Chapter 2 - The Face in His Dreams

Kin Ouren was not just any ordinary Omega.

He was a globally celebrated pop singer, known for his haunting voice, unmatched beauty, and ethereal stage presence. With features like porcelain skin and sapphire eyes, Kin wasn't just a voice — he was a vision. His fame only grew when he stepped into the modeling world, turning every gaze in every room.

But despite all the lights and applause, his nights were far from peaceful.

Lately, every time Kin closed his eyes, he saw it—

a village burning… a courtyard bathed in blood…

and a man… a man with eyes that made him weep even in his dreams.

That man's name?

Banja.

In the twisted fragments of memory that came to him each night, Kin watched Banja being stabbed, again and again, his blood pooling over sacred ground.

And every time, Kin tried to stop it.

He screamed. He ran. He begged.

But he was always… too late.

And sometimes, even during his live concerts — when Kin stood under blinding lights with thousands of fans chanting his name —

he saw Banja's face in the crowd.

Eyes full of pain.

A voice whispering his name through silence.

> "Kin…"

The visions didn't stop.

They followed him backstage.

They echoed in dressing rooms.

They crept into his quiet moments, pulling him away from the life he had built.

His dreams were bleeding into his reality.

---

Shen Seizan, Kin's best friend, noticed the change.

As a Beta and a police officer, Shen believed in facts. Logic. Science.

But what he couldn't ignore was the growing exhaustion on Kin's face…

the quiet tears after every night…

and the way his voice trembled when he said that name—Banja.

One evening, Shen made a decision.

> "We're going to see a psychiatrist tomorrow,"

he said firmly, gripping Kin's cold hand across the dinner table.

Kin didn't protest.

He had tried—many times—to explain.

> "Shen… I'm not sick. I know how it sounds, but I remember things that never happened in this life.

That man... Banja… He was my husband. I loved him. In another life."

"I think I died with him. And now… I've come back."

Shen couldn't believe it.

He wanted to.

But how could he?

He told himself Kin was under pressure.

Overworked. Sleep-deprived. Maybe even depressed.

It made more sense than reincarnation.

Yet, deep inside…

Shen wondered —

how could a man who never believed in ghosts be so afraid of a dream?
