Chapter 142 - Chapter 142: Testing the Power of Magnetic Field Rotation

"Formed from the fusion of dozens of heavy mechs—just how massive would such a monster be!"

Corin could already imagine Odin's terror, and she trembled so hard that the sawblade in her arms clattered to the ground.

For something to be called a heavy mech, it had to be at least four or five meters tall.

If dozens of heavy mechs were fused into one body, it would easily stand thirty to forty meters tall.

And if she were to encounter it…

She could only charge in swinging her chainsaw in fear!

"Don't worry too much, little Corin." Rina said gently. "This operation, we're only the support. The one who'll be handling the frontline are Mr. Sol Mercer and that Ms. Hoshimi Miyabi."

"Thank you for the reassurance, Head Maid! I'll do my best!"

Corin bowed nervously.

Von Lycaon shook his head, helpless toward this little maid who shouted about being afraid yet always charged ahead the fiercest. "Now that everyone knows the mission details, prepare yourselves. Though we are not knights fighting on the front line, we cannot afford carelessness."

"After two days of preparation, we will formally issue the commission to Mr. Sol Mercer."

"Got it, Boss Lycaon."

"Yes, Master Lycaon!"

Two days passed quickly, and night fell again.

Sol lay on his bed, idly stroking Baal.

Since returning from the Cunning Hares' visit to the orphanage, life had been calm, filled only with small commissions like finding cats and dogs.

Nicole, though, accepted everything without hesitation—truly desperate from poverty.

But for Sol, it had grown a little boring. Each day was spent teasing Nicole or flirting over comms with other girls.

Even his gacha pulls these past two days hadn't given him anything good—just a plain Skyrider Sword and an equally plain Golden Colt Revolver.

So instead, Sol began focusing on developing his own abilities.

Combining Tesla's spiritual foundation with his electromagnetic control, he was constantly struck with inspiration for new powers.

For instance, a large-scale perception system based on electromagnetic fields, giving him vast streams of information from the perspective of magnetism.

Or electromagnetic heating modeled after a microwave oven, which could not only inflict tremendous burn damage but also cook food.

Or detection based on the body's electric signals, making him a living polygraph of the highest caliber.

And so on, and so on…

The one he valued most, however, was—

"Magnetic Field Rotation!"

Sol recited inwardly.

Magnetic Field Rotation was a power system originating from the Hong Kong comic Sea Tiger. Its potential was astonishingly high—reaching a level where one technique could reboot a single universe multiple times!

Yet to reach that level required a million horsepower, perfect mastery, and the flawless stacking of many powers. With his current abilities, such a height was still far beyond reach.

He didn't even have the Sea Tiger world's cultivation methods, knowing only the concept of the Magnetic Field Rotation.

Fortunately, with his electromagnetic control, he could bypass training methods entirely. Through technique alone, he could achieve an external expression equal to two hundred fifty thousand horsepower of Magnetic Field Rotation.

That meant becoming a human hydrogen bomb—one punch spanning dozens of kilometers, the kind that could wipe Hiroshima or Nagasaki off the map.

So why only two hundred fifty thousand horsepower?

Because one million horsepower meant complete mastery of the four fundamental forces of the universe.

With his LV5.5 electromagnetic control, he had essentially taken a shortcut, reaching a medium-level control of electromagnetism comparable to two hundred fifty thousand horsepower of Magnetic Field Rotation.

Thus, using electromagnetic control as a base, combined with the concept of Magnetic Field Rotation and Tesla's wisdom, he forced himself to achieve an outward expression of that two hundred fifty thousand horsepower.

This wasn't just talk. It required intelligence to theorize and a sufficient number of real, tested experiments to achieve.

Of course, he only matched its outward expression. Things like physical durability and the perfected stages of cultivation that came with higher realms were absent.

After all, he lacked a formal training system for Magnetic Field Rotation and was merely improvising along side paths.

"But it's not a loss either. A two hundred fifty thousand horsepower punch of Magnetic Field Rotation is already more than enough in this world!"

Sol clenched his fist, and an intangible yet solid electromagnetic field gathered around it.

After several days of preliminary experiments, he could already exert destructive power equivalent to two hundred thousand horsepower of Magnetic Field Rotation through electromagnetic control.

Since electromagnetic control was an ability he already possessed, Tesla's knowledge simply allowed him to push it to greater extremes.

Such power could rival a small nuclear bomb, equivalent to the Fat Man or Little Boy, enough to obliterate Hiroshima or Nagasaki.

As for reaching the peak two hundred fifty thousand horsepower—that wasn't something daydreaming could achieve. It would require actual combat data for adjustment.

Only through real battles could he grasp the finer details of Magnetic Field Rotation, and gradually refine it.

He needed an opponent—someone worthy to test the power of Magnetic Field Rotation against.

Perhaps it was time to visit Hollow Zero. Using Nineveh as a punching bag didn't sound bad.

"Can you please stop doing dangerous things? It makes me feel very unsafe."

"If you blow up the bed, the two of us won't have anywhere to sleep tonight."

Baal shrank her neck as she looked at Sol beside her.

Possessing electromagnetic control herself, she could clearly see the formless yet tangible magnetic field twining around Sol's hand.

Refined through the intricate restructuring of Magnetic Field Rotation, its power was exponentially amplified.

"Relax, my control is excellent. Nothing will go wrong."

Sol smiled slightly, dispersing the field in his hand.

Electromagnetic Control was a bug-tier ability—playing with electromagnetic forces at will, freely shaping it before any other physical effects manifested.

Suddenly, Sol remembered something. Looking seriously into Baal's eyes, he asked, "Baal, how much of my Magnetic Field Rotation have you learned?"

"Hmm… maybe thirty percent?"

Baal tilted her head uncertainly.

She too possessed electromagnetic control, and could easily perceive Sol's methods of manipulating the field.

But perception was one thing, recreating it was another.

She lacked the precision of control, as well as Sol's mysterious knowledge.

Who knew how his brain worked, to suddenly invent such a terrifying technique.

On Teyvat, he would surely be considered at the level of an Archon.

"Thirty percent is enough."

Sol was satisfied with Baal's progress.

The difference in Magnetic Field Rotation wasn't just a matter of incremental upgrades. The destructive power at two hundred thousand horsepower was several times that of one hundred thousand.

If Baal could replicate thirty percent of his techniques, then she could reach a level equal to one hundred thousand horsepower—enough to topple mountains with a gesture.

This tiny Bangboo now held the force to split the heavens. Truly, impressive!

With a strange swell of sentiment, Sol hugged Baal and drifted comfortably into sleep.
