When the Ten-Tails fully manifested, the Konoha shinobi felt as if they were being strangled by an invisible force. Their faces turned grave, their eyes filled with a primal terror. Hearts hammered against ribs, threatening to burst free, and every breath became a struggle.
In their perception, the Ten-Tails was a being of absolute, terrifying power. Its aura washed over them like a violent storm, making their very souls tremble. The pressure it exerted was as horrifying as Madara's at his peak, inducing a profound sense of despair. They couldn't understand how such a monster could emerge from Madara's body after his death. Kagami had not shared this information with them, so they were completely unaware of the Ten-Tails' existence.
But with Kagami present, they did not panic. His presence was a pillar of confidence. They believed that no matter how terrifying this monster was, it would be no match for him. Still, they could not ignore the suffocating pressure it exuded. It felt as if the entire world had grown heavy, pressing down on them.
The Ten-Tails' massive form slowly took shape in the darkness, its sheer size seeming to blot out the sky. Every part of its grotesque body pulsed with a sickening light. Its single, colossal eye was like a huge ball of fire, burning with a blood-red light that promised to tear the world asunder.
Looking at the reborn beast, Kagami's brows furrowed, a flicker of hesitation in his eyes. With his current pupil power, he could only temporarily control it. Forcibly becoming its Jinchuriki now would likely result in an imperfect sealing, leaving him vulnerable to its influence. He could also choose to transplant Madara's Rinnegan to suppress it, but he felt that was unnecessary.
While becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki would grant him a massive boost in strength and chakra, he was reluctant to seal such a monster inside himself. If he had no other means of growing stronger, he might consider it. But he had his system. As long as he had children, his power could grow infinitely, so the desire to become a Jinchuriki was minimal. He might eat the fruit of the God Tree, but he would rather not become a vessel.
After a moment of thought, Kagami decided to simply seal the Ten-Tails for now. While he didn't want to become its host, he certainly wasn't going to leave it for someone else. The Ten-Tails was still an incredibly powerful entity, a super Kage-level threat on its own. It also possessed a vast amount of chakra that could be used to continuously produce White Zetsu for research or as a future energy source.
With his decision made, Kagami quickly stored Madara's Rinnegan. In a flash, he created several shadow clones, each radiating a chakra signature as powerful as his own. They swiftly surrounded the struggling Ten-Tails as Kagami's main body opened his eyes, the dazzling pattern of his Sharingan spinning with breathtaking light. The clones' eyes mirrored his, and together, they cast a powerful, multi-layered illusion that briefly subdued the beast.
Immediately after, Kagami's hands flew through a series of seals. Several sealing tags, glowing with the intricate pattern of the Eight Trigrams, shot out and wrapped around the immobilized Ten-Tails like chains. Each talisman contained an immense sealing power, weaving together to form an indestructible net that bound the creature's massive body, rendering it completely immobile. Only when the Ten-Tails was utterly sealed did Kagami stop.
The surviving Konoha shinobi let out a collective sigh of relief. The Ten-Tails' aura had been terrifying; they knew they were no match for it. They quickly ran toward Kagami.
"Lord Kagami, are you alright?" one of them asked, their voice filled with awe and admiration.
"I'm fine," Kagami nodded, "just a little exhausted." Then, he suddenly remembered something. His sharp eyes scanned the smoking ruins of the battlefield. After a moment of searching, he found Obito's body wedged in the cracks of a pile of rubble. He lay there quietly, his body ravaged by the battle's aftermath, his face as pale as paper with a trace of dried blood at the corner of his mouth. With his limbs shattered and his Kamui sealed, he had stood no chance. Fortunately, his Sharingan were undamaged.
Seeing Obito dead, Kagami could only sigh. He had planned to keep him alive, to let him witness Rin becoming pregnant with his child as a final, cruel revenge for his role in the Uchiha clan massacre. But now, that plan was moot.
"You got off easy," Kagami cursed under his breath. He flashed to the body, removed the mask, and carefully extracted Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan. To Kagami, Kamui was far more useful than Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi. Even just as a portable storage dimension, it was an invaluable tool for any transmigrator. And the thought of combining his own infinite void defense with Kamui's intangibility was intoxicating. His survivability and attack options would be on a whole new level.
He decided not to absorb the power from Obito's eyes. Instead, once his own had evolved into the Eternal Mangekyo, he would replace the now-draining Itachi eyes with these. If he could find a way to evolve Obito's eyes as well, he would have a permanent, kamui.
The Ten-Tails was too large for a standard sealing scroll, so he needed the Kamui dimension now. A few uses wouldn't be enough to blind the eye. He performed another quick transplant, swapping Itachi's eye for Obito's. He then sealed Obito's other eye away and stored the body in the Kamui dimension; having fused with Hashirama's cells, it might have some research value.
Next, he returned to Madara's body, a complex mix of respect and regret in his eyes. He stored Madara's body in the Kamui space as well. It was safer in his hands. He doubted Madara's soul survived an encounter with the Sage, but it was better to be cautious. Besides, Madara's Six Paths-level body was also a priceless research specimen. It might help Orochimaru perfect the process of fusing Hashirama's cells, which could in turn help Kagami awaken his own Rinnegan. Plus, absorbing the power from Madara's Rinnegan might lead to an even more powerful evolution for his own eyes.
Thinking of this, Kagami couldn't help but smile. He had revealed many of his trump cards, but the gains were immense. With the Sage's clone destroyed, he would likely have a long period of peace to develop his strength. Suzune and the others were pregnant; in ten months, he would have at least six more children. Another powerful character template draw was almost guaranteed. Tsunade's rating was much higher than Suzune's; he might even draw a template as strong as, or stronger than, Ryomen Sukuna. The thought filled him with eager anticipation.
