"I'm also very pleased to have the service of you both." Sol looked at the two of them and said with a smile, "With the two of you joining me, my endeavors will proceed much more smoothly."

It's already in the bowl… now then, what kind of way should I go about enjoying it?

Office romance actually has its own kind of charm, doesn't it?

And these two aren't just looks—they're genuinely capable, and they can provide him with plenty of help.

At the very least, when it comes to extracting benefits from the Interastral Peace Corporation, leaving it to professionals like them is far more convenient. As for cooperation with Herta, the two of them and the forces under their command can also offer considerable assistance.

What he intends to accomplish is an unprecedentedly massive project.

You could say that turning fantasy into reality handles the most crucial and arduous work, but a concrete model is still indispensable.

Even a genius like Herta cannot guarantee that a correct system connecting all the stars in the universe can be derived through data extrapolation alone.

"From now on, we hope to make things more enjoyable for you."

Jade and Topaz both secretly let out a sigh of relief.

This was far better than they had imagined—he didn't immediately assign them any difficult or embarrassing tasks.

Sol tapped on the desk and asked, "By the way, how do you plan to fulfill the other two conditions?"

Topaz's expression turned serious as she replied, "I'll personally visit Ms. Herta at Herta Space Station and do my best to meet her requirements."

"I've had some dealings with Ms. Herta in the past due to debt-related matters, so I should be able to convey your intentions clearly."

Thinking of that bill that stretched to an unbelievable length gives me a headache just recalling it.

It's not that Herta Space Station is a deadbeat—backed by Station Head Asta's family, they pay extremely promptly.

But because Ms. Herta's expenses are both excessive and varied, sorting through the accounts each time is a nightmare. That endless string of zeros nearly makes me suffocate.

Still, now that she belongs under Sol, even though she retains her seat among the Ten Stonehearts, she no longer needs to accept any missions from the company. That alone makes things much easier.

When she thinks about suddenly having so much extra rest time, it actually feels a little unfamiliar.

Going to Herta Space Station to negotiate—she really is the most suitable person for the job.

"I'm quite familiar with the company's various lines of business." Jade glanced at Robin, her expression softening slightly, before continuing, "During the company's upcoming no-liability support for Penacony, I should be able to play a meaningful role."

"I will ensure that your interests and Miss Robin's interests are fully protected, without showing the company the slightest bias."

This was her first task after becoming one of Sol's subordinates—she had to perform well and secure the greatest possible benefits for him.

Loyalty that isn't absolute is absolute disloyalty.

After switching allegiances to Sol, she must clearly understand her position. No matter how high her status once was within the Interastral Peace Corporation, now she is merely Sol's subordinate.

Moreover, even the Interastral Peace Corporation itself would not want her to favor the company, because that would be disrespectful to Sol.

From what Director Diamond said, she came to understand many things.

The most important thing for them, after pledging themselves to Sol, is to serve him wholeheartedly and earn his goodwill toward the company.

"Mm, I'll leave these two matters to you."

Sol nodded, clearly satisfied with their attitudes.

These were intelligent people—he didn't need to remind them much. They had already set their positions straight.

However, there was something else that piqued his curiosity.

In the company's actions regarding Penacony, these two could only be considered accomplices. The truly serious main culprit was Aventurine.

Aventurine had planned the entire operation, and the situation only devolved into chaos because of Sol's intervention. His own cornerstone was shattered, two cornerstones were lost, and he even managed to provoke Sol himself—an enormous problem.

Jade and Topaz were packaged and handed over to Sol to placate the incident.

But then… what about Aventurine?

Sol looked at the two of them and asked with some curiosity, "Do you know how Aventurine is doing now?"

"Mm…" Jade hesitated slightly, observing Sol's expression as she chose her words carefully. "As for his situation, I can't really say whether it's good or bad."

"Go on."

Sol raised an eyebrow, clearly interested.

Seeing that Sol showed no sign of displeasure, Jade spoke more earnestly. "As the primary party responsible for this failure and the tremendous losses it caused, Aventurine should have received the most severe punishment."

"However, due to your leniency, the matter was resolved internally within the Strategic Investment Department, and his culpability was reduced."

"Considering the substantial resources the company invested in cultivating him as a senior employee, Aventurine was not executed. Instead, he is to be sent on an extremely arduous assignment."

"He will, as the company's representative, enter into a political marriage with the male head of a Harmony-aligned family in another star system, becoming a link between the two sides and taking responsibility for securing greater benefits for the company."

Even she felt a bit speechless—the member of the Market Expansion Department who came up with this idea was nothing short of a genius.

To open up an emerging market, they're even willing to use Aventurine's body… Just how did that mad genius manage to convince a male family head to enter a marriage with another man?

"This opportunity is extremely precious for Aventurine—perhaps the only chance for him to preserve his life."

Topaz's expression was exceedingly complicated, as if she could already see Aventurine nestling against the chest of a towering, rugged man.

A round face, a full beard, a Harmony family head. This isn't a Sunday-type pairing you can enjoy—it's the kind that's outright painful to look at.

Because of Aventurine's fate, even though she was implicated as well, she couldn't bring herself to resent him too much. Instead, she felt a faint sense of sympathy.

"Th-this…"

Robin wore a conflicted expression.

A male Harmony family head—even though she knew it couldn't possibly be her brother; he was the first person that came to mind.

This kind of combination is… really strange.

But then again, maybe Brother would actually like this sort of love-hate pairing.

Watching Aventurine and Brother bicker back then was actually pretty entertaining.

"Aventurine… to think he's fallen to this point."

Sol couldn't help but sigh.

That sharp-tongued, handsome guy—Sol rather appreciated him.

Who would have thought he'd end up being targeted by another man? Fate truly had a twisted sense of humor.

He decided to intervene, because he simply couldn't imagine Aventurine being with a man.

Besides, with Jade and Topaz now firmly under his command as a reliable elder sister and younger sister, surely he should give them some work to do, right?

"Has Aventurine already set off?" Sol looked at Jade and asked. "I want to help him out. What is he doing right now?"

Jade glanced at the company's schedule and replied, "According to the timing… he's undergoing gender reassignment surgery."
