Chapter 78 - Chapter 68: Double Trouble Road Trip

The next day, Han Yue woke up with a clear mind and a refreshed spirit. Talking things out with people who genuinely cared about her had lifted a heavy burden off her chest. They accept me no matter what, she thought. No longer suppressing herself, she practically skipped to the training site, humming along the way.

On her way, she ran into Shadow 8, who was jogging around the track field. Curious, she called out, "Hey, Shadow 8, how many laps do you have left?"

Shadow 8 turned to her with a miserable face. "Uhhh… it's lap 400 out of 2800 now..." he muttered, scratching his head.

Han Yue snorted at his tragic expression and walked away snickering. Good luck with that.

Feeling playful, she decided to visit Assistant Chen—her dear comrade and unofficial mission plug. Maybe he has something exciting lined up again!

Arriving at the admin hall, she spotted Assistant Chen at his desk, buried in mission files. Without asking, she plopped down beside him and started munching on chips.

Crunch... crunch... crunch...

Assistant Chen paused, finally lowering his documents to look at the chip-munching culprit beside him. "Do you want a mission again?"

Without waiting for her answer, he pulled open a drawer and slid two mission folders in front of her.

"You know me so well, comrade," Han Yue grinned and put the chips aside to look at the documents.

The first folder detailed a mission involving fishing and transporting seafood to City H Military Base. The second was a private escort mission to City H—a high-paying job.

Han Yue raised her brows. "Both are heading to City H. Can't we just combine them?"

Assistant Chen leaned back in his chair and replied, "In theory, yes. But the fish transport involves five to ten full fishing boat loads, and our people still need to fish them out from the sea. It's slow. Unless..."

He gave her a side glance.

Han Yue smirked. "Unless I do the fishing and store them in my space, huh?"

He didn't reply, but his expression confirmed it.

"The second mission?" she asked.

"Private escort. Client wants zero fish smell on the journey. Typical snobby rich type. But the reward is 30,000 points," Assistant Chen said as he casually reached for the leftover chips.

Han Yue frowned. "30k points for just an escort? I'm surprised it hasn't been taken."

"It hasn't," Chen replied, "because they demanded an awakened team, no fewer than two members. But most of our awakened fighters are tied up or flat-out uninterested in baby-sitting rich brats."

Han Yue narrowed her eyes. "So... who's the poor sap going with me?"

Assistant Chen grinned. "Shadow 8 volunteered. Said he'd go if you were."

Han Yue blinked. Of all the shadow guards, only an idiot like him would agree to this kind of mission...

Still, the idea of a road trip to City H stirred her excitement. Who knows what fun (or chaos) lay ahead?

"Fine. I'll take both."

Assistant Chen nodded, satisfied. "Good. The fishing team's already out at sea—three fishing boats are collecting as we speak. The City H military base wants the delivery ASAP. You can join them now to speed up the process using your... methods. Once that's done, you can head straight to the escort mission."

Part 2:

Assistant Chen nodded, satisfied. "Good. The fishing team is already out at sea—three boats are currently working. The City H military base expects the fish delivered within six days. You can join them now to speed up the process using your methods. Once you're done, return here so I can officially register you for both missions."

Han Yue nodded and stepped outside, where a guard was already waiting beside a car. He saluted and said, "I've been instructed to drive you to our fishing port."

Two hours later, they arrived at the seaside. Han Yue noticed right away—it was a private fishing port. Judging by the scale, it must have been built months ago to streamline resource collection from the ocean. A cruise ship was waiting for her at the dock, manned by a few guards assigned to assist.

She boarded the vessel and headed out toward the fishing boats. Once she stepped aboard the fishing boat, she extended her spiritual power to sense their progress—and was pleasantly surprised. The fish holds were already nearly full.

Wasting no time, Han Yue used her powers to draw more fish from the sea, rapidly replenishing the stock. The guards, who had seen her in action before during logging and wild herb collection, were no longer shocked. Instead, they smiled in relief.

"Ah… thankfully the female boss came. We don't have to work so hard anymore," some of them whispered, chuckling as they picked up their record logs. Each fishing boat could hold approximately 2,200 tons of fish.

Han Yue took a small megaphone and called out, "I'll max out your capacity. Record the totals accordingly. Let's finish this quickly."

Cheers erupted across the fishing boats.

She moved from vessel to vessel, filling their holds to full capacity. After confirming with her spiritual sense that each one was maxed out, she stored the fish into a designated area in her space. Then, she fished again, refilled the boats, and repeated the process—ten times in total.

By the tenth round, the fishing boat personnel reported they had recorded 22,000 tons of fish, the required amount for the mission. Han Yue nodded, satisfied. The boats resumed their normal fishing routines for base supplies, and she was driven back to shore.

On the way back, while resting, Han Yue decided to continue fishing for herself. With a playful smile, she used her spiritual power to gather another 10,000 tons of fish and stored it in a separate area of her space—reserving it for future trade or personal use.

Once she arrived back, Han Yue headed straight for lunch. She was hungry.

While she was eating, Shadow 8 plopped down beside her and grinned. "I'm so excited for our vacation road trip, Yueyue!"

Han Yue twitched her lips. "I knew it. You only accepted this escort mission to mess around."

Shadow 8 proudly puffed out his chest. "Hmph! I've been running laps all week for no reason. I deserve a vacation."

He dug into his food. "So, did you finish fishing?"

Han Yue nodded. "Yeah, just got back."

He leaned in, lowering his voice. "The rich snob we're escorting is a bit… much. If he tries anything inappropriate, just tell me, okay? I'll beat him up in his sleep. We gotta do it sneakily."

Han Yue smirked. "Alright, I'll leave it to you if he goes too far."

After lunch, the two made their way to the Admin Hall to report. Assistant Chen looked up from his paperwork and raised a brow. "That was fast—only a few hours?"

He reached out and had their smartwatches scanned.

"Good. You're now officially registered for the Transporting Mission and the Escort Mission."

Han yue checked the document again
