"Would you like to get married to my son?"
Stella's words hung in the air.
Maria and Seraphina glanced at each other, one with growing excitement and the other with wide-eyed surprise, still trying to process what was happening.
It didn't take long for Seraphina to act. She placed both her hands on her thighs and bowed her head respectfully.
"Yes, my lady. It would be my honor. Nothing else could make me happier!"
Seeing this, Stella smiled. She liked how straightforward Seraphina was.
As a wife, she knew Seraphina wouldn't hesitate to spoil her son. Slowly, she moved her gaze from the black-haired beauty and towards Maria.
The moment her gaze landed on the knight, however, a look of surprise played on Stella's face.
She saw a single, glistening tear escape from Maria's eye.
Is she crying? Maria?
Stella could barely believe it. Maria, who was known to never show her emotions, was crying in front of her.
