Chapter 68 - Chapter 58: The Path Forward Begins

After completing her scheduled training and exercises, it was finally dinner time. Han Yue and Shadow 8 went to the dining hall to eat. Once finished, she quietly went to his room and placed five gift boxes filled with snacks—souvenirs from Wizard Park and treats from various countries—on his desk.

Then, without lingering, she returned to the training site for another round. Shadow 3 arrived shortly after to retrieve the spiritual water she mentioned earlier. Han Yue handed him twenty bottles and reminded him seriously, "Stay near the restroom."

He gave a stiff nod, then left with Shadow 8, leaving Han Yue alone to continue her regimen. She was instructed to complete three full sets of exercises until 10 p.m., and one of the assistant coaches was assigned to monitor her performance and record her progress.

By the time she finished, it was already past 10. She returned to her dorm, took a shower, and went to bed—but she wasn't sleepy just yet. Instead, she entered her space.

Inside, she used her spiritual power to operate the automated harvesters. She harvested the ripe wheat and grains, picked fresh fruits and vegetables, then replanted the seeds. It was a cycle she'd repeated countless times.

Unknowingly, this routine had strengthened her spiritual core. When she was abroad, she had used her powers to manipulate forests, volcanoes, terrain, mountains, sea water, and even wild beasts—treating it all as a game. Only now did she realize it had given her a terrifying level of mastery and control.

After tending to her crops, she restocked the automated feeders for her breeding animals and tossed some rabbits, chickens, and ducks into the mountainous and sandy zones to feed the wild beasts she had hoarded before. Keeping them fed helped prevent them from attacking each other.

Finally, she visited her small ancient courtyard. Her babies were rolling around in the garden—her bunny and two cats playing happily. She fed them snacks, cuddled with them, and played for a while before settling down to sleep inside the space.

Meanwhile, at Long Yi's base...

After receiving the twenty bottles of spiritual water, Long Yi summoned each Shadow Leader from 1 to 8. "Take one bottle each, return to your rooms, clean up, and allocate the rest to your teams as needed," he ordered.

Once they left, Long Yi sat at his desk while Secretary Wen read out Shadow 3's report on Han Yue's performance.

"She has exceeded both human and awakener expectations," Wen recited. "She can carry 100kg, run 10 laps, passed force-field training at level 5, supernatural power practice, and agility and speed training up to Level 10—reaching electric bolt tier. Shadow 3 recommends advancing her to Stage 2 tomorrow. There's no need to treat her like those untrained rookies. She's different—she has experience from a past life."

Long Yi nodded. "Transfer her to Rank 9 tomorrow, and double her quota."

"Understood," Secretary Wen replied, recording the updated rank log. From Rank 10 to Rank 9 in just one day—an outstanding performance. Even Wen was surprised by how fast she progressed.

An hour later, the Shadow Leaders returned to report. One by one, they demonstrated their awakened supernatural powers:

Shadow 1: Spiritual Perception (same as Han Yue)

Shadow 2: Wind

Shadow 3: Gravity

Shadow 4: Water

Shadow 5: Wood

Shadow 6: Beastmaster (as Han Yue stated before)

Shadow 7: Earth

Shadow 8: Fire (as Han Yue stated before)

Long Yi was visibly impressed. Every single one of his elite guards had awakened.

"Good," he said. "Starting tomorrow, go to the training site and focus on strengthening your abilities. If needed, ask Han Yue to guide you—she knows more than anyone."

"Also," he added, "distribute the spiritual water to your own teams tonight and bring them to training."

Secretary Wen carefully recorded their awakened powers and issued training orders. The secured training site was only two hours away, hidden within a cave network—safe and equipped for supernatural practice.

Once everyone was dismissed, Long Yi leaned back, contemplating if he should go train as well.

But let's be honest—if anyone overheard that thought, they'd just laugh: "What a convenient excuse to visit your little wife, huh?"

Elsewhere, at Colonel Long's base, after Long Yi returned earlier that day, he had given Colonel Long the storage ring to try. Once bound with blood, it activated—revealing a static space as large as five football fields.

Delighted, Colonel Long immediately ordered all soldiers to fish, process, and dry food in massive batches. With the ring, he could store all of it securely.

At last, they had a sustainable food supply. He let out a deep sigh of relief.

In the wider world, the situation was accelerating.

The Dragon Kingdom's central command was working at full capacity. Smartwatch production was in full swing. Most bank savings had been converted to digital credits. Some people still refused to adapt, but they would be left behind.

Jobs and resource posts were being added daily.

Natural disasters continued—this week brought five days of no night. Panic spread. "The end of the world" began trending online again.

People searched for signs from the "Alien Wizard." Some begged for another prophecy.

Hoarding began anew.

Other countries began stockpiling, preparing in silence. For five months, disasters had struck one after another. Now, even skeptics started to waver.

The Dragon Kingdom's coastal regions had been evacuated. Crops were harvested and replanted again. Bases were now 90% completed, with the last 10% left for expansion.

Citizens were given the freedom to stay home—but many Wizard fans and apocalypse believers rushed into the safety of the bases. They didn't care what others said. Some left their families behind.

"Home is safer!" their parents cried.

But these young fanatics—armed with belief and instinct—walked away without looking back.

