Chapter 59 - Chapter 49: Vaults, Wizards, and Fish & Chips

After hours of flight, the private jet finally descended onto the shimmering runways of Unicorn Country. Han Yue practically bounced in her seat, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Wizards, fish and chips, museums, croissants, gelato—woohoo!" she shouted as the jet touched down.

Before they disembarked, Long Yi looked at her and calmly said, "Ten days. Don't go overboard." Then, he turned and left the jet with Shadow 7 for another secret operation.

But Han Yue was already on the move.

As soon as she stepped foot outside, she sniffed the air like a bloodhound and made a beeline for the nearest fish and chips shop. Munching happily, she proceeded to order 200 servings each from every single shop she passed by. For three days straight, she swept through the entire fish-and-chips scene of the city.

Next were bakeries. Shepherd's pie, custards, croissants—anything warm, buttery, or flaky? Bought out. She told the owners to prep for another full stock for the next three days.

"La la la~" she sang, happily riding the city's iconic steam trains. She was so smitten by the ride that she ordered several miniature train sets and all the tracks available. Her assistant's mouth twitched. Now she's buying trains too? Shadow 2, already long desensitized to her ways, simply followed while munching on vinegar-drenched fish and chips. Huh, not bad.

Out in the hills, they visited dairy farms and scooped up all the excess milk, powdered milk, and eggs from local farmers. The farmers wept with joy. Han Yue beamed—finally, her bank account was almost dry! It had been nearly two months of non-stop spending, made more difficult by the fact that Assistant Chen kept using Long Yi's card instead of hers.

She also hoarded potatoes, bought every condiment imaginable, and sampled every takeout stall she could find—shawarmas, curries, pizzas, dragon-people food, burgers, fast food, snacks. She ordered 500 of each.

Every bakery was raided. Every gelato stand—bought out.

By the fifth day, she was riding trains to explore deeper into the countryside when she heard about a gold vault and a museum.

"HMMMMMmmmm," Han Yue muttered, scheming.

"Shadow 2, can you break into the vault?" she asked, her eyes wide and innocent.

There was a pause. Then Shadow 2 nodded. "We'll go before we leave the country."

Han Yue grinned and nodded obediently like a well-behaved child.

Assistant Chen squinted suspiciously and sighed, already contacting people to start investigating both the museum and the vault.

Later that week, Han Yue visited a wizard-themed amusement park. "Waaah! Wizards! Harry! Butterbeer! Woohoo!" She was in heaven. Fish and chips in one hand, wand in the other.

By the tenth night, Long Yi returned, already fully informed of her "plans." He decided to accompany her for the raid on both the museum and the gold vault.

The rest of the team had already evacuated, leaving behind ten elite operatives. At 12 midnight, the operation began.

First: the museum.

Han Yue was dressed in a modified alien outfit—this time with a wizard cape, a wizard hat, a drawn-on lightning bolt scar, and a wand. She even scribbled a big number 3 on her stomach.

Waving her wand dramatically, she declared, "Disapparatus!" and then disappeared from view. (With Shadow 2's tech assistance, of course.)

The CCTV feeds? Disconnected. Items? Looted.

Next: the gold vault.

Shadow 2 jammed all signals. Using a small charge, they created a dog-sized hole in the wall.

"Wow, Shadow 2, you're so direct," Han Yue giggled as she crawled in.

Inside, she didn't just take the gold. She took the racks. The alarms. The safes. By the time she left, it was just an empty brick building. She placed a paper with a bold number 3 on the ground before crawling out.

They returned in a black car. Han Yue took off her alien mask and pulled on a plain black one, adding a coat to hide her wizard robe. "Perfect," she giggled.

At 5 AM, they boarded the jet to their next and final destination:

Rainbow Country.

Part 2: The Number 3 Prophecy

While on the jet, Han Yue headed to the airplane's shower room. Phew—what a long day. She had even crawled through a dog hole! Sticky and sweaty, she sighed in relief as warm water poured over her. After freshening up, she changed into a comfortable shirt and shorts—so relaxing!

Following close behind her was the little baby leopard, meowing and padding along loyally.

On the other side of the cabin, Long Yi was quietly observing her… until his phone buzzed. A message from Grandpa Long popped up:

"I didn't know my future granddaughter-in-law is a wizard fan. I am too! Hehe. When you return home, I'll show her my wand collection."

Long Yi twitched his mouth, closed the message without replying, and locked his phone with a sigh.

Han Yue plopped down beside him and checked her own phone. Unsurprisingly, it was exploding with headlines again—this time from Unicorn Country:

"THE GOLD VAULT WAS RAIDED"

"COUNTRY ON LOCKDOWN"

"NUMBER 3 LEFT—IS IT A SIGN?"

"ALIENS ARE FANS OF WIZARDS?"

"ALIEN STOLE THE GOLD?"

"WHAT DOES THE NUMBER 3 MEAN?"

Netizens were going wild.

"Wow! Even the alien is a Harry Potter fan!"

"The number 3 must be a clue! Is the end of the world coming in 3 days? 3 weeks?!"

"Maybe it's a countdown?!"

Some began hoarding supplies again. Others were making memes, alien plushies, wizard-themed alien merch, or rewatching wizard movie trilogies with popcorn in hand.

Meanwhile, in the confidential war room of the Dragon Kingdom government, a large screen displayed a paused video: an alien in a wizard outfit with a lightning bolt scar, a cape, and a big number "3" drawn on its stomach. The figure vanished magically in the empty museum hallway. No sound. Just visuals.

Some officials sighed heavily. Others tried to suppress chuckles.

Then someone broke the silence.

"The alien is saying there are three months left."

Everyone nodded solemnly.

"The vanishing act must be a superpower," someone else added.

"The empty museums, malls, and gold vaults—could be space-related abilities. Possibly dimensional storage."

Murmurs of agreement spread through the room.

Some people looked thoughtful. Some… a little envious.

What if they had that kind of ability? How useful it would be in the chaos to come.

The secretary stepped forward with a report.

Confirmed disasters from the past two months—tornadoes, cold snap, communication collapse—all matched the documented warnings.

Sighs again.

Production of emergency shelters and survival bases was progressing but wouldn't finish before the extreme heat arrived.

However, they expected that night-time movement would still be possible, allowing construction to continue.

"The base is livable, but expansion is delayed. It's within acceptable margins," said the secretary.

Evacuation notices had already been sent out. Some civilians refused to leave.

They couldn't be forced, so the government had to let the stubborn stay behind.

Warehouses were filling steadily with global shipments of supplies.

The financial bureau also submitted their briefing:

Corrupt officials, tax evaders, and shady corporations had all been exposed and imprisoned.

Assets confiscated.

Money—cash, stocks, even digital currencies—were being converted worldwide into practical reserves: food, fuel, medicine, weapons, and emergency points.

People were encouraged to exchange currency into survival credits. A new economy was quietly being born.

From the research labs, more updates:

New heat- and cold-resistant seeds had been developed. They were already being distributed to major farming zones.

Animals and key crops were being placed in artificial greenhouse habitats. Stabilization was progressing.

The Weapons Bureau had also grown significantly wealthier—thanks to their mysterious middleman with purple eyes.

He reported being saved by someone unknown—someone who told him:

"Go home. You have five months."

He'd reported it immediately to authorities, but under questioning he shook his head.

"I couldn't see their face. It was too dark… and I'd been imprisoned too long. But I know they saved me—for the sake of the kingdom."

Silence settled in the meeting room again.

All eyes went back to the paused frame on the screen—

An alien wizard with a drawn-on "3".
