The Beast Pirates represented one of the most formidable military organizations in the New World—a pirate army founded and commanded by "Hundred Beasts" Kaido himself, one of the Four Emperors. Their forces numbered nearly twenty thousand strong, creating a virtually unstoppable war machine.
Most members above middle-tier positions were users of Zoan-type Devil Fruits, and their heavily fortified headquarters occupied the entirety of Onigashima—a skull-shaped island that served as both fortress and symbol of their overwhelming power.
Below Governor Kaido in the chain of command, numerous ranks and positions existed in strict hierarchical order: the All-Stars, the Tobiroppo, the Headliners, the Numbers, the Gifters, the Pleasures, and the Waiters.
The Beast Pirates' core strength was built around the world-famous "Three All-Stars"—"King the Wildfire," "Queen the Plague," and "Jack the Drought." Each commanded tremendous respect and fear across the New World.
More than twenty elite combatants comprised the Headliner class beneath the All-Stars. The six strongest among these fighters were known as the "Flying Six"—senior officers second only to the Three All-Stars in authority and combat ability. Every member of the Flying Six possessed Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit powers.
The Numbers were ten colossal beings who towered even above normal giants, possessing strange appearances and tremendous physical power that made them living siege weapons.
The Gifters formed an army of artificial ability users belonging to the Beast Pirates. Approximately five hundred strong, each possessed unique powers and bizarre appearances resulting from consuming artificial Devil Fruits.
Among the Headliner, all members except the Flying Six had obtained their abilities through eating the artificial Devil Fruit known as "SMILE"—the same source that powered the Gifters' transformations.
The Pleasures were warriors who had consumed artificial Devil Fruits but failed to gain abilities. Due to horrific side effects, they could only express themselves through constant, uncontrollable laughter.
The Waiters were fighters who had not yet consumed Devil Fruits but eagerly anticipated receiving the opportunity to gain supernatural powers.
While the Beast Pirates' management structure appeared highly organized on the surface, internal status depended entirely on individual strength, with advancement achieved through layer-by-layer promotion based on combat prowess.
The Beast Pirates had been unable to prevent Jerry's crew from diving underwater and reaching Wano Country undetected, but shortly after their arrival, Kaido learned of the Black Star Pirates' presence. However, this intelligence hadn't interrupted his enjoyment of premium sake.
Just as Kaido was contemplating life, savoring the loneliness that came with overwhelming strength, and considering whether to dispatch troops, he received word that the Black Star Pirates had taken to the seas to attack Onigashima directly.
"Kaido-san," King's voice echoed through the main building of the fortress castle, "it appears there are additional intruders who just landed in Wano Country. Do you require me to eliminate them?"
In the castle's primary chamber, watching Jack and Queen coordinate their defensive preparations, King suddenly posed this question to his supreme commander.
"It doesn't matter in the slightest," Kaido replied, waving his sake gourd dismissively while signaling his right-hand man not to concern himself with such trivial matters. "Even if they do come, they can never take anything that belongs to me!"
"Additionally, there are some other individuals who should be from Zou..." King began, but stopped mid-sentence upon noticing Kaido's completely indifferent expression.
After a moment's pause, he nodded respectfully to his captain, who remained seated and drinking steadily. "Then I'll take my leave for now. If necessary, I will handle the situation personally."
King turned and began walking toward the chamber's exit.
However, before he could step through the doorway, an astonishing and soul-shaking aura suddenly struck him like a physical blow, instantly spreading to blanket the entire island of Onigashima.
"What?!" King's body froze mid-stride, his feet suspended in air as genuine shock flashed through his eyes.
At that moment, Kaido burst into booming laughter that echoed throughout the fortress: "I haven't even bothered looking for them yet, but they can't wait to come to me!"
Veins bulged visibly on his forehead as his voice dropped to a menacing growl: "That arrogant little brat! He's certainly made an impressive entrance."
Before finishing his statement, Kaido gestured dismissively at King, rose from his position, and strode toward the exit with ground-shaking steps.
In the center of Onigashima, a gigantic skull-shaped building towered over the landscape like a monument to death itself. In front of the structure and extending to both sides, countless individuals lay scattered across the ground like fallen leaves. Their bodies showed no obvious injuries, but every single person had lost consciousness and lay completely motionless.
The towering figure of Jack the Drought led the Flying Six members who remained capable of movement, along with several other fighters, as they slowly emerged from the shadowed interior of the skull's forehead section.
Jack surveyed the scene around him—numerous fighters lying unconscious among the crowd, along with Gifters, Pleasures, and Waiters scattered everywhere across the courtyard. Although he maintained an expression of controlled anger on the surface, internally he felt deeply shaken by what he was witnessing.
The wave of Conqueror's Haki that had just swept across the island had been so powerful that even he had felt distinctly uncomfortable under its pressure. This demonstration explained why even fighters who hadn't completely lost consciousness were temporarily unable to continue combat operations.
