"Go over there and kiss him."
Seraphina uttered, pointing at the space close to Dorian's head.
For a brief second, Maria froze up, her widened eyes slowly drifting towards Dorian's face. She could see how his lips were slowly parted, as if struggling to suck in the little oxygen he could manage into his lungs.
Her breath began to speed up, her cheeks turning red at the very idea of what Seraphina had suggested for her to do.
It didn't take long for her to imagine herself doing it. Imagine having her lips pressed against Dorian's.
"K-kiss… ki-iss?" Maria stammered continuously, all while her shaky hands were moving towards her sword strapped to her waist.
"Hurry up! And why are you reaching for your sword?" Seraphina pointed aggressively.
For some reason, that immediately snapped Maria back into reality. She gasped slightly in shock when she realized her hand was now gripping the hilt of her sword, something she had no idea she was doing.
