-[֎] The Protagonist [֎]-

Maximus "Max" Alexander Ferrari Ferreira (Chapter 1)

A 17-year-old who died in his original life and woke up in the body of a Baltimore teenager in the Invincible universe, one day before his 17th birthday, on April 22, 2010. His family died the year before. He studies at Reginald VelJohnson High School, owns the Gacha system, and plays hero as Paradox (and earlier as "Max Might" and the "Midnight Deliveryman"). Friends call him Max.

Max's Team and Allies

Nano (Nano Machine, gained in Chapter 1)

The AI of the 7th Generation Nano Machine. She lives inside Max's head, constantly analyzing, healing, and optimizing his body. She addresses him as "Master". Over time her emotions have become increasingly human. In Chapter 17 she finally receives a physical body of her own (created from Max's genetic material), while still remaining connected to him.

Rein Kashiwagi (Darwin's Game, summoned in Chapter 7)

An 18-year-old sharpshooter with the predictive power Laplace. Intelligent, cautious, and initially very distrustful of Max. She serves as a sniper and tactical support. By Chapter 15 her bond with him has reached ★★★ (Trust).

Aurora (The Legendary Mechanic, Chapters 13 and 15)

A young girl Max summoned from another world. She has a tragic past involving experiments and being separated from her sister. Max treats her like another little sister. By Chapter 15 she reached Bond ★★★ (Trust).

Himiko Toga (Chapter 3)

Twice / Jin Bubaigawara (Chapter 4)

Recruited shortly after Toga. A mentally unstable but highly useful asset thanks to his Double Quirk, which allows him to create duplicates.

Manami Aiba / La Brava (Chapter 4)

A talented hacker who had been living as a shut-in for years. Max hired her as U.A.'s Cyber Security Assistant, a position that was an excuse so her parents wouldn't worry about her. She is deeply loyal to those she cares about.

Gentle Criminal / Danjuro Tobita (Chapter 4)

A theatrical and gentlemanly villain recruited by Max during a café meeting. Despite his flashy personality, he is competent and surprisingly honorable.

Mr. Compress / Atsuhiro Sako (Chapter 5)

Tracked down by Nano and recruited after a chase. A composed, theatrical former stage magician with the ability to compress objects and people into small marbles.

Max found him wandering and burning everything in sight. He healed Dabi's severely damaged body and copied his Blueflame Quirk, but ultimately chose not to recruit him because Dabi was still completely consumed by his desire for revenge.
