Chapter 122 - Ch 122

Though the progress was slow, Kagami wasn't disappointed. This was equivalent to parsing the rules of reality itself. The fact that it was even possible was incredible; he had no right to complain about the speed. Of course, this was also because the algorithm he had designed wasn't powerful enough. No matter how much computing power one has, it's useless without an efficient algorithm to guide it.

Kagami only increased the analysis progress to 0.002% before stopping. He was about to be completely drained of energy again. He hadn't expected that while using Mahoraga as an external brain solved the problem of emotional loss, the energy problem remained. The more computing power Mahoraga called upon, the more energy he needed to maintain the Brain-Brain Fruit's ability. Just that tiny bit of progress had almost reduced him to skin and bones again.

"It seems I still need to solve the external energy problem as soon as possible," he thought with a bitter, helpless smile. "Furthermore, in addition to energy, I also need to design a more efficient algorithm and a command execution terminal." Currently, every process required his subjective control. If he could create a set of automatically running command terminals, he would only need to issue a command, and the "Mahoraga computer" would execute it automatically.

"To think, I came up with such a brilliant idea just to be lazy," Kagami smiled heartlessly. "It turns out that laziness truly is the mother of invention." He then absorbed the energy of more than a dozen clones, restoring his body once again.

"If I didn't have the powerful vitality from my demon bloodline, anyone else would have killed themselves playing around like this," he sighed. He then activated the Flying Thunder God and teleported back to Konoha.

After returning, Kagami didn't go straight back to the palace. Instead, he sent ten clones into the Kamui dimension, tasking them with quickly creating a large-scale infinite energy source as a backup. He discovered that, perhaps due to the Brain-Brain Fruit's influence, these new clones could share information with him in real-time over long distances. He had originally planned to leave Mahoraga with a clone to act as a supercomputer, but with this new ability, it didn't matter how far away the clone was; it could still call upon Mahoraga's analytical power. So, he kept the shikigami by his side.

After sending the clones away, Kagami frowned, feeling a wave of exhaustion. "It seems I need to develop Wood Style as soon as possible," he thought. "Otherwise, I'll die from the cumulative fatigue of the shadow clones sooner or later." The fatigue and pain from a disappearing shadow clone were transferred back to the original body. He had already recalled more than thirty clones today, and even with his demonic vitality, he felt tired.

Wood clones, however, didn't have this drawback. Though he had been studying Kekkei Genkai for a year and had made significant progress, he still hadn't learned Wood Style. It wasn't a simple bloodline limit but a Kekkei Tota, requiring a combination of water, earth, and Yang Release chakra. He had only recently learned Yin-Yang Release and had just begun to experiment with creating Wood Style.

"However, now that I have Mahoraga, couldn't I just have Yamato poke it with Wood Style and let it analyze the technique?" Thinking of this, he decided to go find Yamato. It would be much faster than having his clones endlessly experiment with chakra ratios. For Mahoraga, it would only take a few minutes.

"Let's see, where would Yamato be now?" Since reforming the Konoha ninja system, Yamato's Wood Style had proven very useful for agriculture and greening projects, so Kagami had appointed him the Minister of Greening and Agriculture. He worked in different places almost every day.

"I'll just ask Shikaku." Unable to remember Yamato's daily schedule, Kagami decided to head to the Hokage Building. He walked through the busy streets, grabbing some fried chicken and a hamburger along the way, and ate as he walked toward the 150-story building. The food was another one of his clone's bored inventions. The ninja world was a culinary desert, so he had his clones research and introduce a variety of dishes from his past life. Now, at least two-thirds of the restaurants in Konoha were his, and business was booming.

After filling his stomach, Kagami walked briskly through the corridors of the Hokage Building and stopped at the door of the top-floor lounge. Pushing it open gently, he saw Shikaku Nara and Hiashi Hyuga sitting across from each other, a shogi board between them, both frowning in concentration. Kagami didn't mind them slacking off occasionally, but as their boss, he couldn't resist scaring them a little. He cleared his throat mysteriously.

"Ahem..."

Startled by the sudden sound, Shikaku and Hiashi almost dropped their game pieces. Seeing it was Kagami, they immediately looked guilty and laughed nervously. "Lord Kagami, what brings you to the Hokage Building so suddenly?" Being caught slacking off by their boss made them feel a little insecure.

A playful smile touched Kagami's lips. "Shikaku, where is Yamato working today?"

Seeing that Kagami wasn't going to press the issue of their slacking, the two men breathed a sigh of relief. Shikaku quickly pulled out a work schedule. After flipping through it, he replied, "Yamato's shift is at the Ministry of Agriculture today. He should still be planting rice in the paddy fields."

"Okay, I understand," Kagami nodded, then turned to leave. As he stepped out, he suddenly turned back. "Remember, this won't happen again." Then, he strode away, leaving Shikaku and Hiashi to look at each other with bitter smiles.
