While Akaza and Nezu planned their next move, the rest of Class 1-A was thrust back into the light.

The arena was an open-air coliseum, its floor a complex cityscape of factories, office buildings, and residential streets. Over fifteen hundred students from schools all across Japan gathered.

Mera, the exhausted proctor from the Hero Public Safety Commission, droned on from the main stage, his voice the very definition of burnout.

"Alright, everyone, listen up. The first test is a culling game. You all have three targets on your bodies: one on your chest and one on each shoulder. You also have six balls. The goal is to eliminate others by hitting all three of their targets. Once all three of your targets are lit, you're out. The first one hundred students to eliminate two opponents will pass and move on to the next round. Good luck, or whatever."

The moment he finished, the arena walls collapsed outward, and the exam began.

What happened next was instantaneous. The "U.A. Crunch."

From every direction, hundreds of students from Ketsubutsu, Shiketsu, and a dozen other academies attacked as one. They all had the same target: Class 1-A. A wave of projectiles was launched towards them.

"They're all-out attacking us!" Kaminari shrieked. "This is what Ms. Joke meant!" Izuku yelled, activating Full Cowling. "Everyone, stick together!"

But the core of Class 1-A didn't need to be told. They didn't even flinch.

"Pussies," Bakugo spat, as a murderous grin spread across his face.

"This is a waste of time," Shoto stated, his right side already frosting over.

"Good," Rumi smiled. "Try to keep up."

The "Big 3" of the class moved first.

"DON'T GET IN MY WAY!" Bakugo roared. He launched himself into the air and unleashed a massive, controlled AP Shot: Auto-Cannon, not as a wild blast but as focused, percussive strikes that vaporized the first wave of incoming attacks. Shoto slammed his foot down. A huge Ice Wall erupted from the ground, splitting the main mob in two, giving his classmates a crucial second to breathe and scatter. Rumi was just… gone. She used Soru, a white blur that hit the front line of Ketsubutsu students like a cannonball. Before they could even register her presence, she had landed three aura-enhanced kicks, and three students were on the ground, their targets lit, their exams over.

"TOO SLOW!" she yelled, already bounding off a wall to take out three more.

"This year, I'm not worried about my class," Aizawa's voice echoed in the observation room, a cold smirk on his face. "I think the other schools should be worried about them."

The U.A. Crunch had just met a U.A. Counter-Offensive.

Bakugo, now fully in his element, was a god of aerial combat. He used his focused blasts to weave through the air, his new martial arts-enhanced kicks adding power to his attacks. A group of students tried to trap him with a net. He simply vaporized it with a Howitzer Impact, the shockwave taking all of them out.

Shoto was just as terrifying. He had a crowd of students pinned down with a glacier, but as they adapted, he didn't hesitate. He unleashed a torrent of fire, not at them, but at the ice, creating a massive, blinding smokescreen. He then walked through the fog, calmly tapping them out one by one with his ice, their targets lighting up before they even knew he was there.

Rumi was, simply put, a culling game all by herself. She was a white lightning bolt that the other students couldn't even track. She'd use Geppo to run up the side of a building, launch herself off, and take out an entire squad from above before her feet even touched the ground.

While the "Big 3" tore through the competition, the rest of the class proved they were not the same students from the USJ. Izuku, targeted by the Ketsubutsu girl, Camie, was lured into an illusion.

But right before she could eliminate him, he leaped, barely dodging the sneak attack.

Momo, Jiro, Tsuyu, and Uraraka found themselves cornered in a dark alley by a squad from Seiai Academy, a group of girls with coordinated attacks.

Momo froze, the memory of Muscular's overwhelming power, of her own uselessness, crashing down on her. "Momo, now is not the time!" Jiro yelled, dodging a blast. Momo looked at her friends, at their desperate, trusting faces. She remembered Shoto's words from the exam, his calm faith in her. She remembered Bakugo's speech. She wouldn't be a "fake."

"Everyone, I have a plan!" she said, her confidence surging back. She created a massive set of speakers and an amplifier. "Jiro, plug in! Asui, Uraraka, get ready to move!" Momo created a flash-bang, detonating it. In the blind confusion, Jiro unleashed her Heartbeat Fuzz through the amp, a sonic boom that shattered the Seiai students' goggles and sent them reeling in pain. Uraraka and Asui, insulated by Momo's creations, moved in, tagging out the entire squad.

In the center of the arena, Inasa Yoarashi, the passionate student from Shiketsu, watched the U.A. students. He saw their power, their skill, their arrogance. He saw Rumi laughing as she took out another student. He saw Bakugo's explosive glee. "NOT HEROIC!" he roared, and unleashed his quirk.

A massive, swirling tornado ripped through the plaza, sucking up hundreds of balls. He unleashed them in a single blast, eliminating 120 students in one go. But the U.A. students, already hardened by villains and monster-class teammates, had seen it coming. They had braced, shielded, and were largely unharmed.

