Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 Kelo’s Rage

"Enough!"

Kelo roared, and his demeanor suddenly changed.

The originally refined-looking butler instantly exuded a dangerous aura.

Immediately, Usopp and Nami, two of the cowardly trio, were so scared that they retreated repeatedly, hiding behind Luffy, Zoro, and the others.

Kaya, upon noticing Kelo's change, became incredulous and said,

"Clahadore, are you really… the pirate Kelo?"

When Kelo angrily interrupted them, he no longer intended to pretend.

At this moment, he instead sneered, pushed up his glasses with his palm, and said,

"Three years. I have endured for three years for this goal."

"For these three years, I have lived a life so disgusting it makes me nauseous every day, pretending to be a butler in front of you, this foolish young lady, a guise that sickens me."

Kaya's eyes immediately went blank, looking utterly incredulous upon hearing this.

To have the person she trusted most suddenly speak ill of her, and say that all the displays of trust were merely pretense.

No one could accept that.

"Kaya!"

Usopp called out worriedly, gathering his courage and rushing out to quickly pull Kaya behind Luffy, where she hid.

And at this moment, Kelo continued to speak angrily, one by one.

"Three days. Only three days, and I can achieve my goal."

"During a pirate attack, by using the accidental death of the owner of this villa, I will legitimately inherit the inheritance and live as an ordinary person."

...

"Villa owner…"

Usopp mumbled, then reacted, angrily poking his head out and asking,

"You, fellow, are you planning to kill Kaya in three days?"

Kelo sneered.

"That's right! Just like her parents' accidental deaths."

As soon as Kelo said this, Kaya's pupils constricted violently, and she cried out in shock and anger,

"Claha… Kelo, my parents…"

Kelo sneered again.

"That's right, I killed them all."

"You, this foolish young lady, have always regarded me, your enemy, as your most trusted person!"

"How pathetic!"

At this moment, Kaya was overwhelmed by the successive information, finding it hard to breathe. Her already weak body instantly collapsed, fainting into Nami's arms.

"Kaya!"

Usopp called out worriedly, then looked at Kelo in anger and roared,

"You bastard, I'm going to kill you."

With that, Usopp pulled out a slingshot from his bag, aimed at Kelo, and shot.

"Certain Kill: Gunpowder Star!"

A small black ball flew rapidly towards Kelo's face.

Just as it was about to hit Kelo, he suddenly raised his hand, and five sharp claws instantly popped out from the fingertips of his glove, sweeping forward.

Bang!

An explosion rang out, but Kelo was completely unharmed.

"Don't insult me, Kelo, with your toy!" Kelo roared in a low voice, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he looked at Luffy and the others.

Usopp instantly realized the disparity between them and once again hid.

Kelo spoke again.

"I'm the one who should be slaughtering everyone."

His gaze was fixed on Luffy.

"If it weren't for you, my identity wouldn't have been exposed. That foolish young lady would have willingly died for me."

"It's all because of you, because of you outsiders."

"Today, none of you will leave here alive."

As Kelo finished speaking, the sharp claws on his other hand were also unleashed.

He suddenly let his hands hang limply as if they had lost all sensation, and his body hunched over.

Seeing this, Nami suddenly remembered something and exclaimed, picking up the material she held.

"The material says that when Kelo transforms like this, he unleashes his strongest move, [Spoon], using [Silent Step] to launch indiscriminate attacks."

"We need to stop him quickly, Luffy!"

Luffy looked at Kelo, who was about to unleash his ultimate move, but chose not to interrupt him immediately. Instead, he said to Uta,

"Uta, release your ability."

He had only asked Uta to use her ability to expose Kelo's identity.

Now that his goal was achieved, there was no longer any meaning in maintaining the Music World.

Upon hearing this, Uta began to sing again.

In the blink of an eye, everyone present felt as if their bodies had suddenly lost control, a sensation of being drawn away.

After a brief daze, when they regained consciousness, they found themselves unconscious and lying on the ground at some unknown point.

"Huh?! How strange!"

Nami sat up from the ground, her eyes filled with confusion and surprise.

"Great, Uta's house is still there."

Usopp was still fixated on Kaya's living situation.

"What a terrifying ability."

Zoro couldn't help but sigh, instantly realizing that they had unconsciously fallen into Uta's ability just now, and in reality, their physical bodies were also in a state of unconsciousness, easily killable at any moment.

As for Kelo, he looked at Luffy with a gaze full of incomprehension and doubt.

"Why? Why didn't you kill me just now?"

Luffy chuckled at his words.

"Killing you is too simple. But just like you used Kaya, I'm keeping you alive for other purposes."

With that, Luffy said to the others,

"Zoro, he's yours. Everyone else, get out of here."

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately complied, and Kaya was also taken away.

Kelo, at this moment, also realized that Luffy intended to make him Zoro's sparring partner.

Instantly, his rage was thoroughly ignited.

"You... are unforgivable!"

Kelo roared in a low voice and immediately entered a combat stance, appearing ready to unleash [Spoon].

Combat is the fastest way to improve one's strength.

Therefore, even if Luffy could have had Uta directly kill Kelo's physical body just now, or if he himself could have instantly killed Kelo, he did not do so.

He valued Kelo's incredibly fast and silent attack style.

For Zoro, this would be an extremely suitable training opponent at his current stage.

Luffy then used Enlightenment Conduction to grant Zoro the ability of Heaven-Defying Enlightenment, allowing him to gain the maximum improvement in combat.

"Zoro, focus on applying your Haki. If you really can't dodge, then use your weapon to block."

Luffy reminded Zoro that this was also a good opportunity for Zoro to practice Observation Haki.

Zoro nodded solemnly at his words, then entered a state of full combat.

The next second.

Kelo's figure suddenly disappeared, and Luffy simultaneously leaped back to the side.

Leaving the battlefield to the two of them.

For Luffy, an opponent of Kelo's level no longer offered him any improvement, as they were simply not on the same level.

His current physique, after more than a decade of training, was already considered top-tier.

Now, the only thing he needed to improve was Haki.

And since he set sail, he had already encountered two events that could improve his Conqueror's Haki in a short time.

This number of times had already reached the number of events he could encounter in several years in Windmill Village.

Moreover, encountering different events and demonstrating different levels of resolve resulted in varying degrees of Conqueror's Haki improvement.

For example, the improvement he gained from helping the residents of Orange Town rebuild their homes was greater than the improvement he gained from preventing the Marine from causing trouble in Shells Town.

Therefore, even if Luffy didn't encounter suitable opponents, his strength was still growing rapidly.

...

"So strong!"

In the distance, Usopp and Nami couldn't help but exclaim as they watched Zoro and Kelo fight.

They couldn't even catch Kelo's movements.

But Zoro was able to dodge or use his weapon to block again and again amidst the dazzling attacks.

Watching the fierce battle between the two, Luffy also secretly sighed.

Indeed, in such extreme conditions, it is most stimulating for a person's potential to improve.

He could even clearly see Zoro's mastery of Observation Haki improving rapidly, and his combat ability continuously strengthening with it.
