Not only the Doctor, but everyone inside the shop was frozen in shock.
Just moments ago, when they saw that enormous blast of energy— like a massive cannon tearing through the sky— they had actually been worried for Boss Han.
After all, they had seen the power of those energy waves in the manga itself.
That region had been completely obliterated.
And this blast looked even stronger than the one before!
If it had been any of them taking that hit, they'd never have survived.
But Boss Han?
He'd just waved his hand lightly— and poof—it vanished?
Everyone's minds were in turmoil.
"So this is the power of the Imagine Breaker, huh? Not bad."
Han Feng smiled faintly as he looked at his right hand.
To everyone else, the Infinite Cannon was a terrifying, world-shaking attack.
But to him, it was nothing.
In fact, if he hadn't allowed it, the blast wouldn't even have entered the store in the first place.
After all, inside the manga shop, he was invincible.
Still, this time he hadn't relied on that protection.
He'd decided to test out a reward he hadn't used yet— the Imagine Breaker.
Since the Infinite Cannon wasn't a physical weapon but rather a surge of energy, it counted as an "ability" — and the Imagine Breaker was perfect for negating abilities like that.
Even if it hadn't worked, his system ensured he was always safe anyway.
The Doctor stood there, dumbfounded, watching Boss Han effortlessly dissolve his ultimate attack.
The three minutes on his experience card were up.
The twin cannons vanished from his body.
That blast just now had been his final shot.
And yet it had been swatted away as if it were nothing.
Now what?
Should he… run?
Han Feng was smiling at him, calm and amused— and that smile made Dottore's scalp crawl.
"Screw it! I'll risk it all!"
Seeing Boss Han wasn't attacking, he gritted his teeth and decided to make a desperate move.
If something went wrong, he'd retreat immediately.
In a flash, he bolted across the room, leaping toward the shelves.
With a sweep of his arm, he scooped up all the manga books he could grab.
"Hahaha! With these manga, I can get all the rewards I want!"
Seeing the books in his hands, his arrogance returned.
"Boss Han, till next time!"
He grinned triumphantly.
That'll teach you to underestimate me— the manga are mine now!
He activated his teleportation device.
A bright light flared around him.
"No! The Doctor's using a teleportation device!"
Ningguang exclaimed.
She'd read about such things in old Fatui intelligence reports— she hadn't expected him to possess one.
No wonder he'd had the confidence to rob this place!
But— why hadn't Boss Han stopped him?
Was this a mistake?
Yet what happened next left her utterly speechless.
The light faded— and Dottore was still standing there.
He hadn't gone anywhere.
"What… what just happened?"
Ningguang frowned.
By all logic, once activated, a teleportation device couldn't be interrupted.
Could it be… Boss Han?
Everyone in the shop reached the same conclusion.
They all looked at Dottore with pity.
So much for his grand escape.
He was finished.
"What's going on?! Why didn't it work?!"
Dottore's voice trembled.
He had considered every possible contingency— even if Boss Han attacked, even if he failed to steal the manga— but never this.
He had successfully taken the books… and yet, he couldn't teleport away.
"Could the device have malfunctioned?"
No, impossible!
He always inspected it carefully before every mission.
It shouldn't have failed.
But when he met Han Feng's smiling eyes— he understood.
"It was you…!"
Of course it was.
Only someone like him could have casually broken his teleportation.
"Don't stop smiling,"
Han Feng said softly, his grin widening.
"Go on—keep laughing. I'm watching."
He had wondered earlier where the Doctor's courage came from.
Robbing his shop?
That's why he hadn't interfered right away— he'd wanted to see how far the fool would go.
When he saw the teleportation light, he'd understood everything.
Ah, so that's your little escape trick, huh?
Since the man looked so pleased with himself, Han Feng had simply decided to make him a little happier— by freezing the teleportation mid-process.
Dottore: (⊙_⊙)
Boss Han, are you seriously playing games with me right now?
You could've stopped me anytime, but instead, you're just… toying with me?
Do you realize how ridiculous I look right now?!
I'm one of the Fatui Harbingers, for crying out loud— have some mercy on my dignity!
"Boss Han, I—"
He tried to speak, but before he could say another word, his voice stopped.
In fact— his entire body stopped.
He couldn't move, couldn't blink, couldn't even breathe properly.
A wave of cold terror flooded through him.
Since becoming a Harbinger, he hadn't felt fear like this in a very long time.
But he knew exactly what it meant.
Boss Han had stopped playing around.
He was about to settle the score.
Wait! No! You can keep playing! I don't mind!
His eyes screamed panic, begging for mercy.
But Han Feng's calm smile didn't change.
"Anyone who dares to challenge this manga shop," he said lightly, "shares the same fate— to vanish forever."
He'd let Dottore go this far just to see what nonsense he was up to.
Now that he knew, it was time to end it.
Under the horrified stares of everyone present, Dottore's entire form began to dissolve— fading into nothingness, until not even a speck remained.
As if he had never existed.
The shop fell silent.
Everyone looked at Boss Han— still smiling, as though nothing had happened— and a chill ran down their spines.
"When Boss Han smiles," someone whispered, "life and death hang by a thread…"
"Noelle was right," another murmured.
"He's terrifying when he smiles."
