorphs is at most a cosmic god. He hasn't reached a level that we need to be concerned about."

"We have already confirmed through the Book of the Black and the Emotional Spectrum that the God of Xenomorphs does not exist in this universe. This is the best outcome. It means the God of Xenomorphs only exists in Universe 3 and those remote universes without even a designation."

The Guardians conversed as they extracted Volthoom's power.

Without leaving the Multiverse, one was subject to its replication. Just as every universe theoretically had a Superman and a Batman, so too would there be Guardians. Of course, in some universes, this hero might be dead while that villain was alive, but that was another matter entirely.

In the Guardians' view, the God of Xenomorphs did not have a multiversal standing and had not entered the Sphere of the Gods, so he would inevitably be affected by this replication. And from the looks of it, his kind was extremely difficult to be born, unable to exist universally across all universes.

"Theoretically, what we do in the Main Universe will not attract the attention of the God of Xenomorphs from Universe 3. He can't even quickly deal with Black Hand. Even if he came to the Main Universe, we could handle him."

"The only thing to guard against is the possibility that he truly senses something, comes to the Main Universe, and influences the Main Universe Xenomorphs, who have an extremely rigid social hierarchy."

"Let's proceed with our plan. Use Volthoom's power to modify the Xenomorphs, turn them into our exclusive race, incorporate them into the Third Army, and completely shield them from the God of Xenomorphs' perception and control!"

"At the apex of the xenomorph social pyramid, there can only be us!"

The Guardians extracted a stream-like blue blood from Volthoom's body. They then struck out in all directions, capturing Xenomorphs on a large scale and implanting this blue blood into their bodies, modifying them with the Emotional Spectrum.

One by one, the Xenomorphs let out hisses as their forms gradually began to change.

"The Queen has been found. Should we kill her, or modify her?"

"This Queen has great research value. It would be a pity to kill her. Since the God of Xenomorphs doesn't exist in our universe, we can just create one—we'll use Volthoom as the vessel to birth the God of Xenomorphs of the Main Universe."

The Guardians focused intently, sensing the changes in the Xenomorphs.

...

"Interesting. These Guardians are truly talented. They've given me a shocking little 'welcome to the Main Universe.'"

Du Wa had witnessed the Guardians' actions from start to finish.

Volthoom's agonized cries also echoed across Earth, and the seven-colored light shot into the sky, impossible to conceal.

Du Wa had to admit, these Guardians were certainly creative. They actually planned to create a branch of Xenomorphs that only they could control, nullifying the potential negative impact from him, the "God of Xenomorphs from Universe 3," while also creating a God of Xenomorphs for the Main Universe themselves.

Good, very good.

"I can already feel the agitation of the Emotional Spectrum."

Du Wa stroked the Power Ring on his finger, which glowed with a green light.
