Chapter 4 - GRADUATION & CARRER PATH

TWO YEARS LATER (Raijin's age 13 years)

It's been 6 years since Raijin joined the academy in the hopes of becoming a strong shinobi and faced countless obstacles on his way but now he has finally graduating from it. Now he was sitting in his classroom for what he hopes for last time and waiting for the Tadashi Sensei to come.

During this last two years he has gather information from the senior students of the class of clan kids that generally all the students will be divided into teams of three and they were called as three man cells and they will undertake all the missions together with them. The teams will be led by a Jonin class shinobi.

There are different position of shinobi in the village and all the position are called genin, chunnin & jonin. These names of positions are true for every shinobi village in the world. A shinobi's power is not depended on his position in the village so there are also classifications of power which are same as mission classification.

As majority of Shinobi try to keep their combat power and techniques secret so their power class depends upon the number of mission they complete. If a shinobi completes 100 ranked mission of a specific class then he/she will be classified at that rank.

For example when a shinobi just graduate they will become a genin and get the class of E and after completing 100 D ranked missions they will be classified as D class then for 100 C ranked mission they will be classified as C class for 100 B ranked mission they will be classified as B class for 100 A ranked mission they will be classified as A class.

Although S class ninja exist he does not know how they were classified as such. From this Raijin gets the picture of the general strength of genin, chunnin, jonin in the and beyond the village. Generally a genin will be D ranked, a chunnin will be C ranked, Jonin will be B rank and Elite Jonin will be A ranked, with that he guessed that may be Kage level will be S ranked.

As he was waiting Raijin began thinking about his results of training, first in terms of taijutsu. The academy curriculum does not have any advance scroll containing high level taijutsu even not in the library, the scrolls only contain basics of them like proper stances of punching & kicking, how to grapple an opponent to submission & how to dodge & parry attacks safely. The intermediate level scroll contains how to transition from punching to kicking or to dodging etc.

All of it took one year for Raijin to perform them without any mistakes and as there aren't any advance techniques he decided to increase the difficulty level by practicing them by tying stones on his hands and feet, he first started by tying small stones and gradually replaces them by tying heavier stone and when the stones became too big he began tying them on his back.

One thing he noticed by practising taijutsu this way that his physical energy was also increasing this way, so he decided to abandon his daily physical training and began focusing all of that allocated time in taijutsu training only and as a result his speed, power, reaction time massively increases.

By his own estimate speed, power, reaction time increase by nearly ten times from before. Although he found out from last week sparring matches with other students that he is above everyone in his class but he don't know how much it will compare to other genin, chunin or jonin. All of these extreme hard work results in increasing his physical energy from 150 to 200.

Hi medical studies wields mixed results, at first he struggles to understand even the basics of it but gradually by referencing various book available in the library he began understanding bit by bit and as he started understanding his high mental energy gradually began helping him learn & understand them faster and faster and in two years he has completely memorised and understood everything there is to learn about being a doctor.

One thing he was disappointed by was that not one scrolls or books contains any medical jutsu. Well despite not learning any jutsu all of the learning results in increasing his mental energy from 150 to 200. As his both physical & mental energies increases then his total chakra reserves also increased from 22500 to 40000.

His study of medical also helps him in mapping the locations of his tenketsu and as a result his leaf sticking exercise was sped up & he completely mastered it in one year. Raijin noticed that for every 100 tenketsu his chakra control increased by 10%, so after one year his control increased to 80% which is very rare in the shinobi world as he learned from medical study but he was not satisfied with it so after some thinking de decides to replace leaf with small stones and then tries to do the exercise and the difficulty level increased by 10 times but he didn't give up and continued to practise it and finally after one year he succeeded and his chakra control became 100%. That means his chakra capacity is now same as his chakra reserve which means he can make use of his full reserves.

In respects to his Ninjutsu practise it took him one month each to be able to successfully perform them on basic level means performing them with full hand seals and shouting the jutsu name. After that he first tries to perform them without shouting and was able to do them in two months for each one.

But try as he might he was not able to reduce the number of hand seals completely. He was able to reduce their from original 5 seals to 2 seals but after achieving 80% chakra control he was able to perform them without any seals but the jutsu produces lot of chakra smoke signifying loss of control. But when he tried last night after achieving perfect chakra control, he was able to perform them instantly without any hand seals, shouting & chakra smoke.

Just as he was done performing them, he freezes and an absurd idea began taking form in his mind. The idea of creating his own original jutsu.