They believed in the alien wizard's prophecy. They were ready.

And so, the countdown continued.

Part 2 – Yueyue's Hell Training & Power Lessons

The next day, Han Yue woke up at 4:30 AM and got ready for her new schedule. Her training was set to start at 5:00 AM sharp. Heading into the dining area for breakfast, she was surprised to see Shadow Leaders 1 to 8 already eating.

Shadow 8 waved excitedly, motioning for her to sit beside him, his grin wide and goofy. Han Yue raised an eyebrow, grabbed her food, and sat down calmly with them.

With crumbs still stuck to his face, Shadow 8 proudly declared, "I've finally awakened!!!! From now on, we'll train together, hehehe~!"

Han Yue twitched slightly. In her past life, she had suffered through his endless chatter every day. Now in this life, it was starting even earlier. She pouted.

Shadow 1 glanced at her and said dryly, "Just close your senses using your spiritual powers. I tried it last night, and it worked."

The rest of the shadow leaders turned their heads in disbelief. That's right—last night, Shadow 8 had gone room to room, harassing them, bragging about his newly awakened fire powers. Meanwhile, this bastard Shadow 1 had figured out how to mute him!?

"Damn, that's so unfair!" one of them muttered.

Han Yue was just about to try the technique herself when she noticed Shadow 8 staring at her with the eyes of a sad puppy—while still chewing on a pancake. She sighed and muttered, "Okay, okay. Don't worry, I won't block you out… unless it's bedtime."

Shadow 8 beamed instantly and continued yapping.

He told her how fans online were begging for another episode of the Alien Wizard Prophecy, how some countries had finally started hoarding supplies after realizing a natural disaster had occurred every month for the last five months. "If only they believed the Alien Wizard earlier—hmph!" he grumbled as he chomped down on a sausage sandwich.

Han Yue just nodded along while sipping her soup.

Shadow 3 then spoke up. "Miss Han Yue, this afternoon during your Supernatural Power Class, you'll be assigned to teach us how to optimize and utilize our powers better."

"Okay," Han Yue replied with a nod.

After breakfast, she was about to head to the training field when Shadow 3 stopped her.

"Based on your performance, you've been promoted to Rank 9," he said. "Rank 9 is harder than Rank 10."

He handed her a new schedule. From now on, her jogs would be done with a 150kg weighted backpack, and she would be running obstacle courses. She was no longer training with the kids.

At the obstacle field, she saw trenches, slopes, spikes, crawl pits, and more. She started jogging, slow at first, still sore from yesterday. But as she warmed up, her pace increased. She finished all ten rounds, sweating but determined.

Next was Energy Force Weight Training, but this time she had to duck walk while carrying the 150kg weight—under Level 7 gravity force. At first, she couldn't move, but then her body adjusted, and she began waddling painfully around the room for 30 minutes. After a 5-minute break, she continued.

After that, it was the Supernatural Power Field. This time she wore 50kg wrist and ankle weights. She attacked metal blocks, hit moving targets, and practiced combat. Lastly, she faced the Agility & Speed Room, set at Level 15.

She wasn't allowed to use AOE attacks—only dodging, defending, and single-target counters. She struggled at first, but managed to counterattack eventually. At Level 20, she created a five-layered ice shield to protect herself. Shadow 3 was impressed and noted her performance.

"You'll repeat this training routine three times a day, until 10 PM," he said bluntly.

After lunch, she returned to training, now with the weights strapped to her full-time. Then it was time to teach the Shadow Leaders.

Han Yue stood at the center of the field and began her Supernatural Power Demonstration.

Using her ice ability, she showed:

Ice balls

Ice rain

Ice spikes

Ice mist

Ice shields

"These are smaller versions and cost less energy," she explained. "But for big AOE attacks, you have to focus your energy on one spell."

She raised a growing giant ice ball over her head until it was the size of a bathtub and launched it at a row of metal blocks.

BOOM.Metal blocks flew, some flattened completely.

She repeated the spell with a small version, which only caused minor impact—proving her point.

Then she demonstrated spiritual power by lifting scattered metal blocks with her mind and stacking them like Jenga pieces.

"At higher levels, you can manipulate objects like extra limbs. For now, use it for sensing or spying."

For wind users, she advised them to create lift under their feet to float or run faster, suffocate enemies, or stir up tornadoes.

Water users could manipulate moisture inside people with practice, form water shields, or pull water from the air.

Wood powers came in two types:

Planters: focus on growth and crops.

Attackers: can manipulate grass, vines, trees into weapons.

Fire was the most straightforward:

Fireballs, swords, shields, or even tornados of flame.

Gravity users could alter personal or environmental gravity to crush, float, or slow down enemies—like the Force Room but portable.

Earth – earth walls, houses, trenches, pits, quicksand, balls, spikes, traps.

Mutants, like Grandpa Long, had enhanced strength, speed, and senses. These abilities would scale with training.

Everyone jotted down notes diligently. Shadow 8, of course, said loudly, "I'll train with Yueyue!!!"

He began launching tennis-sized fireballs at target dummies, trying to hit different body parts. Shadow 7 also stayed and practiced making earth walls.

Han Yue quietly adjusted her wrist weights.

This life may be tougher… but at least she wasn't facing it alone anymore.
