Chapter 35 - Red Dress, Unspoken Goodbyes

One day, Suzy organized a grand fashion show to showcase her latest jewelry collection. It wasn't just any event—it was meant to grab the media's spotlight and make a bold statement in the fashion world.

She specially invited four people—Dean, Sejal, Herry, and Ken.

At first, Ken wasn't sure he'd go.

His connection with Suzy had faded over time, and seeing Sejal in person had become something that made his heart hesitate. The very thought of crossing paths with her again made him feel... hollow.

But eventually, after some hesitation, Ken decided to accept Suzy's invitation and attend the show.

As soon as he arrived, Ken was left stunned.

The venue sparkled under chandeliers and bright lights, with celebrities, high-profile designers, famous models, and industry giants filling every corner of the room. Ken, usually so calm and composed, felt slightly overwhelmed.

Sensing his discomfort, Suzy walked over with a warm smile and began introducing him to several important guests.

She even introduced Ken to a few investors, as well as models who could be perfect for promoting his latest game.

And just like that—Suzy gave Ken a golden opportunity that could take his company to the next level.

Ken nodded respectfully and thanked her.

He couldn't deny it—today might become one of the most significant turning points of his career.

As he continued mingling with the crowd, Ken's eyes suddenly paused.

Just off the main stage, near a decorative corner, stood two very familiar faces—Sejal and Dean.

For a few seconds, time stopped.

Ken's eyes stayed fixed on Sejal.

Draped in a deep red gown, with soft, delicate jewelry, and her long hair flowing gently over her shoulders—Sejal looked like something out of a fairy tale.

A royal vision. A silent ache.

Ken quietly whispered in his mind:

"Sejal… You look breathtaking in red tonight.

You and Dean… you look like you belong together.

As if fate wrote your story long before either of you knew it."

Just then, Herry gently placed a hand on Ken's shoulder from behind.

"Ken, I saw the promo poster for your new game. It looks incredible!"

Ken smiled warmly. "Thank you, Herry. Praise from a senior like you means a lot."

Herry nodded and led him a bit further into the room.

Mid-conversation, Herry asked thoughtfully,

"Ken, have you ever thought of getting married someday? If you want, I could help you find someone good... someone who truly values you."

Ken chuckled lightly. "Not anytime soon, dada. Honestly, I'm too focused on work these days."

Herry looked at him with a calm, sincere expression.

"Alright. But listen—if you ever face any trouble, or need help making a tough decision… just treat me like your own elder brother and come talk to me. Promise?"

Ken's smile grew softer.

"I promise."

After a while, Ken quietly made his way to Suzy, thanked her once again for the invitation, and left the venue.

What Dean and Sejal didn't realize, as they stood chatting near the side, was that the man who once would've given up everything for Sejal had just walked past them...

…without saying a word.