With the study of medical books & scrolls he finally learned about his physical and chakra parameters in the grand scheme of things. He leaned that generally an average genin has 4 times chakra as that of academy students, average chunin also have 4 times the chakra of an average genin, but an average jonin has just a bit more chakra than double of a chunin, an elite jonin has approximately double amount of chakra than a jonin. Lastly a kage level shinobi has two times the chakra of an elite jonin at minimum.

Raijin also learned that similar to the classification of shinobi from E class to S class the jutsus were also classified ranging from E rank to S rank. An academy student with his total chakra reserve can perform 10 E ranks jutsus one after other, an average genin can perform 10 D ranks jutsus one after other, an average chunin can perform 10 C ranks jutsus one after other, an average jonin can perform 10 B ranks jutsus one after other, an elite jonin can perform 10 A ranks jutsus one after other. Although there was not data about kage level shinobi's he can guess accordingly that may be a Kage level shinobi can perform 10 S rank jutsu one after another.

One thing he noticed that as his physical and mental energies are balanced and his chakra capacity and reserves are finally same, he noticed that all three ninjutsu now consumes 50% less chakra from before. That means he can now accurately measure his chakra amount.

So with than information in mind on a new day Raijin began trying the only three Ninjutsu he knew. After exhausting his chakra in three hour he found that he had already performed E ranked technique a total of 800 times. He was in disbelief because from his understanding an E rank jutsu takes about 100 units of chakra approx. And by factoring his 50% less consumption his took 50 units of chakra, that means his chakra amount will be 50*800 = 40000 which he knows is accurate by constantly measuring his physical & mental techniques. Even he was shocked by the sheer number of times he performed a jutsu, even if it's an E rank jutsu.

It took him some time for him to come out of his shock and a large smile burst on his face and he let out a loud belly laugh in excitement. After calming down from his high horse he began calculating about the actual value of his chakra and came to the conclusion that he had chakra capacity and reserve of a chunin level shinobi.

Raijin came out of his thoughts when Tadashi Sensei enters the room with a heavy expression on his face, so he gave him his full attention.

Tadashi went to the front of the classroom and sighed "Congratulation students from today you are all shinobi of Village hidden in the leaves (KONOHA)." Hearing this all the students were in doubt.

One student stood up and asked confusedly "What do you mean sensei? We have not takes the graduation exam so how is that possible?" while scratching his head.

Again Tadashi sighed and replied "It's time to tell all of you the truth." He took a deep breath and continues "This class is for general civillian students only and there weren't any exceptional students among you so you all did not need to take any test to become a shinobi." Hearing this all the students cheered but Raijin got a bad feeling on his chest.

Hearing the cheering Tadashi continues "Now as you are all shinobi so there are only two options for you, one is to join the military division as a genin reserve or become an independent genin of the village."

Raijin raised his hand while sitting and asked curiously "What's the difference between the 2 sensei?" Raijin had a sinking feeling in his heart that he knew about it but wanted confirmation.

Tadashi though 'I must make sure that all of them would join the military division as the order from the higher ups as it will bolster the overall village might' and replied "If you joins the military division you would not have to do any mandatory 'D' ranked missions, you will receive a fixed salary and you will also receive high level training."

"If you become an independent genin your growth will completely depend upon your efforts. For example as you are from non clan background you will not be a part of any team which means there will be no one as a backup in case of life and death situations in missions & as you will be not in any team there will be no jonin to guide you in your training so it will be difficult to learn high level jutsus." Tadashi took a breath and continues.

"You all will have to participate a mandatory one D rank mission every three days and you will only be able to take higher rank mission once you complete a set amount of mission from previous rank that means if you want to take an B rank mission you would have to take 10 C rank mission, if you want to take a C rank one then you would have to complete 100 D rank one. You will only be allowed to buy and learn a jutsu scroll of the same rank of which you have performed the mission. That means if you had done D rank mission then you can only learn D rank techniques and the price of each jutsu scroll of a particular is equal to the mission payment of that rank. That means the price of one D rank jutsu is payments of 1 D ranked missions." finished Tadashi while inwardly hoping all of the students will choose to join military division.

Raijin furrowed his brow and again raised his hands and asked "Why there is such restriction on access of jutsus, sensei?"

Tadashi replies "As villages overall strengths depend upon each one of you this restriction is due to that no one attempts to learn advance jutsu hastily without prior experience."

"Now those who choose to join the military division please exit the classroom and got to the second floor auditorium." instructs Tadashi and all of the students' exits the class room excitedly and enthusiastically except Raijin.

Seeing only Raijin's presence Tadashi raises his eyebrow and asked "What's the matter why sitting there? Quickly go to the auditorium."

"I choose to become independent genin sensei. Please tell me the further procedure for it." Raijin replied determinedly.
