Chapter 172 - Chapter 172: The New Manga Iron Kid Kabutoborg! The Harbinger Who Wants to Buy a Figure

"Here, give it a try!"

Han Feng handed over two tall glasses of lemon water.

"Thank you, Boss Han!"

Keqing accepted hers cheerfully.

Ganyu, however, hesitated for a moment.

Seeing this, Han Feng chuckled.

"Don't worry—there's no sugar in it.

It won't affect your figure."

He assumed Ganyu was concerned about gaining weight, hence her hesitation.

"Ah… thank you, Boss Han!"

Ganyu accepted the drink shyly.

That wasn't the reason she'd hesitated, of course— she just felt a bit awkward accepting the shopkeeper's hospitality on her very first visit.

But judging from Boss Han's tone… he did seem to know something about her embarrassing past.

And indeed, he did.

Back in the Archon War thousands of years ago, Ganyu had once become so chubby that she got stuck in a beast's throat— and that was how she managed to subdue it.

Just imagining that scene would make anyone laugh and cry at the same time.

Still, that kind of "glorious history" was something Ganyu would rather not be reminded of.

The two girls took sips of their lemon water.

Immediately, expressions of delight bloomed on their faces.

"So good! I didn't expect something as simple as lemon water to taste this amazing."

Keqing couldn't help but praise it.

Lemons did exist in Teyvat, but they were usually mixed with other fruits to make drinks— pure lemon water like this was a first for her.

Cool, crisp, and perfectly tangy.

"It really is delicious."

Ganyu smiled, nodding.

She enjoyed the light, refreshing sourness.

"The manga are on that shelf over there," Han Feng said.

"Each one costs 100,000 Mora, and you can only read one per day."

Ganyu nodded. She had already heard these rules from Keqing.

After paying, the two girls went over to the shelf.

Without much deliberation, Ganyu picked the book on the top— its title: Journey to the West.

As the two walked off to find seats, Han Feng turned his attention back to the system interface.

[Host: Han Feng]

[Available Manga:]

[Task 2]: Serve 100 customers → Receive exclusive reward

(Progress: 77/100)

"Nice! Time to draw a new manga again~"

Han Feng grinned.

It was still early in the afternoon, and he had already unlocked two new manga today.

Not bad at all!

Plus, with 77 customers served so far, he only needed 23 more to complete Task 2— meaning another exclusive reward was just around the corner.

He estimated he could finish it before the day ended.

The thought made his eyes gleam with anticipation.

"Alright, system—start the draw!"

[Drawing…]

[Manga Obtained: Iron Kid Kabutoborg!]

[Description:]

The "B-Series Robots"—Kabutoborg and his companions—strive daily to collect the 13 "Peace Stars",

which, when gathered, can grant the wish of all humankind.

However, several malfunctioning robots—Cockroach Bully, Shark Chili, Spider Detective, and Scorpion Leilei— constantly interfere and sabotage their mission.

Thus begins a series of battles of wit and courage over the Peace Stars!

In the end, through hard work and mutual understanding, they reconcile with their rivals and together protect the world!

"Looks like another special-type series."

Han Feng mused.

He'd had two similar ones before— Mr. Vampire and Runeterra.

Including this new one, these were all adaptations of films, games, or tokusatsu shows.

He figured more like them would appear in the future.

"Still, this was a childhood classic,"he said with a touch of nostalgia.

Back then, he'd only cared about watching Kabutoborg and Shark Chili, completely overlooking the rest.

Thinking about it now, he realized he'd missed quite a few gems— like that adorable rice-ball-loving girl.

In terms of power levels, the series wasn't on par with One Piece or Yu-Gi-Oh!, but it had one very special item:

The Peace Star.

A genuine Peace Star could attach to an object, enhancing its abilities— and could even grant a wish!

Now that was something extraordinary.

Even the fake Peace Stars, while lacking the wish-granting power, still had partial abilities similar to the real thing.

"If someone were to get a Peace Star as a reward… that would be interesting."

Han Feng smiled, then placed the new manga on the shelf.

Just then, the shop welcomed a new guest— a tall, lean man in a gray outfit.

His sleeves were rolled up, shirt slightly open to reveal toned abs, and a Hydro Vision glimmered at his belt.

"Well, well… didn't expect him to show up so soon,"

Han Feng thought, surprised.

"Looks like his instincts are sharper than the Lady's."

When he'd opened the Mondstadt branch, La Signora had come on the second day.

But Childe, the Eleventh Harbinger, had appeared at the Liyue branch on opening day.

His nose for opportunity was indeed impressive.

Childe, meanwhile, was glancing around curiously.

"Aside from being a bit empty and having a few special toys, this place doesn't look that strange…

So why did the Millelith mobilize?

And why are Keqing and Ganyu here too?"

He frowned slightly, scanning every corner of the store.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

In truth, he hadn't even known this shop existed— until he saw the Millelith moving in formation.

With the Rite of Descension approaching, any unusual activity was worth investigating.

Following them in secret, he'd discovered their destination was… a remote little bookstore.

That made him all the more suspicious.

"Could this place really be hiding something?"

When he then saw both Tianheng Star Keqing and Secretary Ganyu enter, his curiosity was confirmed.

If even those two busy figures had come, this was no ordinary shop.

So he slipped inside quietly after them.

But once he was in, disappointment crept in.

All he saw were books and some exquisitely made toys— nothing "magical" at all.

"Still… these toys are quite well-made."

He thought, eyeing the detailed figurines displayed around the shop.

"If the boss sells them, maybe I could buy one for Teucer…"

A small smile tugged at his lips.
