Seeing Razor laughing so happily, Bennett couldn't hold back anymore.
He wanted to read manga too!
After digging out a messy pile of 100,000 Mora from his pockets, Bennett looked pitifully at Han Feng.
"Boss, is there a manga that gives out better rewards?"
"They're all the same."
Han Feng shook his head.
The rewards had nothing to do with him—they depended entirely on the reader's luck.
That reminded him of Bennett's last reward.
"Right, what happened with that random skill card you got before? Did you use it?"
"I did…"
The moment Bennett mentioned it, his expression turned gloomy.
Such a precious card, and it ended up like that.
Why hadn't the Anemo Archon blessed him?!
After hearing the story, Han Feng was left speechless.
Good grief.
Out of all the incredible skills in the Digimon world, and you ended up with Patamon's Air Cannon?
Even a fireball would've been better!
After some thought, Han Feng said:
"Since you're an adventurer, I recommend you read Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. It might actually help you."
If he could learn a bit of Seiya Ryuuguuin's obsessive caution, maybe Bennett's adventures wouldn't end in disasters so often.
"Since Boss recommends it, it must be right!"
Bennett said with conviction.
In his eyes, Boss Han was an extraordinary figure who clearly knew about his terrible luck.
That meant the manga must be especially suited for him.
Grateful, Bennett eagerly ran to the shelf and grabbed the volume.
"Let's see what's so special about this manga."
Finding a seat, he flipped it open.
"Hiss! He bought three sets of armor just in case? So cautious?!"
"Wow! He's using a finishing move on a slime?!"
"Unreal. Even the enemies are cautious in this story. What an eye-opener."
Even after only a few pages, Bennett felt enlightened.
He'd become an adventurer just for the love of adventure,
but he'd never really thought about how to be one.
Now, he understood!
Be like Seiya.
Never act unless fully prepared.
Take slimes for example.
If he'd been cautious and attacked the first one immediately,
maybe it wouldn't have had the chance to grow into a giant monster.
"This is a great book! No wonder Boss said it suits me!"
Bennett's eyes sparkled like he'd found a priceless treasure.
He kept reading with renewed excitement.
Not long after, three more customers entered the store.
"Welcome, ladies."
Han Feng greeted them with a smile.
It was Jean, Barbara, and Lisa.
Three of his most loyal customers—they came nearly every day.
"Good afternoon, Boss Han!"
Barbara called cheerfully.
"Boss, look! Snowy evolved into a Meowth already."
She teased the little creature perched on her shoulder.
"Congrats. Looks like Gatomon isn't far off now."
Han Feng chuckled.
"All thanks to your advice, Boss. I pick flowers and fruit for her whenever I can."
Barbara beamed.
"Oh right, Boss, do you still have Yu-Gi-Oh!?"
"Yes, no one's picked it up yet."
Han Feng nodded.
"Perfect! I've been dreaming about getting a Duel Disk like Eula's."
She still remembered vividly when Eula summoned a Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
And she wanted to try dueling herself.
"You missed a good show then. This morning, Eula and Venti had an amazing duel."
"Really? Who won?"
Barbara asked eagerly.
"Klee. The two of them together weren't a match for her."
Han Feng laughed at the memory.
Fake monsters versus a real godly card—tragic.
"Klee?!"
Barbara blinked, confused.
Jean and Lisa, however, understood.
Klee had the god card—that explained everything.
"Never mind, I'll think about it later. First, the manga."
Barbara handed over a pouch of Mora and headed to the shelves like she knew the place by heart.
"Boss, here's mine and Lisa's Mora."
Jean stepped forward.
After a night of self-reflection, she'd finally calmed down about the couple keychains she'd been rewarded with.
Surely Boss Han hadn't meant anything by it—it was just her overthinking.
But Lisa's next words broke that fragile peace.
"Oh my, Boss Han, you gave our Jean matching couple charms? Does that mean something~?"
Lisa teased with a sly smile.
Barbara had told her last night, and Lisa was just as shocked.
What kind of reward was that?
And unlike others, she knew Jean's secret yearning for romance.
Of course, she knew Boss Han had nothing to do with the reward itself.
But seeing Jean flustered over it made teasing irresistible.
Han Feng narrowed his eyes and smirked.
"Actually, I find ladies like Miss Lisa more interesting."
He wasn't about to let Lisa's mature womanly charm steer the conversation.
If he played along, he'd be walking right into her trap.
"Tsk tsk, what an honor to have Boss Han's attention."
Lisa laughed lightly.
"So tell me—between me and Jean, who do you like more?"
"Only children make choices. Adults choose both."
Han Feng said smoothly from behind the counter.
With all his past-life knowledge, Lisa's banter was nothing to him.
"Lisa!"
Jean's cheeks flushed with frustration.
This conversation was getting out of hand.
"Fine, fine, I'll stop. Any further and someone might get angry."
Lisa said with a mischievous smile.
"Let's go."
Jean dragged her toward the shelves, unable to keep her composure.
"Hurry and pick something already."
She muttered, exasperated.
"Yes, yes, Captain Jean."
Lisa chuckled softly, scanning the spines of the books.
"Oh? This Detective Conan looks new. A fresh title? I'll take this one."
With her choice made, Lisa turned to find a seat—only to spot someone surprising.
"Razor? You're here too?"
"Eh?! Lisa… Master?!"
Razor stood up instantly when he saw her.
She'd once taught him about human knowledge, and he deeply respected her.
"No need to be so stiff here. Just enjoy the manga."
Lisa smiled warmly.
She'd planned to tell him about the manga shop eventually,
but it seemed fate had brought him here on his own.
"Got it!"
Razor nodded seriously.
Lisa smiled and sat across from him, opening her manga.
As she read, she quickly realized it was about a detective solving cases in a normal world.
"I didn't expect that just killing one person would require such a complicated setup…"
She sighed after finishing the first story.
In Teyvat, no one needed to be that elaborate.
They'd just strike directly.
But perhaps that was exactly what made the world of Conan so unique—its limitations.
As the story progressed, when Shinichi was forced to take the poison and turned into a child, Lisa was utterly shocked.
"Wait—this is supposed to be a normal world, and they have such a miraculous drug?!"
Even in Teyvat, with all its elemental powers, she'd never heard of a potion that could literally reverse aging.
Her interest in the mysterious APTX4869 was immediately piqued.
"If this kind of drug could be studied… how fascinating would that be?"
