Chapter 76 - 76: Kaeya’s Visit, New Manga Detective Conan

In the narrow alley where the Solace Book House stood,

a tall man with tanned skin and an eyepatch over his right eye finally arrived.

"So this is the Solace Book House? At last, I get the chance to come here."

Looking up at the plaque, Kaeya murmured to himself.

He was actually among the first group of people who had learned of this manga store. Lumine and Paimon had already mentioned it to them before. But as the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, Kaeya was constantly busy.

Especially in the past few days, with the Wind Dragon's rampage and the looming threat of the Fatui, every matter required extreme caution.

Thankfully, everything had finally been resolved.

Now, at last, he had time to see this so-called miraculous manga.

Just as he was about to step inside, his peripheral vision caught a familiar silhouette entering the alley.

He froze immediately.

"Well, I didn't expect you to show up here too—my dear brother!" Kaeya chuckled.

Indeed, that figure was none other than Diluc.

In Kaeya's impression, someone like Diluc would never be the type to come read manga.

"I need strength to avenge Father. And this shop… has the means to provide it."

Diluc's voice was cold and flat.

"Father, huh…"

Hearing him say this, Kaeya also fell silent.

This was a complicated matter.

Back then, their different stances had caused irreparable conflict between them.

But one thing they shared in common—

was the determination to avenge his father, Kaeya's foster father.

"Come on, let's go. The rewards from this shop are random. Hopefully, luck is on your side."

With that reminder, Diluc stepped inside first.

"How does he seem more familiar with this place than I am? Has he already been here before?"

Though puzzled, Kaeya quickly followed after.

"Welcome, Mr. Diluc, Mr. Kaeya."

Han Feng greeted with a faint smile.

"Good day, Boss Han."

Diluc's tone was surprisingly respectful.

This scene left Kaeya shocked.

His foster brother had always been proud and aloof.

He had become Captain of the Cavalry at just fourteen, and after their father's death, he left the Knights without hesitation.

But Kaeya had never seen him show such courtesy to anyone.

"As expected, this shopkeeper is no ordinary man," Kaeya thought.

"Boss, here's 100,000 Mora."

Having been here before, Diluc was familiar with the rules.

After setting down the money, he went straight to the bookshelf.

He had already read One Piece: East Blue Saga on his last visit.

The rest were mostly ordinary titles.

After some thought, he finally picked Digimon Adventure.

No way he was going to read Cardcaptor Sakura.

What dignity would the wealthiest man in Mondstadt have left then?

Meanwhile, seeing Diluc already settled, Kaeya stepped forward.

"Boss, I'd like to read too."

"One person, one manga per day, 100,000 Mora. Books are over there on the shelf."

Han Feng patiently repeated the rules again.

Almost every new guest required the same explanation.

"No, I really need to find a maid soon," he sighed inwardly.

Kaeya nodded. He had already heard about the rules from others.

It was odd, sure—but powerful people always had their quirks.

As for 100,000 Mora? That wasn't an issue for him.

After paying, he walked over to the bookshelf.

"Only four manga left, huh…"

He didn't linger too long before picking One Piece: East Blue Saga.

After all, Captain Jean and Barbara's powers had supposedly come from this book.

Especially Barbara's Ice-Ice Fruit ability—it was even stronger than his Cryo Vision, leaving him envious.

If he could gain something similar, it would be incredible.

From not far away, Diluc raised a brow at Kaeya's choice.

"I wonder what kind of reward he'll get. I received the Flame-Flame Fruit trial card… will he perhaps get the Ice-Ice Fruit?"

Once decided, Kaeya sat down with his copy.

Just then, Klee noticed him.

Her little face lit up with delight.

"Kaeya! You came too?"

"That's right. How's your manga—good?" Kaeya asked with a smile.

Jean had told him earlier that Klee had woken up extra early today just to read manga.

"Mhm, mhm! It's really fun! There's a super big dragon in here—just like the one in Mondstadt yesterday!"

Klee gestured with her hands as she spoke, looking utterly adorable.

"The one from yesterday? That three-headed dragon, right?"

Her words jogged Kaeya's memory.

Mondstadt had been thrown into panic by it, and he had to dispatch knights to calm the people.

"Yeah, yeah, that one!" Klee nodded vigorously. "But Kaeya, I'm not talking anymore, I'm going back to my manga!"

Kaeya chuckled. If it could captivate Klee this much, then it must indeed be worth reading.

With curiosity rising, he opened One Piece.

"To become the Pirate King? Now that's some ambition!"

"Wait—his body stretches like that?! Incredible!"

"Three swords? Zoro's using three swords at once?!"

"That man, Mihawk… way too strong! If I had that power, I could dominate with ease!"

The deeper the story went, the more Kaeya found himself engrossed.

"Business is good this morning—already four guests," Han Feng thought with satisfaction.

And just then, three more people stepped in.

Excitedly, they asked,

"Boss, is it true? You can get rewards from these manga? Like that Golden Fried Rice dish?"

At that, Han Feng instantly understood.

Clearly, they'd been lured here by last night's glowing fried rice.

"Everything you've heard is true. 100,000 Mora per person, one book per day," he said evenly.

"Got it, Boss!"

The three men paid without hesitation. As long as there were rewards, money was no problem.

They hurried to the bookshelf—only three manga remained, just enough for each of them.

"Ha! Cooking Master Boy really has the Golden Fried Rice! Miss Sara was right! I'll definitely gain incredible cooking skills!"

"Whoa, Sakura's so cute… but honestly, punching that face would feel amazing!"

"Eh? What are these eyes? They shine so brightly! Takanashi Rikka, huh? I'll remember you!"

Hearing their mutterings, Han Feng's expression turned odd.

Punching such a cute face? What savage words!

No wonder you don't have a little sister.

And that last guy—wasn't he himself a total chuunibyou?

Shaking his head, Han Feng ignored them and turned to his system panel.
