when school started, ethan stood in front of the gates, he was nervous and anxious and excited, but it was mostly anxiety, and so he went into the school and he walked through the hallway, walking left and right and getting more and more lost, then he bumped into a girl when he wasn't focusing.
the girl-"hey! watch where you're going idiot! ugh i swear, men will always zone out.... you new here?"
ethan-"sorry, yeah i'm new here, i'm ethan"
the girl-"ethan... an American name, ugh you better not be as stupid as them, anyways i'm minami"
ethan-"haha, no i'm not, anyways…. minami huh? nice name….."
ethan started to get anxious he doesn't talk to girls much, because hes an introvert, but hes trying his best to not appear like hes panicking, he wasn't good at hiding it though because minami noticed his face reddening and hes become slightly more fidgety
minami-"anyways, do you need direction to your class?"
ethan-"yes, thanks"
minami-"ok, what grade are you in"
ethan-"it was 10th grade"
minami-"same grade as me... there are two classrooms for 10th grade, a and b, which one are you in?"
ethan-"if i remember right i think its b"
minami-"same as me! ok then lets go together!"
ethan-"uh…..yeah…. sure"
minami head towards class while ethan followed next to her but doesn't get too close to not cause some trouble or misunderstanding (at least that what he's thinking), when they reached class, minami went to her seat, ethan tried to go to an empty seat but the teacher called him out and made him introduce himself, he tried to not appear nervous and it half-worked.
after school, ethan went out of the school gates, he was about to run home using his super speed but he stopped himself when he saw a strange black figure, he stared at it for a few seconds, then started approaching slowly, he was cautious too, ready to attack at any point, when he got close enough the figure suddenly had glowy red dots, he didn't understand what was happening so he got closer and closer, until he got really close, he saw a faint face but something was covering the figures face, making it tint black, just when ethan thought about leaving the figure punched ethan
ethan-"ow! what the hell?"
the figure-"this is getting boring so lets fight already"
ethan-"fight? why?"
the figure-"just cause, you know what ill kill you right now and here"
the figure started attacking, by punching and kicking and shooting some lasers here and there, it all caught ethan off guard, he was dodging and blocking at the last moment, making the hits scratch by him, though it did hurt, and so when ethan got an opening he punched the entity but he phased through it. he tried again but all he did was trip through it
ethan-"what the heck?!!"
the figure-"womp womp go cry about it, i'm ghost king, its in the name GHOST, you cannot defeat me at all, some have tried but all have failed"
ethan-"dont try to be an antagonist, they always lose"
ghost king mocked ethan by repeating what he said in a nerdy voice, but at that moment a red blur tackled ghost king and launched him away, ethan watched with confusion, and then the red blur settled and it revealed someone wearing a cool fiery demonic mask and wearing a red hoodie had the occasional fire on it
ethan-"i have no idea what's happening, so can i leave?"
the guy-"no, he wont let you"
ethan-"who is 'he'?"
the guy-"ghost king, right….. i'm the red reaper, i'm an ally, HE is ghost king, your 'dark side' as he claims"
ethan-"dark side? seriously? what is this guy? a stalker?"
the red reaper-"no…. he's much worse, he's a murderer, a psycho"
ethan-"great! i now have a psycho chasing me"
ghost king-"you think that will stop me? idiots! i am unstoppab-…"
the red reaper cut off ghost king by splashing lava at him, ghost king flew up and phased through the lava, and revealed his face, it was ethan's face, the red reaper didn't lie.
the red reaper-"see?"
ethan-"at this point there isnt anything that'll surprise me anymore, anyways you sound familiar, whats your name"
the red reaper-"i'm the red reaper, i told you"
ethan-"no, your real name"
the red reaper-"fine…. i'm john, your old friend"
ethan-"i know i said nothing will ever surprise me more but....HUH?!?"
john removed the mask revealing his face, he really was ethan's old bestfriend, they had a lot of fun together in the past but ethan had to travel. unbeknownst to both of them, minami was watching all of the talks and the battles, she left before anyone could notice, and both ethan and john talked a bit and then they both went home.