One by one, the "PASS" counter ticked up. Soon, all 18 members of Class 1-A had passed the first phase.

The second, and final, phase began moments later. The arena, still in ruins, was suddenly rocked by massive explosions. The ground collapsed, revealing a simulated urban disaster. Fires raged, buildings toppled, and from hidden cavities, actors from the "Help Us Company" (H.U.C.) began to scream, their bodies covered in fake blood and injuries.

"A rescue test!" Izuku yelled, his eyes bright. This, this, was what being a hero was all about.

The class, without needing to be told, broke into teams. Izuku, Iida, and Uraraka formed a high-mobility team, their skills perfectly suited for reaching trapped civilians. Shoto and Momo became a structural-support duo. He used his ice to create stable pathways, while she created jacks, medical supplies, and transport sleds. Their teamwork was flawless.

Shoto's quiet faith gave Momo the confidence she needed to take the lead, her mind working to solve every problem.

Bakugo and Kirishima were a "Search and Destroy" team. "Hard-head!" Bakugo barked, pointing at a massive pile of rubble where a child was crying.

"That family is trapped! Get 'em, I'll cover you!"

"Right!" Kirishima hardened his body and charged in. "Don't you dare hurt them, you spiky-haired psycho!" Bakugo yelled at himself, using small, precise AP Shots to blast away debris.

Rumi, meanwhile, was a one-woman ambulance. She used her speed to zip from victim to victim, assessing their injuries.

"You're fine, you're not bleeding," she'd tell one. "You, broken leg, don't move." She'd use her strength to clear a heavy slab, pull a victim out, and have them at the first-aid station in seconds.

Then, the bombs went off. "ATTENTION, HEROES! VILLAINS HAVE APPEARED! SUPPRESS THE THREATS WHILE CONTINUING YOUR RESCUE OPERATIONS!"

Gang Orca and his sidekicks, all in villain masks, stormed the plaza. His target was clear: the main group of H.U.C. actors.

Inasa Yoarashi, seeing his moment, moved to intercept, his wind clashing with Orca's. But Yo Shindo, from Ketsubutsu, used his Vibrate quirk on the ground, accidentally disrupting Inasa's footing. The two rivals' attacks clashed, sending a wave of uncontrolled wind and tremors right towards the victims.

Shoto, seeing this, slammed his hand down, creating a massive, reinforced ice wall, shielding the civilians from the friendly fire.

"Todoroki, good move!" Izuku yelled. Gang Orca, seizing the moment of distraction, unleashed a hypersonic wave, paralyzing Inasa, Shindo, and dozens of other students.

"They're heading for the victims!" Izuku screamed, his body tensing.

"Deku, get the normies!" Bakugo roared, flying in from the side. "Kirishima, get that idiot with the vibrating hands! Icy-Hot, Fish-Face is mine! Rabbit! Back me up!"

Izuku, Jiro, and Uraraka rushed to move the paralyzed actors.

And the Big 3 met Gang Orca head-on.

"THIS IS IT, ERASER!" Present Mic screamed from the observation booth, where Akaza was now standing beside him, watching the show.

"YOUR PROBLEM CHILDREN ARE TAKING ON THE NUMBER 10 HERO!"

Gang Orca was a pro. He was faster and stronger than any of them. But he wasn't prepared for their teamwork. "Eat this!" Bakugo yelled, using a massive explosion as a feint, forcing Orca to brace. The moment Orca was still, Rumi was on him, using Geppo to get above his guard, her aura-enhanced kick slamming into the back of his head. Orca stumbled, and Shoto was already there, unleashing a torrent of flame, drying out the orca-hero's skin and weakening him. "My turn!" Bakugo screamed, his Howitzer Impact ready. Rumi and Shoto broke off, giving him the opening. The resulting explosion engulfed Gang Orca, ending the "villain" threat.

Gang Orca lay on the ground, acting defeated.

The exam was over. The students stood, exhausted, as Mera shuffled back onto the stage. "The results are in,".

One by one, the names of Class 1-A appeared. Iida. Uraraka. Izuku. Momo. All 18 of them. They had all passed. A wave of joyous, tearful relief washed over them.

"And now," Mera continued, "we will announce the top scores of the exam." The screen highlighted three names. Todoroki, Shoto: 98Bakugo, Katsuki: 97Usagiyama, Rumi: 97

Mera sighed. "While some students let personal rivalries endanger the rescue, Todoroki showed exemplary judgment by prioritizing civilian safety. Usagiyama and Bakugo demonstrated controlled power to neutralize the primary threat, allowing the other heroes to complete the rescue. This is the maturity and power we expect."

The class cheered. Rumi, Bakugo, and Shoto looked at each other. A silent, shared nod of respect passed between them.

Akaza, watching this, smiled. Happy that Rumi and his friends did so well.
