"I will construct a new experimental base for you in a secure location. For now, you will return with me to Konoha," Kagami said, looking at Orochimaru. He planned to build the new facility within the Kamui dimension, allowing him to monitor Orochimaru's research progress at any time. It was also the safest possible location, free from any external threats.
"Yes, Sir Kagami," Orochimaru replied, offering no objections.
Kagami then gave one of Obito's Sharingan to Orochimaru, instructing him to implant it into a small snake. He hadn't yet finished absorbing the power from Itachi's eyes, so this was a temporary measure to allow Orochimaru access to the Kamui dimension. Orochimaru then summoned his subordinates and, along with all the equipment from the base, moved everything into the pocket dimension.
After everything was packed, Kagami smiled with satisfaction. With Orochimaru on his side, he was confident that Konoha's technological capabilities would advance rapidly. If he was to unify the ninja world, technology was an indispensable element. A ninja's strength has its limits, but the potential of technology is limitless. Once Orochimaru developed modern weapons like airplanes, tanks, and nuclear bombs, wouldn't unifying the world be a simple matter?
A flash of light later, Kagami and Orochimaru reappeared in Konoha. Without delay, Kagami went to Shikaku Nara and informed him of his plans for the new laboratory. "Shikaku, I need you to assemble a team to construct a large-scale laboratory inside the Kamui dimension," Kagami's unquestionable voice commanded. Shikaku nodded and immediately summoned a group of architects and craftsmen to begin the work.
Inside the Kamui dimension, Kagami found Orochimaru observing the sealed Ten-Tails. He began explaining the principles of modern weaponry from his past life. As he spoke, Orochimaru's eyes lit up with a feverish glow.
"Orochimaru, you must manufacture these weapons as soon as possible. They are crucial for our future unification of the ninja world," Kagami said solemnly. While ninjas were powerful, a machine gun could allow a civilian to kill a Chunin, and even a Jonin could fall to a stray bullet if they were careless.
Although he had killed most of the shinobi from the other four great nations, the actual military strength of those countries hadn't been significantly diminished. Konoha's remaining forces were too few to fight the entire world. While he could single-handedly conquer them, he couldn't do everything himself, nor could he simply kill everyone. Rapidly increasing the number of Konoha's shinobi was impossible, but equipping them with modern weapons was a viable shortcut to vastly improving their combat effectiveness.
Orochimaru nodded, though he hesitated. "The machine guns, Gatling guns, and tanks... I should be able to produce them within three months. But the 'nuclear bomb' you mentioned... that may not be possible to research in a short time." After all, Kagami had only provided the basic principles.
"It doesn't matter," Kagami replied. "As long as you can produce the machine guns and Gatling guns, it will be enough." He knew a nuclear bomb was an unrealistic short-term goal. With enough heavy firepower, Konoha could handle the remaining armies of the other nations.
Orochimaru breathed a sigh of relief. "Do your job well," Kagami continued, offering a powerful incentive. "After you develop these weapons, I will give you a pair of Rinnegan to study."
"Yes, sir! I will develop the weapons as soon as possible!" Orochimaru's eyes lit up at the prospect of studying the legendary eyes. Kagami nodded and left the Kamui dimension.
A week passed quickly. Three days ago, Kagami had held a wedding for Konan, and thanks to his tireless efforts, she was already pregnant with his child. He hadn't neglected his other wives either, often cooking for them and spending time with them.
One day, as Kagami was enjoying a rare moment of leisure in his courtyard, he felt the activation of a Flying Thunder God mark. He stood up immediately, a flicker of excitement in his eyes.
'Have they finally found Black Zetsu?'
After finding Orochimaru, there had been no news of Black Zetsu until today. Once he found him, he just needed to get the method for traveling to the moon. With his current strength, it would only be a matter of time before he could break the seal and rescue Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Kaguya was very likely the highest-rated female character in this world. The child they could have together would surely possess a template far exceeding Sukuna's power. While he was no longer actively seeking out other women, the temptation of such a powerful offspring was too great to resist.
Without hesitation, Kagami activated the Flying Thunder God and vanished.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Black Zetsu lay dejectedly on a patch of grass, his eyes filled with confusion and despair. He had fled when the Sage of Six Paths appeared, but after calming down, he had crept back to the Hidden Rain Village, only to witness Kagami kill the Sage and receive Madara's Rinnegan.
He was glad the Sage was dead, but with Madara and Obito gone and the Ten-Tails and Rinnegan in Kagami's hands, his plan to save his mother was in ruins. He was powerless to take them back. After a thousand years of scheming, he had been on the verge of success, only for it all to fall apart.
But Black Zetsu was not one to give up. He decided he would simply hide and wait for Kagami to die before resuming his plan. He had waited a thousand years; what was another thousand? He would never give up on rescuing his mother.
His eyes hardened with resolve. He stood up, ready to find a new hiding place. But at that moment, a White Zetsu emerged from the trees behind him. Then, a figure suddenly materialized beside it.
It was Kagami.
