Chapter 2 - 2: Shattered heart

Lucas's eyes filled with tears as he stared at Alice's lifeless body. He felt a mix of anger, sadness, and desperation wash over him. He turned to the organization's members, his voice shaking with rage.

"Why?" Lucas demanded, his voice barely above a whisper. "Why did you have to kill her? She was just a child, and she made a mistake. Is that really worth taking her life?"

The member who had shouted earlier sneered at Lucas. "You think you can question our methods? You think you can defy us? We're the ones who decide who lives and dies around here."

Lucas's anger boiled over, and he launched himself at the member. But he was quickly restrained by several other members, who pinned him to the ground.

"You'll pay for your insolence," one of them growled.

Lucas struggled against their grip, his eyes fixed on Alice's body. He felt a sense of despair wash over him, knowing he couldn't protect her.

As he looked at Alice, Lucas's anger turned to determination. He would make them pay for what they had done. He would seek revenge for Alice's death, no matter the cost.

The members dragged Lucas away, throwing him back into his room. Lucas lay on the floor, his mind racing with thoughts of revenge. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to risk everything to avenge Alice's death.

In that moment, Lucas's world was shattered. He had lost the one person he cared about, and he was left with nothing but anger and a desire for revenge. He knew he would never be the same again, and that his life would forever be defined by his quest for vengeance.

Lucas sat in the corner of his room, overcome with grief and anger as he cried for his sister, Alice. The pain of losing her was still fresh, and the memory of her lifeless body on the ground haunted him. Suddenly, the door burst open, and an organization member stood before him, his expression cold and menacing.

"Stop being noisy," the member growled, his voice dripping with malice. Lucas's eyes locked onto him, and he felt a surge of anger. But he didn't know if this man was responsible for Alice's death.

The member's eyes seemed to gleam with a mix of curiosity and annoyance as he looked at Lucas. "You're still mourning your sister?" he asked, his voice a little softer. Lucas nodded, his eyes welling up with tears again.

The member's expression changed, and he seemed to take pleasure in Lucas's pain. "I'm the one who killed your sister," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance. "She was weak, and she deserved to die. Just like all of you."

Lucas's eyes snapped up, and he stared at the member with a mix of anger and hatred. "You... you're the one who killed her," he spat, his voice trembling with fury.

The member sneered, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Yes, I did. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. You people are nothing but pawns to be used and discarded. Your sister was just a weak link in the chain."

Lucas's anger boiled over, and he launched himself at the member. But he was met with a swift and brutal response. The member backhanded Lucas across the face, sending him crashing to the ground.

As Lucas struggled to get back to his feet, the member stood over him, his eyes blazing with contempt. "You're nothing but a pathetic little worm," he sneered. "You'll never be strong enough to take revenge on me."

Lucas's eyes blazed with determination as he pulled out the small knife he had secretly kept hidden. With a fierce cry, he launched himself at the member, knife flashing in the dim light of the room.

The member was taken aback by Lucas's sudden attack, but he quickly regained his composure and prepared to defend himself. The two clashed in a flurry of punches and knife strikes, the air thick with tension.

Lucas fought with all his might, fueled by his anger and determination to avenge his sister's death. But the member was stronger and more experienced, and he fought back with brutal efficiency.

The battle was intense, with both combatants exchanging blows and neither gaining the upper hand. Lucas's knife sliced through the air, narrowly missing the member's face, but the member retaliated with a powerful kick that sent Lucas crashing to the ground.

As Lucas struggled to get back to his feet, the member pinned him down, his knee pressed firmly into Lucas's chest. "You're no match for me, kid," he sneered, his eyes glinting with contempt.

But Lucas refused to give up. With a surge of adrenaline, he managed to break free from the member's grip and launched himself at him once again. The battle raged on, with neither side willing to yield.

Despite his determination, Lucas was starting to tire. The member was too strong, and Lucas's movements were becoming slower and more labored. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Lucas remembered the words of his sister: "Never give up, Lucas."

With renewed determination, Lucas summoned all his strength and launched a final attack. The knife flashed in the light, and for a moment, it seemed like time stood still. The member's eyes widened in surprise as Lucas's knife found its mark, and he stumbled backward, clutching at his side.

Lucas took advantage of the momentary distraction to scramble to his feet and make a run for it. He knew he had to escape, not just from the member, but from the organization itself. He was determined to make them pay for what they had done to his sister, and he knew it wouldn't be easy. But he was ready to fight, no matter what it took.
