These five stages represent the known transformations a soul may undergo when tethered too long to the mortal world. Each stage becomes increasingly dangerous. To deal with this growing threat, Grim Reapers are tasked with a sacred responsibility: to locate these spirits, uncover their stories, and guide them to peace—or, if necessary, destroy what they've become.

Roaming Spirit (Low Threat) –
A peaceful soul who has recently died and lingers in the mortal world. Often confused or unaware that they've passed on, these spirits wander familiar places they loved in life. They're not dangerous, but their presence can bring cold spots, flickering lights, or sudden feelings of sadness or nostalgia. They usually vanish after their final wish is fulfilled—or if guided gently by Grim Reapers.
Vengeful Spirit(Moderate Threat) –
A soul consumed by strong emotions—rage, sorrow, betrayal, or guilt. These spirits refuse to move on because they died unjustly or were deeply wronged. They can lash out violently, cause poltergeist activity, or appear as twisted versions of themselves. Some are desperate to be heard; others seek revenge.
Corrupted Spirit (High Threat) –
A vengeful spirit that has been twisted by curses, forbidden magic, or prolonged suffering. It begins to gain enormous power and forget who it once was, becoming something else—something darker. Its appearance becomes grotesque, and its aura radiates dread. It can spread corruption to nearby spirits, people, or even objects, turning peaceful places into haunted danger zones. Unlike a common vengeful spirit, these entities—are nearly impossible to guide to the other side.
Wraith(Severe Threat) –
A fully transformed spirit of agony—no longer human in mind or memory, they can no longer be helped to cross to the other side. Wraiths haunt battlefields, forgotten ruins, or any place soaked in sorrow and death. They draw strength from fear, feeding off the terror of the living like a parasite on pain. Shrouded in ethereal darkness, they drift silently until it's too late. Wraiths possess terrifying powers—screams that paralyze, shadows that choke, and illusions that twist reality. Even Grim Reapers struggle to eliminate them, for a Wraith is not easily destroyed—only severed from the anguish that anchors it.
Soul Eater(Extreme Threat) –
A monstrous, conscious entity born from consuming the essence of countless other spirits. Unlike others, it grows stronger with every soul it devours—be it spirit, human, or even divine. It hunts intelligent prey, manipulates its surroundings, and often lures victims with false memories or illusions. Its form is ever-shifting—a shadow that wears different faces. Soul Eaters are considered omens because they possess deadly powers of disaster and are top-priority threats to Reaper forces.