"Hey there, Jack! Long time no see," Jerry called out cheerfully, standing with arms crossed in the curved bay area in front of Onigashima. "Still having trouble finding your way around?"
Jack ignored the taunting entirely, his eyes radiating cold hostility as he responded: "How dare you come directly to our headquarters!"
The moment his words concluded, the earth began trembling violently as thunderous sounds erupted from both sides of the skull building.
"So that's him? He's been keeping us on edge for far too long!"
"And those insects behind him—kill every last one!"
Five enormous figures measuring tens of meters in height stepped forward with ground-shaking footsteps. These were the Numbers—the Beast Pirates' living siege weapons.
At that moment, the Black Nova slowly anchored behind Jerry's position, and Ace along with the rest of the crew appeared prominently on the bow.
"Hahaha! Don't think you can win just because of your ridiculous size, you oversized morons!" Skull stood behind the figurehead and called out with obvious disdain, seeing the enemy giants charging toward their position.
Hearing this insult, the Numbers flew into berserker rage. They didn't slow their advance for even a moment, instead raising their massive weapons and launching coordinated attacks on the Black Nova from multiple angles—left, right, and directly above.
Confronted by ancient giants exceeding sixty meters in height wielding proportionally enormous weapons, the Black Nova and Deuce's crew appeared almost toy-like by comparison.
However, faced with this assault that seemed to cover the entire sky in an instant, Ace and the others showed no signs of panic whatsoever.
"Behold my ultimate cannon!" Skull released a battle cry, quickly adjusting the angle of the weapon mounted at their ship's figurehead before suddenly activating the firing mechanism toward the three giants approaching from the right.
An extraordinarily brilliant beam of concentrated energy erupted from the cannon's muzzle, spreading outward in a fan-shaped pattern that instantly engulfed several of the massive enemies in its devastating light.
Simultaneously, a pink dragon expanded dramatically as it took to the air, intercepting the two giants attacking from the left side and lashing out with its powerful tail to strike them with tremendous force.
"Get out of my way!"
Two thunderous impacts echoed across the battlefield as both giants staggered backward from Deuce's swift assault.
Taking advantage of their momentary disorientation, he followed up by exhaling superheated flames from his dragon maw, directing the torrent of fire toward his now-vulnerable enemies.
An incredible column of flame shot forth from the dragon's mouth, instantly engulfing both giants in its scorching embrace.
"Look out!" several voices cried in alarm.
Witnessing this devastating display, Jack and the other Beast Pirates officers could no longer restrain themselves. They shouted warnings to their allies and rushed forward desperately, attempting to rescue their own forces from the unexpected assault.
"The big brothers are so incredible!" Tama exclaimed, sitting securely beside Carina on Kotatsu's back. Her eyes were wide with amazement as she stared at the spectacular battle unfolding before them.
"A pink dragon?"
Suddenly, a slightly surprised voice drifted down from high above, followed immediately by an overwhelming surge of Conqueror's Haki pressing down from the heavens like the weight of divine judgment.
However, Jerry appeared completely prepared for this development. The moment the oppressive aura began manifesting, he flashed upward through the air and countered with his own equally powerful Conqueror's Haki.
Flying beside him was Ace, whose entire body had become wreathed in white-hot flames that burned with the intensity of a miniature sun.
"BOOM!" The two waves of Conqueror's Haki collided with tremendous violence, creating howling winds as the resulting shockwaves rippled outward and rushed toward the sky. The atmospheric pressure was so intense that clouds scattered frantically in all directions.
Ace courageously pushed through the point where both Haki forces were clashing, seemingly unaffected by the overwhelming pressure.
He launched himself toward the massive figure standing atop the skull building like a human rocket, roaring with battle fury: "Kaido! Time to die!"
"Flame Commandment: Fire Fist!"
"I couldn't ask for anything better!" came Kaido's response—his voice filled with obvious excitement as his enormous form moved with surprising speed, bringing his spiked kanabo around in a devastating arc. The weapon crackled with explosive black lightning as it cut through the air.
"Thunder Bagua!"
Both attacks connected without either fighter attempting to defend, but only one figure—wreathed in brilliant flames—fell straight to the ground like a burning meteorite.
A tremendous crash echoed across Onigashima as dust flew everywhere, and a massive crater suddenly appeared in the earth where Ace had impacted.
Kaido, maintaining his hybrid beast form, casually reached up to pat the scorched marks on his chest before turning his attention to Jerry, who was calmly walking forward to face him directly.
"I have been eagerly anticipating your arrival and the world-class battle we're about to have!"
The Emperor's voice carried both menace and genuine enthusiasm as he continued: "And you people chose to come to Wano Country after all! That saved me considerable effort in hunting you down!"
The stage was set for an epic confrontation between two of the world's most powerful individuals, while around them, the greatest battle in Wano's recent history was about to unfold in earnest.
